We brought our puppy Pearl in as an emergency after she suffered a leg injury, and the entire team at VEG ER for Pets in Winter Park was amazing. From the moment we walked in, the staff was loving, attentive, and made sure she was comfortable the whole time she was there. They clearly care deeply about the animals they treat, not just the medical side of things but her comfort and emotional state too. We were understandably distressed bringing her in, and the staff made a scary situation so much easier to get through. We are incredibly thankful for everyone there who took care of our little girl. Highly recommend this team to anyone who needs emergency care for their pet.

My dog is anxious, struggles to meet new people and go to new places. She only likes to walk in areas she knows, and although she loves to play she is reactive on leash to other dogs. Obviously, coming into the emergency room was very nerve-wracking. My dog felt so safe at VEG - after our 10 hour visit, when we went outside to wait for our car home - she tried to go back inside the building. Have you ever heard of a dog trying to go back inside the vet’s office? In the middle of a chaotic night - every single person at VEG made me and my dog feel seen, cared for, and safe. They kept me updated all night even as they were helping other people’s pets. Every person still found time to meet my dog on her terms and approach slowly so that she felt 100% comfortable being examined. This is a dog that usually does not let people touch her - and every single nurse and doctor in the office was giving her pets by the end of the visit. I wish I got the names of everyone who helped me last night, but I want to say thank you especially to Isabella, Kat, and Dr. Rushing who were incredible all night long. Going to the vet is scary in part because I worry that I won’t know what’s happening and my dog is going to be taken away from me. My dog was able to wait sleeping in my lap, so she was calm and comfortable during the entire wait. Everyone included me in the conversations and discussions about her care, answered my questions with details, and was just overall kind. Although my dog was not staying overnight at VEG, we were there waiting for quite some time as we happened to be there on a very busy night. I got to see the vet team do several rounds of check ins on their overnight surgical and boarding pets - not just taking vitals and doing a check in with the entire vet team for each animal, but also cuddling each one. Everyone at VEG goes above and beyond to help take care of your pet, and you. Sometimes there is a wait because it is an emergency room, but I NEVER felt forgotten or pushed aside! Because of their open set up, the team was able to quickly update me on what was happening and I was able to understand why there was a delay, rather than just being left in the dark for hours with no idea what was happening. Also, the vet team was able to check in on her still and I was not worried that her condition was deteriorating during the wait. I felt confident that her condition was stable and she was safe. I was able to pick my dog up and put her on the table myself (which was my preference) and be right there next to her when she opened her eyes after the procedure. I noticed her eyes were a little watery afterwards and asked if this was normal, and one of her doctors told me that they put eye drops in for her so her eyes didn’t get dry because they stay open during the procedure. I’ve heard of this for dogs in surgery, but the fact that that after a crazy holiday chaotic shift, they still paid attention to that small detail to make sure my dogs eyes didn’t get uncomfortable during her 30 minute procedure, that says it all for me. It is also worth mentioning that when they gave me the estimate to authorize, there was a $200 item for “additional miscellaneous.” I asked about the fee and they explained it was to cover anything unexpected that might have to be done during the procedure, but that I would be refunded at the end if it was not necessary. I didn’t even have to ask or remind anyone about this at the end of our visit - part of our discharge information was the team informing that there were no additional charges and the refund had already been processed. WOW! I could go on with many more examples, but I will end by saying thank you VEG.❤️ Next time I will get more names for everyone who helped me so I can properly say thank you. I brought my puppy in last month for vomiting blood and diarrhea. After imaging it showed he ate a diaper and needed to have surgery. I was at a lost I could afford to pay for my little puppers surgery and I tried everything to come up with the money and it wasn’t enough. The hospital helped me with the cost to save my pups life. After surgery I called them several times with in those first few days and each time they were patient with me and empathized with me. They treated my baby as their own. I am go grateful for them.

Dr. Emily Rue and her team of techs are truly extraordinary. Having been to other emergency hospitals in the past, I have yet to come across such a caring and dedicated team as VEG. They showed extraordinary care for both my girl Millie and myself. They went out of their way to help us and I cannot recommend their services more. The experience itself was great - being able to be by my girl’s side throughout her treatment meant the world to us. They even had a sofa bed that we were able to sleep on together while we awaited her results. All in all, I cannot recommend the team and the facility itself more. I will not go anywhere else for emergency care in the future.

