Thank you for taking care of my pet rooster Hoppy and for the kind letter after his passing. I was told by my Aunt that you all were so hospitable and caring through the entire process. Warmly, Heather Bozzie

Does anyone want to go to an ER at 1a.m. worried about their fur baby? Definitely not I. But will I recommend VEG ER after my first experience with them? Absolutely all day. From calling for advice before coming in to being seen and receiving post visit care instructions. This was the most caring and compassionate team and I am so very grateful for them. Thank you so very much Nurse Courtney and Dr. Garlinghouse for taking care of my baby tonight. I really appreciate the attentive and thorough care.

Our baby we found out has anaphylaxis after we rushed her in for care. They assured me it wasn't my fault and based on all of the tests and imaging it was more than likely a severe reaction to a likely bug bite or sting. We spent about six hours there and I felt involved and comfortable the whole time. Everyone on the team was reassuring and welcomed questions which helps me rationalize what's going on. They followed up with me on some questions I had on medications. Extra thank you for the magic turkey and gravy baby food that made her feel so much better. Luckily she was seen right away and there had to be at least four people attending to her at first. When we were out of the woods and had to be monitored I got to stay with her in a quiet room between check ins. Then she got to thankfully come home with us and is much much better today. Although I left with anxiety about future anaphylactic shock events I feel thankful to be so close.

This was the first time I was able to actively participate in the care of Louie. I was so thankful to be able to be there for my Louie to reassure him he was OK from start to finish. The ER was pretty busy when we arrived at the ER, but the entire staff made sure we were comfortable while we waited (there were more critical patients they needed to attend to). They had beverages, snacks, and even pizza for us while we waited. Everything was explained throughout our visit and the entire staff was so attentive, keeping us updated thru the entire process. Thank you the entire staff. This is a first class operation with staff that truly cares about every patient, and puts the safety of every patient their top priority. Thanks to VEG, Louie is on the mend!

I want to thank everyone I came in contact with at VEG Larkspur for their kindness! I felt very well taken care of and supported, and I appreciated that Riley's care was nurturing, comforting and thorough. The intake process with James was outstanding. He helped me settle down, with a private room which was so helpful, and he even shared some chocolate from his private stash :-) The doctor and every single one of the vet techs who helped Riley were wonderful, so caring and compassionate! The written report I received from Larkspur VEG via email a few days later was very helpful and included every detail of our visit including lab results. Their follow-up messages were so thoughtful, much appreciated, and they also forwarded a copy to Riley's regular vet. I'm so glad that Marin County now has this wonderful vet ER group, and I highly recommend them! Riley wants everyone to know that he is feeling much better now. =^..^=

It was a great experience overall. The care was expedient and thorough, and the comfort of my cat was second in importance only to his health. The techs and vet were all very sweet to him and did their best to put him at ease. One treatment was given while he sat with me on the couch because he was more comfortable there than the exam table. In fact, everyone was wonderful, from the woman who checked us in, to the vet who examined him, to the techs who provided treatment. I highly recommend VEG in Fresh Pond.

I brought my senior cat Sylvester in for a vet visit. He's 20yrs old, and I felt the quality of his life was declining. They explained to me what I was feeling was real, and they were happy I brought him in. Even though he was my friend, he was suffering. They advised that it was best to think of his quality of life. I put him down that day, it was the hardest thing I have ever done, I just couldn't fathom having him suffer any longer. The staff here was very patient, sat with me, hugged me, and were super empathic. They explained everything and I felt they really saw how much he meant to me. I have never been to a vet that took that kinda time and patience with me, they were honest, and made me feel he was safe. I left there upset over my best friend, but also happy on how well we were taken care of. I cant imagine what these folks go through on a day to day. I take my hat off to you for such an amazing experience. I will absolutely refer anyone looking for a vet to come here. These are professionals that are real people that actually care about you and your best friend. I cant even explain how much I truly apricated all these folks did for me. I came back a week later on the 1 week mark of his passing, and brought them donuts and flowers, thanking them for there kind words and compassion. These folks have a real special place in my heart.

Amazing experience with the most funny and caring crew yesterday for our emergency visit. They put me to work (for a good cause haha). We dealt with Dr. Chung (doctor) , Hunter (nurse), and Heather (assistant) [CEC: Orsa]. The staff here is professional, constantly reassuring us with the best provided care, snacks & hydration, and good laughs! This is the place to go to if you want the BEST care for your animals (:

I'd definitely recommend them. My husky does do well at vets, so they allow you to stay with your fur baby the entire time, they have an open layout where staff comes to you so you aren’t stuck in a room. They were extremely gentle with him and me… and I know we both felt more relaxed!! You can tell they love their job and are dedicated to taking care of your pet.

