Dr. Pansy Lee-Suzuki
Medical Director
VA-MD Regional College of Vet Med
Dr. Pansy Lee-Suzuki graduated from VA-MD Regional College of Vet Med in 2007 and started out in general practice/urgent care and has had the privilege of practicing in several different cities around the country and abroad. Her first experience with emergency medicine was in London, UK and it changed her life! From that point on, she knew that she had to pursue a career in emergency medicine, so of course, VEG ER for pets was the natural place to be.
She has been with VEG since April 2020, and has learned and grown tremendously throughout her career here. She truly believes if you are looking for a collaborative work environment that is hugely supportive, then VEG is the place to be. She commits to ensuring the VEG mission is
fulfilled and believes in investing in doctors and support staff with education/growth, emotional/mental support. She truly believes that VEG is revolutionizing the way we help people and their pets when they need it the most.
She was the Medical Director of 2 VEG hospitals in Washington DC for the past 2.5 years and is now the Medical Director in the Columbia, Elkridge location.
Outside of her busy work life, she prioritizes her family and is the mother of 2 beautiful girls and two fur babies. Some hobbies include-running outdoors (making it a point to run anywhere she travels!) working out/being active in general, spending quality time with my loved ones and of course, like most people, she really enjoys good food and travel!

WHERE CAN I TAKE MY PET BIRD OR EXOTIC PET IN AN EMERGENCY?
VEG is skilled to handle emergency care for avians, reptiles, and all types of exotic pets.
DO I HAVE TO CALL BEFORE COMING IN?
Though you can just walk into any of our 24 hour hospitals, we recommend calling first so we’re familiar with the situation when you come in.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT VEG?
When you take your pet to VEG, you’ll be seen by a veterinarian right away, even before filling out paperwork. We’ll even meet you at your car if you need help bringing in your pet.
