Out of all the emergency pet facilities I’ve visited, this one is by far the best. They offer a well-stocked snack area, which is a thoughtful touch during a stressful time as you wait for your pets prognosis. The staff is consistently attentive to both you and your pet’s comfort, and they clearly explain the entire process, including pricing. Although some costs may seem high at first, I was pleasantly surprised to find that in certain cases it can actually be more affordable than going to a primary veterinarian. Highly recommend!

We had an unexpected and stressful visit to VEG ER in Nanuet after our dog, Jensen, was bitten, and I truly can’t say enough about the care we received from Dr. Bandura and her entire team. From the moment we walked in, the nurses, support staff, and medical team were calm, compassionate, and incredibly professional. They understood how anxious we were and took the time to explain everything clearly — from examining the puncture wound to outlining treatment options and recovery expectations. Dr. Bandura was thoughtful, thorough, and reassuring throughout the entire process. One thing that stood out in particular was how she handled the discussion around sedation. She provided clear expert guidance and walked us through the options, but ultimately we chose to go another route. Dr. Bandura was completely respectful of our decision, supportive, and continued to provide outstanding care without any pressure — which meant a lot in a stressful moment. The nursing team was equally fantastic — attentive, compassionate, and incredibly hands-on throughout the entire visit. They treated Jensen with such gentleness and care, taking the time to carefully shave and clean the area, thoroughly flush the wound, and keep him as comfortable as possible throughout the process. What stood out most was how they physically stayed with him — holding him, reassuring him, and working together in a calm, coordinated way that made a stressful situation feel controlled and thoughtful. It was clear they weren’t just performing a procedure — they were caring for him with patience, empathy, and professionalism. Emergency situations are never easy, but the team at VEG ER Nanuet made a difficult moment feel manageable. Jensen was in excellent hands, and we’re incredibly grateful for the level of care, professionalism, and compassion they showed. If you ever find yourself needing emergency veterinary care, this is exactly the kind of team you hope to have by your side.
