I could not more highly recommend VEG ER for your pet's urgent care needs! The staff were super empathetic and all so loving to my senior dog, even though she was nervous, the vet techs made her feel comfortable and were able to get her to cooperate easily. The beyond kind staff went above and beyond for my baby and i am so appreciative! Not only were they good with my dog, they were also really reassuring to me and very directly explained the options. I love this place and am so grateful to the staff for their devotion and care!

We had an amazing experience with this emergency vet hospital. Our primary vet had ended their emergency services without any announcement, and the other emergency clinics closer to us were too busy to see our dog, so we ended up driving 2.5 hours to come here. It was completely worth it. The entire staff was compassionate, professional, and truly caring. When we first called to see if our dog could be treated, they even put a veterinarian on the phone to better understand the situation we were experiencing, which meant so much to us during such a stressful time. They treated our dog so well and made everything feel much more manageable. Honestly, I LOVED this ER vet far more than our normal primary care vet. We are so grateful for the care they provided and how comfortable they made us feel. Scary situations with your fur baby are never easy, but I truly felt like she was in the best hands here. 10/10 experience, and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing emergency veterinary care.

I wasn’t sure what to expect walking into VEG ER for Pets in Alpharetta, but from the moment we arrived, every single person we encountered treated us with incredible compassion, kindness, and respect. They never made us feel rushed. They answered every question with patience and gave my daughter and me all the time we needed to say goodbye. Even though our pet was tiny, they treated her life as though it mattered just as much as any other animal that came through their doors. We never felt like just another case or another bill. Before we left, they gave us a clipping of her fur and the tiniest paw prints they’ve ever made. Those keepsakes mean more to us than I can put into words and will be something we treasure forever. Losing a pet is heartbreaking, but VEG made an incredibly painful day just a little more bearable. We are grateful for the empathy, dignity, and genuine humanity they showed our family. Thank you for reminding us that the size of a life has nothing to do with the size of the love it leaves behind.

I have often found the other emergency vets in the area have staff too undertrained and not equipped to deal with actual procedures. When my cat accidentally swallowed a six inch piece of string at 12:30am Saturday, I debated about calling any of them for an hour. Then I remembered there was a new one I saw on Dorset Street. It was a very long night and they had to try a couple methods, but they were all so calm and pleasant and prepared to actually treat the problem there. Surgery was not necessary but they were ready if it came to that. None of the ‘sorry we can’t do that here you’ll need to wait to see your regular vet in two days’ I’ve gotten from the other places. I was so emotional and drained and dreading the wait for her procedure, but the rooms are equipped with futons! They even have pillows and blankets! I was able to relax and just focus on keeping my cat comfortable. This is a place that understands how exhausting the stress can be and how many people will spend the night unwilling to leave their pets. Their facilities are clean and everything is thought of; I was too upset to eat but I did see they had a variety of snacks and amenities. I’m so glad I made the call and gave VEG a chance. My cat was back to herself and string-free when I got her home. The cost is high but that is simply the nature of an emergency vet and was expected. Luckily we have pet insurance to cover some and they take CareCredit. Really glad VEG is in the area now.

Very satisfied with my cat emergency visit yesterday. My cat was panting and since he is of Persian breed, it was taken very seriously which eased my anxiety. My boy’s vitals were taken immediately and he was put into oxygen right away. I could see my cat in the oxygen tank the whole time and he was already looking so much better just after a few minutes. The vet techs, doctor, and receptionists were so helpful in the whole process. We were constantly getting updates on my baby boy and everything was explained thoroughly. We were always attended to which is huge because so many pet ERs would put you in a room with your pet and you could be forgotten about for hours. This was not the case at VEG! So grateful for this location, the staff, and all their kind and compassionate care. Thank you VEG and Dr. Mir and all the staff working on Sunday morning! Blessings upon blessings to all of you!

