DO I HAVE TO CALL BEFORE COMING IN?

We had to come in the middle of the night for my dog’s care. We were instantly greeted by some nice vet technicians, the lady with the southern accent that just moved here in January (sorry I forgot her name!) was assisting us the whole time. She was SO sweet and kind, and definitely made the experience better as sometimes you don’t usually connect with the workers during a visit at all. She seemed like someone I would totally be friends with outside of this emergency visit. We also thought our doctor (Dr. Gunn) was very knowledgeable and always answered any questions I had. The thing that we really appreciate the most is that we were able to stay with our dog the whole time and watch what happened. With other clinics, our dog is taken away from us and we don’t have any updates or anything for hours and we can’t see her as well. This open concept makes us feel more comfortable as pet owners as we want to know the status of our dog! If we need to come back in the future we will definitely go back even though we live in Milwaukie, and recommend this hospital to our friends/family. We were discharged with lots of thorough instructions and we just felt really cared for because our dog means everything to us!

Best experience I could have asked for, I am so grateful to the staff at VEG! Our 8 year old kitty accidentally ate a rubber band and had it sticking partway out his butt; my wife and I were in a panic at 2am and called to see if they could see him. They sent a check-in link via text, we filled it in, and went straight there. As soon as we arrived, they immediately examined our little guy and assessed for any urgent needs. During our visit he got xrays (which they even let me come watch for), an enema, and a few injections to help with his constipation and comfort. Every staff member was caring, gentle, kind, and compassionate to him the whole time -- it's clear the team truly loves animals! They were also very empathetic about my financial situation, I didn't have the funds in the bank, but they helped me apply for Care Credit so he could get the care he needed right away. At the end of it all, his xrays were all clear and they sent us on our way with everything we needed to keep an eye on him while he worked thru it. This morning he finally passed the rubber band and he's happy and thriving once again! Thank you VEG staff, thank you one million times over!! I'm so happy we came to you with our cat!

I don't usually leave reviews, but this place deserved one. Brought my dog Scout in for vomiting and diarrhea, and honestly the experience exceeded every expectation I had for an emergency vet. Everyone from the Scott who helped with the payments, to the technicians, and the amazing doctor was genuinely kind and treated Scout like he mattered. Before doing anything, they explained every recommendation, walked me through costs upfront, and answered my questions without making me feel rushed or pressured. The doctor was thorough, communicated clearly, and made sure I left knowing exactly what to watch for. Most importantly, it felt like they cared for Scout like he was their own pet, not just another patient coming through the door. Emergency vet care isn't cheap, but I left feeling like every dollar was well spent on a team that actually cared about getting Scout the right outcome. Wouldn't hesitate to bring him back if he ever needed emergency care again. Hope I never have to. Thank you. 🐾
