"I am a native Southwest Kansan and graduated with my DVM from Kansas State University. I had a strong interest in surgery and emergency care, so I began to expand my education over the next 2 years with a rotating internship at Mississippi State University and a surgical internship at a private surgical practice in Indianapolis. From there, I moved to Omaha and practiced as a general veterinarian for a little over a year until I met the love of my life and moved to the Kansas City area (Go Current!). I began practicing in a high-volume ER and specialty practice and found my passion for emergency medicine growing. Over the next 25 years, I continued to develop my emergency skills while mentoring “new to ER” DVMs and technicians. I have always wished to return to Omaha to be close to family and VEG was opening a new hospital in 2026—another perfect match! I love all things dogs and cats and can't wait to serve the Omaha community as the medical director for VEG!"