Last night, my partner and I stumbled across a recently killed opossum mother. We rescued ten babies from her pouch and called around to 24/7 animal ERs in the area; VEG was the only one willing to take the opossum babies in. We drove an hour over from Greensboro and the babies received immediate emergency care from many techs. They were examined and transferred to an incubator (and, of course, snuggled along the way)! Every single person present treated us with so much kindness and empathy, and we felt completely assured that these babies would be well taken care while they're waiting to be transferred to a rehab center. The outstanding care provided to the babies and the understanding extended to us turned a long trip and a stressful night into a beautiful experience—in fact, I've never had such a positive experience at a vet's office before. They invited us to take a look at their office, which has a really welcoming open-concept design. I really highly recommend VEG ER for emergency care—thank you guys again for taking in the opossum babies, especially on the Fourth of July!

Our dog needed care for an infected, newly discovered wound late Saturday night. We were greeted by kind staff who directed us to an open bay with a comfortable place for me to sit and a dog bed for my pet. I wasn’t used to the open vet setting where we could hear most conversations with owners there and see most interactions. But it was comforting to know other worried pets & parents were treated so well. I was informed of everything about my dog’s condition and given time to ask questions. An estimate was texted to me. I didn’t have to leave my dog when he was taken to a procedure table in center of the facility and in view of all. He was given adequate sedation during the procedure and sent home with pain meds snd antibiotics. I regret I can’t recall names of the 2 kind, knowledgeable vets working with us. But the awesome staff were Gabbie and Nancy. I have a healing broken bone and Nancy even got my dog in the car for me. Hopefully we never need another emergency vet visit- but if we do, we will definitely come to VET.

We had as good as possible experience with all of the staff at VEG ER H St over our cat’s several day stay with them. They were attentive and caring toward us and our cat even when the clinic was busy and they allowed us to visit at any time. They provided soft bedding in his space and also allowed us to bring clothes and blankets from home to keep him more comfortable. They were able to stabilize him and get him back home to us with instructions for his care and a certificate for his bravery. Very sweet staff!! 🖤

We took our dog Queen to VEG ER and the diagnosis was not what we'd hoped for. We had a tough decision to make based on her condition. Dr. Lanza and team truly made this sad experience a heart felt one. They kept us informed of the details every step of the way. The love, compassion & professionalism that Dr. Lanza and her team showed to us and Queen was unlike anything I've ever seen. I highly recommend VEG ER in Chapel Hill for emergency vet needs.

I had an excellent experience with this veterinary clinic and am so grateful for the outstanding care my dachshund, Mozzie, received. Dr. Beshir was incredibly kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, making sure I understood every step of Mozzie’s care and treatment. His professionalism and genuine concern for my dog gave me great peace of mind. I would also like to thank Sierra and Brittany for being so loving, gentle, and caring with Mozzie. They made both of us feel comfortable and supported throughout the visit. I especially appreciated being able to stay with my dog the entire time, which meant a lot to me. And Kevin also. The entire team was attentive, patient, and transparent, explaining everything clearly from start to finish. The level of care and compassion we received exceeded my expectations. I am extremely satisfied with our experience and highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care.

My very orange cat got his tail caught in the door. Dr Boiskin and the team at VEG did an amazing job caring for him. Pancho may be a little shorter now but he is doing OK. I've been to a few pet ER's and this one is by far the best by far. We really appreciated the staff a lot and can not say enough nice things.

