VEG Emergency Vet in Albuquerque, New Mexico

I am a truck driver and I was delivering in Nevada and when you have to find a place in the middle of the night to see your pet it can be a 50/50 shot you will find a good place. This place was amazing to me and my fur baby. Dr.Copeland went above and beyond to treat my girl. He was very gentle and kind and took her issue seriously (unlike the previous vet er I was at before I went to VEG) He was one of the best vets I have seen. He also helped me with other issues that didn’t pertain to the visit with Moe. The whole staff was so kind and they all worked together very smoothly. There was also one specific vet tech whose name I wish I had gotten because she was who accessed Moe when I came in and treated her until her shift ended and she was so sweet and gentle with my baby. I am so grateful I found VEG and I am especially grateful to Dr. Copeland and the vet tech for everything.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated with a level of compassion, kindness, and professionalism that I will never forget. My fur baby had been deteriorating rapidly, and I was terrified that I was losing him. I had been desperately searching for answers, and for the first time, I genuinely felt heard. The veterinary team listened carefully to my concerns, took the time to understand his history, and developed a thorough, thoughtful plan of care. Every recommendation was explained clearly, and I was included in the decision-making process every step of the way. What touched me most was the tenderness with which they handled my baby. He was hurting, frightened, and vulnerable, and they treated him with such patience, gentleness, and respect. That alone meant more to me than words can express. We spent approximately six hours there, but somehow, it never felt like six hours. The staff checked on us constantly, offered snacks and drinks, and even made sure I had a phone charger. Those may seem like small gestures, but when you're sitting in an emergency hospital scared for your pet's life, they mean absolutely everything. Not once did I feel forgotten. Their financial transparency was equally remarkable. They were upfront about costs, carefully explained our options, and actually presented the most cost-effective approaches before discussing more expensive alternatives. I never felt pressured or taken advantage of. Instead, I felt respected, informed, and supported. I walked into VEG terrified that I was losing my best friend. I walked out feeling heard, reassured, and, most importantly, hopeful that my boy has a fighting chance. I will forever be grateful to the entire team for the exceptional medical attention they provided and the humanity they showed both of us. You didn't just care for my dog. You cared for me, too. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I cannot recommend VEG ER for Pets highly enough.

VEG was amazing! All the staff very nice, doctors very nice. They cared for my dog. Clean office!!! Cecila saw my dog and cared and was gentle. Chancho was not as thrilled. Instead of trying to get us to spend more money her recommendations made sense!!! I used to work with animals for 15 yrs so to be honest I missed just being in the environment. Great experience!!!!