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. We'd had our sweet 19 year old boy's euthanasia scheduled at our home, but he decided he didn't want to wait a couple more days for his appointment. We rushed him here at around 3am after he had a seizure, which he had fortunately come out of before we even left the house to get him there, but we knew it was time and didn't want him to suffer. I was completely devastated, as the last thing I had wanted was for my baby to pass away in a bright clinic on a metal table, but much to my surprise, they have a lovely little room for euthanasias. It was very tranquil, and didn't look or feel at all like an exam room. It felt like a comfortable room in a home, and we got to sit on the couch and hold him before, during, and after the euthanasia, which made the whole ordeal so much better. All of the staff were very kind and patient with us, but Dr. Nicole Marter truly went above and beyond. We had been told that she was with another patient, so we were prepared to wait for some time, but she came in so quick. She sat with us and walked us through the procedure, and let us tell her a bit about our boy before we put him down. She was so sweet and compassionate, and I think she was the absolute perfect vet for us during his final moments. She took one of the most horrific and traumatic moments of my life, and turned it into a beautifully bittersweet memory. I really can't thank her enough for how good she was to my little old man, and how peaceful she made the whole process for all of us 💙

We brought our dog, Buddy, to VEG twice last week, and I can’t say enough about the care we received. Our first visit was when Buddy wasn’t feeling well last Monday. We were able to bring him in right away and we got seen quickly. They took great care of him before he was transferred to Tufts, where he spent the week undergoing testing. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with cancer. We brought him home hoping to spoil him and make him as comfortable as possible, but it quickly became clear that it was his time. We made the difficult decision to bring him back to VEG to say goodbye. Even though the hospital was incredibly busy that evening, they welcomed us back without hesitation. Every single person we encountered was kind, compassionate, and treated Buddy with love. Even tho the practice is an “open room” concept, they had a private room for euthanasia, which we appreciated. One of the vet techs even searched the break room for every snack she could find, hoping Buddy might enjoy one last special treat. It was such a small gesture, but it meant the world to us. Saying goodbye is one of the hardest things you’ll ever do, but VEG made it as peaceful and comforting as it could possibly be. We will always be grateful for the kindness they showed us.

We are incredibly thankful for the VEG ER team and the amazing care they gave our Dr. Squiggles! We took Dr. Squiggles in when we noticed he hadn’t been peeing, and we were extra stressed because he’s known for being very feisty at the vet. Squiggles did not hold back from showing the care team his intense spiciness, and yet the doctors handled him with understanding and care. They identified a urinary block and clearly laid out a treatment / care plan for us. We’re sorry he gave the team a tough time (enough to break the ranking scale and warrant a new “Pepper X” designation), but he’s home now and is being a sweet bell pepper boy! We really appreciate VEG ER, and want to especially thank our care team: Dr. Wallach, Carla, Moira, Liz, and Maryan.

I cannot recommend VEG enough. Last night, we were transferred to VEG from another emergency vet due to our dog Kona requiring emergency surgery for a horrific case of closed pyometra. (Side note— PLEASE don’t be like me… you NEED to spay your dogs!!!) We were greeted by Kyla in the front immediately, and she was fantastic. She was so sweet, helpful, and friendly and helped us feel so comfortable and at home. We immediately got comfortable, got Kona comfortable, and were helped right away by Dr. Swan and Marissa. I highly recommend Dr. Swan. She was quick, accurate, honest, and so helpful. She explained to us the risks and rewards of surgery and brought us an estimate. Marissa was so sweet and sat on the floor with Kona and got her blood done painlessly and was so kind and helpful. Dr. Swan checked all of her levels to make sure she was stable for surgery and they immediately treated her with fluids and medication to prep her for her surgery. The whole team worked together to prep her for surgery and we got to stay with her the whole time. Her surgery was quick and Dr. Swan and Dr. Jason were very quick to let us know she was out safely, let us know details of the surgery, and let us know we could be there for her while she woke up. Dr. Swan even stayed late so that she could help our Kona. We stayed with her until she woke up and she received amazing care from the team (Josey, Marissa, and multiple others whose names I cannot remember). At that point we went home for the night. Dr. Jason sent us a message in the morning to let us know Kona was doing well and that he was passing her on to the next vet. Mid morning we got the call that she was stable and eating and we were able to come get her much earlier than expected. We were refunded funds that were unused during her stay in a timely manner and we felt that we were treated extremely fairly (of course emergency pet med is expensive, but they were very transparent throughout the process). When we got there, Stephanie helped us understand medications and gave us updates on Kona before taking her home. Kona LOVED Stephanie and even wagged her aussie nub at her, so I know she was well cared for. Thank you so much Dr. Swan— you saved our girl’s life. We are forever grateful for you & how you’ve given our girl many more years with us. Thank you to the whole team working the night of 8/14 and morning of 8/15– you are all incredible and we had an amazing experience and so did our Kona.

