As a medical director at VEG, your office is the ER and your superpower is leadership. You’ll coach and inspire a high-performing clinical team, build relationships with local referring vets, and help recruit and mentor the next generation of ER doctors. You’ll uphold medical quality, promote collaboration, and embody the core values we share as a company.


VEG gives you the autonomy to make decisions, innovate, and grow your practice. Your main job is to lead, not carry a full load of clinical cases. That’s why you won’t be scheduled for primary shifts—freeing you up to focus on your team. We also invest in you as a leader with free, extensive training and a strong support network to help you thrive.

As a hospital manager, you’re the culture-setter and operational lead of your VEG. You’ll take ownership of the hospital like it’s your own—boosting efficiency, building community connections through events, and ensuring your team feels seen, supported, and valued.


You’ll partner closely with other VEG leaders and departments to keep everything running smoothly and with purpose. With the autonomy to shape your hospital your way, you’ll be empowered to make a real impact. Like all leaders at VEG, you’ll receive comprehensive leadership training designed to sharpen your skills and set you up for long-term success.

Nursing managers at VEG are credentialed veterinary nurses with 5+ years of experience who are ready to take the next step. In this pivotal role, you’ll partner with your hospital manager to lead the nursing team, guide performance, and ensure every patient receives high quality care.


You’ll lead the team, shape the strategy, and drive performance—through hands-on teaching, steady encouragement, and living the VEG way out loud. You’ll still be immersed in the ER environment, but without primary clinical shifts, so you can focus fully on people, culture, and quality. You’ll also complete our four-month leadership training program, and have the opportunity to drive real, lasting change in the field of veterinary nursing.

As a market owner, you’re the heartbeat of a region of VEG hospitals—and the person who finds a way to say yes so VEGgies, pets, and their people can thrive. You lead with pride, accountability, and a deep sense of responsibility with everything that happens across your market. You’ll lead 6 to 12 hospitals across your market, helping each one deliver the kind of care, community, and culture that makes VEGgies say, “I love working here,” and pet parents say, “I trust VEG with my pet.”


You’ll mentor hospital leaders, coach teams, and remove the roadblocks that stand in the way of great medicine and great experiences. You’ll be the one showing up for a grand opening, pitching in during a tough shift, or supporting a VEGgie chasing their next big career goal. From patient outcomes to team happiness to financial success—you own it all.
