WHERE CAN I TAKE MY PET BIRD OR EXOTIC PET IN AN EMERGENCY?

VEG is skilled to handle emergency care for avians, reptiles, and all types of exotic pets.

DO I HAVE TO CALL BEFORE COMING IN?

Though you can just walk into any of our 24 hour hospitals, we recommend calling first so we’re familiar with the situation when you come in.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT VEG?

When you take your pet to VEG, you’ll be seen by a veterinarian right away, even before filling out paperwork. We’ll even meet you at your car if you need help bringing in your pet. No waiting in the lobby; you stay with your pet the entire time, even if surgery is involved. And yes, we’re pet lovers, but we’re people-friendly too! We’ll openly discuss diagnosis and treatment options. And we always make sure the pet patient and pet parent are as comfortable as possible.

We had a great experience with all of the staff at VEG. The tech, Jessica, was compassionate and attentive. Dr. Morgan explained our options financially and risk factors for the situation. He explained what he was doing during the procedure and displayed awesome endoscopy skills. We’re so glad we chose them to take care of our pup.

They are amazing! I took my bunny in because he went into GI stasis, and they were so incredible in treating him. They where extremely communicative with us throughout his treatment and gave us choice and an opportunity to be involved in every part of the process, letting me pet him while he was given shots, asking if we wanted to be with him for his x-rays and blood draw, and giving us a great deal of choice to ensure both his and our comfort throughout his care. We saw Dawn the most in our room and even though it was 1 am she was full of energy and positivity that helped to put us at ease. I greatly appreciate the option to sleep at the hospital for emergency overnight hospitalization, really an amazing place to have your pet treated if you are in the unfortunate position to need it. I am so grateful to the VEG team and am so relieved to have my happy, healthy bunny back!

My mini dachshund had eaten some tylenol and the staff was SO comforting and knowledgeable. They helped over the phone and when we got there it was a great experience from start to finish. The way they treated my puppy kept me and my puppy calm and comfortable, they are super hospitable. I wish they were a primary care vet because of how good they are. Highly highly highly recommend.