My cat ingested floss this morning and it was suggested by my long time vet to go to VEG for immediate help. The VEG team was able to see my cat immediately and begin their treatment plan. Dr. Alexis and the tech team were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and patient in answering all my questions. I highly recommend anyone seeking emergency services for their furbabies to go here.

I was here last night with my pup, Yoshi from midnight til about 4am. They were able to check vitals, do blood work and provide x-rays on site. The entire staff was extremely empathetic and professional. It was impressive to see them handling the animals attentively and how you as the pet parent get to be involved in every step of the process to offer your pet love and support during treatment. The facility is very clean. Special shoutout to Iris and Mario who were especially kind and compassionate to my special boy when he was in pain.

Our pet received the best care here. We couldn’t have asked for better. Everyone was very kind, knowledgeable, and detail oriented. Our visit was very well managed, even our family needs were taken into consideration. Everything went very smoothly and we left very happy knowing that our pet is safe and feeling better. I would definitely recommend this pet emergency room to friends and family.

I wasn’t sure what to expect walking into VEG ER for Pets in Alpharetta, but from the moment we arrived, every single person we encountered treated us with incredible compassion, kindness, and respect. They never made us feel rushed. They answered every question with patience and gave my daughter and me all the time we needed to say goodbye. Even though our pet was tiny, they treated her life as though it mattered just as much as any other animal that came through their doors. We never felt like just another case or another bill. Before we left, they gave us a clipping of her fur and the tiniest paw prints they’ve ever made. Those keepsakes mean more to us than I can put into words and will be something we treasure forever. Losing a pet is heartbreaking, but VEG made an incredibly painful day just a little more bearable. We are grateful for the empathy, dignity, and genuine humanity they showed our family. Thank you for reminding us that the size of a life has nothing to do with the size of the love it leaves behind.

This place ROCKS!!! I brought my cat 5050 in for a foxtail in her eye and they did the deed. Reasonable fees. I’ve been doing TNR ferals for 30-ish years. I have to say this place is the nicest I’ve ever been to. And a week later her follow up showed she is 100% good to good. Rocket crew at VEG. I’m so glad I’m a VEGetarian~ 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We came to VEG pet hospital and it was amazing! Not only did we get seen right away but they were so fast, kind and unbelievably fantastic. This clinic took less than 2 hours to get the exam and X-rays. They made sure the dog was comfortable the whole time and communicated with us about everything. I was very pleased with this place after the nightmare I had to deal with. After 9+ hours and a long night at a terrible pet clinic, who ended up not helping us at all, VEG did everything and more! I would come here for any pet emergencies now. Totally worth the drive.