I would like to highly recommend and thank the emergency animal hospital VEG ER in White Plains on Tarrytown Road. My newly adopted cat needed emergency care for a surprise bladder issue on Sunday morning and again on Monday night. The vets, vet techs and staff there were so amazing and our boy got the best care. Please visit them if your pet needs emergency care. I was blown away by their thorough care and extremely good bed side manners and kindness with humans and animals. We brought our sweet 8 year old pup in, on a Sunday evening, after she was having some stomach pain and bloating. Even though they were quite busy, they were very prompt to take a look at her and just make sure her vitals were stable. Within the first 20 minutes there, they got her in for an X-Ray and determined her stomach had flipped. The whole staff did amazing stabilizing her and getting her prepped for emergency surgery all while staying calm and organized. Throughout the surgery the surgeon and staff would give me a thumbs up through the window letting me know she was doing great. They kept us posted throughout the night and Into the morning. They were all amazing at answering all of our questions and going over her after care instructions. I highly recommend this clinic! It was very clean, comfortable, welcoming, and the staff were just outstanding!!! They were very comforting during the entire scary situation.

My pet cat was quite ill. We were seen quickly and all the staff members were wonderful. They seemed to be working together well. We were seen quickly, my cat was assessed and treated quickly and appropriately. We were able to go home in a couple hours with a diagnosis and treatment that worked well. My cat was less than impressed with the temperature taking and suprapubic urine draw. My husband and I, human health care providers, were very pleased with the care. I let him sit on the deck with supervision the next day. We were surprised by the open concept treatment area. We saw so many sweet animals and we were praying for all of them. If we ever need ER vet care again, we are driving straight to VEG.

I was SO thankful for the care provided to my baby here! I was out of town and family took my doggy in. I was so worried as he has Addisons Disease. The vet Nicole Huette, called me and went over results, my concerns, care I wanted, what she saw fit etc and made me feel so much better! Staff was kind from the first call and the entire experience!

My sweet boy of 13 years was declining quickly from his health problems. At 10:30 on a Sunday night it was time to rush him to the VEG facility. Even though I had seven months with him after his diagnosis is was still very difficult to come to terms with. All of the staff at VEG were compassionate and amazing people. The room they put us in was very comfortable for us. I told them I forgot to bring a chocolate bar I wanted to feed him before he is gone. They said we got you covered. They brought him a bowl with whipped cream, chocolate ding dongs, and a few Hershey kisses. They left us alone in the room as long as I needed before and after. As difficult as this was to do to my buddy they made us as comfortable as I think we could have been. Thank you to everyone that helped us.

We had a health scare with our dog Scout at around 1am and needed emergency after hours vet care. VEG ER was a godsend. Open 24/7 and gave excellent care. Thet let us stay with her the whole time they got her triaged and stable. Place is pricey, sure, but emergency vet med typically is, especially since Scout ended up having to stay overnight for fluids and observation. They have overnight rooms available if you want to sleep at the hospital with your pet, too. We did a lot of waiting, as one typically does in any emergency room I think, but Scout is home now and doing great. The staff are all amazingly kind and wonderfully patient. Interacting with them helped this scary experience feel less lonely and frightening. I feel like Scout received excellent care and that I always understood what was going on.

Dr. Emily Rue and her team of techs are truly extraordinary. Having been to other emergency hospitals in the past, I have yet to come across such a caring and dedicated team as VEG. They showed extraordinary care for both my girl Millie and myself. They went out of their way to help us and I cannot recommend their services more. The experience itself was great - being able to be by my girl’s side throughout her treatment meant the world to us. They even had a sofa bed that we were able to sleep on together while we awaited her results. All in all, I cannot recommend the team and the facility itself more. I will not go anywhere else for emergency care in the future.

Mel, Elly, and Marianne were world-class. Such an incredible, caring, and personable team. This is hands down the best vet service I’ve ever experienced. Everyone was completely locked in and genuinely cared about my cat. You can tell this isn’t just a job to them. They were super responsive, compassionate, and always one step ahead. I truly appreciate their care and heart. By the end, they felt like they were my cousins lol. If every vet operated like this, the world would be a better place.

This place was unbelievable! I came with my guinea pig, and they took me right away into my own room. They checked in on me constantly, even though I had to wait for the other animals that were there before me. They even came in and offered me a cookie ha ha. It was actually for me. I highly recommend coming here. I came all the way from Napa and would do it again in a second.