I had a really good experience here with my cat, Beau. As a college student on a budget, I really appreciated how understanding they were and how they helped get him the treatment he needed at a price I could afford. They were kind, patient, and never made me feel judged, even when I was second-guessing myself and worried about Beau. They were very gentle with him, and multiple staff members came in throughout the visit just to check on him and love on him. You could tell he already felt better just from all the love and attention he was getting. I’m so thankful for the care they gave Beau and how supported they made me feel during a stressful time. A special thank you to the nurse with the blonde curly hair and the male doctor, they were both wonderful.

We took our dog penny here late into the night due to her leg pain. We ended up finding out she likely has a torn ligament and will need surgery. Our dog hates the vet so much and was not at all cooperative to getting shots to sedate her for the X-rays. The team at VEG was so understanding and accommodating despite her freaking out. She was a tough cookie to deal with, but Dr. Bogart and her team handled her with ease. Our poor dog was scared to death but they were so sweet and kind to her, helped settle her down and ultimately we were able to get the X-rays we needed. I wish we could go to them for the surgery she needs, but we will definitely be back for any emergency needs. I cannot recommend them more highly! Do not hesitate to bring your pet here, the team is lovely ❤️

This isn’t our first visit to VEG, and I’m sure it won’t be our last—pet emergencies have a way of striking when you least expect them. It’s an enormous comfort knowing their team of wonderful, strong (mostly) women 💪 are there whenever we need them. I’m especially grateful they allowed me to stay by my pet’s side throughout treatment and included me in her care. No one knows a pet better than their owner, and that partnership made all the difference in her comfort and recovery. The staff answered every question with patience and kindness throughout our stay. Carla, our nurse, was gentle and attentive with our girl in a way that meant more than words can express. Dr. Croel was thorough, direct, and honest with us every step of the way. The facility itself is spotless, and the staff clearly prioritize patient care in everything they do. As much as we hope to never need an emergency vet, we’re deeply grateful VEG is there when we do. Maya and her family thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Everyone here is sooo kind and helpful and they made us feel more at ease about our sick kitten! We were helped immediately upon arrival and put into a comfy room. Dr. Hahn and all of the technicians were so friendly and knowledgeable and we loved being able to be with our kitten during most of the treatment. They communicated with us in detail throughout the process. Thank you guys for helping him! He is doing so much better after just one night!

My boyfriend and I adopted a puppy from a shelter on Monday 3/23. The next day, we noticed her spay incision was opened and appeared infected. We brought her to VEG because it was the closest animal ER that was open. We were asked immediately after entering what the problem was and got into a room right after. We did not have to wait for anyone to come in and Suki was evaluated right then and there. Everyone was so sweet and genuine and we could tell that they were taking us seriously. Suki got an ultrasound to check that her internal stitches were still intact and then we were given a mild sedative (gabapentin), pain medication, and antibiotic for her. We were expecting to pay a minimum of $1000 but the whole visit was a little over $300. We went to an ER for our cat a while ago that also only needed an ultrasound and it costed $1,300 not including the initial visit fee so we were pleasantly surprised by VEG’s pricing to say the least. Dr. Ella Macquisten was so great and understanding and also made sure that we were involved with everything and didn’t make any decisions without asking first. We were in and out within an hour and Suki is doing great. Could not recommend this ER enough.

This operation is a class act. I've used them twice now, and each time the responsiveness and professionalism were top notch. Even at 4 am, a kind, funny and intelligent team of doctor and nurses attended to my sick and scared dog with confidence and efficiency. The facilities are ultraclean and comfortable. And the prices are fair. There's no question in my mind that I'll continue to use their services in the unfortunate case of another emergency.

A beautiful team, with beautiful hearts. We found a precious kitten in a shop doorway in Gallatin after the 4th of July parade. X-rays were taken, and the poor girl had too much damage to her bones for her to be saved. They made her last few moments as comfortable as possible. Thank you so much for your kindness.

My two doggies got into some human medication and we needed to have them looked at asap. After speaking with ASPCA poison control, we took them over to VEG on Ralph Avenue. We were greeted by friendly staff when we came in . This was very consoling for me. After weigh in they took us into a room . I gave all the pertinent information I'd written down with the poison control number. This helped with check in process. We were there for a few hours. Dr Anderson went over a couple of options and she gave honest opinion of which course of action to take. We went with that route. It's the next day and my two doggies are 100% their normal self and getting into things.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Nancy, she made us feel comfortable and made the situation so much easier. She is a very sweet person. I also want to mention the environment is very clean! Pricing is very reasonable. My cat is good now :)

