She discovered her passion for emergency medicine early on, working in a specialty ER in Chandler, Arizona. There, she developed a strong interest in wound repairs, inpatient case management, and teaching. Dr. Underhill joined VEG in 2023 as an ER doctor and values the hospital's unique approach to care, where doctors sit on the floor to create a comforting, collaborative environment that keeps pets and their owners together.