I've had to take my babies here on multiple occasions and the staff has always been caring, attentive, and supportive of mine and my babies needs. The team communicates well and always had proper patient care, with the best treatments in mind. I would like to highly recommend and thank the emergency animal hospital VEG ER in White Plains on Tarrytown Road. My newly adopted cat needed emergency care for a surprise bladder issue on Sunday morning and again on Monday night. The vets, vet techs and staff there were so amazing and our boy got the best care. Please visit them if your pet needs emergency care. I was blown away by their thorough care and extremely good bed side manners and kindness with humans and animals. Our sweet Stella had to go to VEG ER Frisco on June 6th around 4am. She had given birth to (6) pups at home, but the (7) pup had not been birth after (3) hours. During the process of her giving birth, I called their office to ask a few question (first timer here) and Dr. Koons was very informative through what to expect. After making the right call, the (7) baby could not make it into this world at home and we headed to see Dr. Koons in person. She had the room all ready for us when we arrived. When I say her and all other staff went above and beyond for us is an understatement. Dr. Koons is a genuine soul that puts care and detail into all she does. We knew Stella was at least pregnant with 10 pups. After the 10th was born at the ER (past Dr. Koons shift), she went back for an x-ray, surprise, we had two more!! Y’all!! Twelve puppies!! Thank you, Kaitlyn, Arianna, Abby, Beth, Dr. Koons and Dr. Nelson for the outstanding service and care of our family/pups. Everything was performed right in front of us and that was important not to be shut in a room while our Stella was behind closed doors in another room. Since birth, I have called back serval times when our regular vets office was closed. Outstanding service each time. My heart cannot express our gratitude enough!! I recently moved to Texas and when my dog, Lucy was experiencing difficulty breathing, I had to find an emergency vet quickly. VEG ER had excellent reviews and is close to home so I chose them. I couldn't be happier with my choice. As soon as I walked in, someone greeted us and when they saw she was having trouble breathing, they immediately took action. The entire staff and Dr. Koons were wonderful. They made sure both of us were comfortable and kept me informed about her treatment. Being able to stay with Lucy the entire time made her calmer in a strange environment. I have been to many emergency vets with my dogs over the years but this one is, by far, the best I've ever been to. There were a few other families with sick pets there and each one was treated with care and respect. If you have an emergency with your pet, you could not find a better hospital than VEG ER.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot say enough amazing things about VEG Allen and the entire team, especially Dr. Brown and the Monday night shift team (7/20). Our local urgent care veterinarian referred us to VEG after my dog, Koe, swallowed a corn cob. They had already attempted to induce vomiting without success, so after an almost hour-long drive, we arrived a little after 10:00 PM. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with smiles and immediately brought back. The hospital itself is unlike any emergency vet I’ve ever seen. Being able to stay with your pet throughout the process or see them at all times even if they required a procedure made an incredibly stressful situation so much more comforting. The team first tried a stronger medication to induce vomiting, but unfortunately the corn cob still didn’t come up. Dr. Brown sat down with me and thoroughly explained our options: endoscopy or surgery. She answered every question I had, never made me feel rushed, and had such a calm, reassuring presence that immediately put me at ease during one of the most stressful nights I’ve had as a pet owner. After talking with my husband, we chose to move forward with an endoscopy since it was less invasive, more cost-effective, and offered a quicker recovery. By the time bloodwork was complete, it was after midnight, and now my birthday. Spending my birthday at an emergency animal hospital definitely wasn’t how I imagined celebrating. Unfortunately, the endoscopy was unsuccessful because of where the corn cob was lodged. Once again, Dr. Brown patiently walked me through our options. She even told us we could have our regular veterinarian perform the surgery the next day if cost was a concern. After another conversation with my husband, we decided to move forward with surgery at VEG because, despite only knowing Dr. Brown for about three hours, I trusted her completely. I was able to watch through the OR window as Dr. Brown successfully removed the corn cob. During surgery, I mentioned to one of the nurses that it was my birthday. When Dr. Brown came out after surgery to tell me everything had gone well, she wished me a happy birthday and said she was sorry this was how I was spending it. That simple kindness meant so much. I stayed until Koe woke up from anesthesia before heading home around 4:00 AM. Before I left, Dr. Brown told me she would personally call with an update between 7:00 and 8:00 AM. At exactly 8:00 AM, my phone rang. She let me know Koe was doing great, explained the plan for the day, and said that if he continued eating well, he could come home that evening. When we returned that night to pick him up after my birthday dinner, I walked over to Koe’s kennel and immediately burst into tears. The staff had decorated his kennel with a Happy Birthday banner, put a birthday headband on Koe, bought cupcakes, a little plant, and a birthday card for me. After such an emotional, exhausting 24 hours running on almost no sleep, that thoughtful gesture was beyond anything I could have ever expected and meant more to me than words can express. The medical care we received was exceptional, but what truly sets VEG apart is the compassion, empathy, and humanity of every single person we encountered. They treated Koe like he was their own, and they treated me with so much kindness during an extremely stressful time. Dr. Brown and the entire Monday night team, you are all absolutely incredible. Thank you for saving my sweet boy and for turning what could have been one of the worst birthdays into one I’ll never forget for all the right reasons. To the VEG leadership team: if you read these reviews, please know that Dr. Brown and the Monday night staff deserve every bit of recognition. They are an incredible group of professionals who exemplify what emergency veterinary medicine should be. I sincerely hope we never have another emergency, but if we do, I will gladly drive an hour back to VEG Allen without hesitation. I will also recommend VEG to every pet owner I know. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We had as good as possible experience with all of the staff at VEG ER H St over our cat’s several day stay with them. They were attentive and caring toward us and our cat even when the clinic was busy and they allowed us to visit at any time. They provided soft bedding in his space and also allowed us to bring clothes and blankets from home to keep him more comfortable. They were able to stabilize him and get him back home to us with instructions for his care and a certificate for his bravery. Very sweet staff!! 🖤