The most welcoming and compassionate pet hospital we’ve ever visited. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and our little girl, Vivi, was immediately triaged. Two vet technicians and a veterinarian examined her right away, carefully gathered her history, and made sure she received pain medication as quickly as possible. Hannah, the technician manager, was absolutely wonderful. During the chaos of the traumatic incident, Vivi had a potty accident, and tech Hannah gently cleaned her up with such kindness and dignity. The compassion we witnessed throughout our whole visit felt so genuine and heartfelt. We were also given a soft towel to wrap Vivi in while we waited, a small gesture that meant so much during such a stressful time. Kim at the front desk, along with another lovely receptionist, offered us drinks and snacks and chatted with us as though we were neighbors and friends. The entire atmosphere was very warm, and welcoming. One thing we especially loved was the transparency of the hospital. We could see the team working, and it was obvious that everyone was incredibly busy, and completely focused on providing exceptional care. When it was time for Vivi’s procedure, we were able to stand beside her and watch the veterinarians work, which brought us tremendous peace of mind for a helicopter mom such as myself. Throughout our visit we met several members of the team as shifts changed, including Dr. Cohen, Dr. Lauren, and technician Christopher. I only wish I could remember everyone’s names because every single person treated both Vivi and us with extraordinary compassion, professionalism, and respect. I cannot recommend this hospital highly enough!

Thank you V.E.G. You were all so compassionate, kind, professional and acted with a sense of urgency when we brought in our 10 year old Great Dane mix for a “compassion visit.” At a time when we were initially uncertain about our decision to move forward with euthanasia, you assured we had made the only choice. There was no time wasted on gaining our Onyx’s weight when we came in the door or questioning the state of Onyx’s health. Upon arrival, we were met in the foyer by staff that knew we were on our way in to be seen for the compassion visit. There was no wasted time with questioning the health of our beloved dog as it was apparent he was in distress. We cannot thank you enough for helping Onyx transition peacefully in a calm setting. Onyx is now in heaven and we will see him again 🌈

I was totally upset and worked up when I called VEG ER, but the gentleman on the phone was incredibly kind and calm. When I walked in, I was impressed by how clean and organized the building was. The open concept floor was not what I was expecting but it was really awesome being with my dog every step of the way. The gentleman that helped us offered a bed for my dog to lay on, which was good because we waited like 5 hours. They offer snacks, drinks, as well as blankets for humans because it gets quite cold in there. Everyone there was kind and friendly. You could really tell they were dedicated to their job and providing the best experience for their patients. My princess loved being able to watch everyone walk around her and was completely content. The doctor even sat with her when we were finally seen so she wouldn’t have to be moved. :) All the staff talked to her like a baby whenever they addressed her which made me happy too. Really shows they love animals. Paid about $660 to find out she didn’t have a lot of poop in her, but the peace of mind was worth it. Getting to see how they take x-rays was cool too, even if my poor baby had to be manhandled hehe. The bill was much cheaper than I expected, which was nice. It was for the initial exam and the x-rays. Would highly recommend coming here for a transparent, wonderful experience! ❤️

We took our little pitty dog to the ER because she had a laceration right above her eye. We very much appreciated how kind and professional every single vet tech was with us. We loved the open floor plan of the clinic. We loved being able to be part of the process. Vet techs were very competent. We very much appreciated learning that our veterinarian had been trained at one of the best programs in the country. Her suture skills were really good (excellent). Better than we had experience many times in the past with our other dogs. Anesthesia protocol was very good.

I brought my dog in with concerns after a potential blockage. We were greeted and seen immediately. We were offered coffee, water, and snacks. We were offered to stay with our dog in the back and even during ultrasounds AND his all day hospitalization. Due to his anxiety we knew it would be best if we kept our distance as he worries more about me if I’m nearby, and the team was very understanding and very caring of him. Even after a few hours of leaving him the team sent me photos just so I could see how he was doing. I didn’t even ask, they offered! Before leaving him they asked if he liked watching anything on TV and I told them he liked lofi music and they said they would leave an iPad with him. I thought they were kidding but when I saw the photos I was shocked! He looked so comfortable while he was there. Picking him was easy, and checking out was easy. I feel really lucky that he improved and we didn’t have too much to worry about, especially seeing other families there dealing with more tragedy. The team there are heroes and I assume see a lot of trauma and to still be so kind and supportive shows how strong the staff is. While I hope to never have to go back to the ER, if I find myself in a situation in which I do I will abstain be coming back here.

VEG ER made a really scary experience so much more comfortable for us and our Frenchie. Deno started aspirating after throwing up a lot during a pancreatitis flare. When we heard he needed to be monitored overnight, we were freaking out thinking we’d have to leave him somewhere and worrying we wouldn’t get updates. Being able to get a room and stay the night with him was peace of mind for us and made him more. Comfortable. The vets were great. Later in the day we even brought our other dog because we didn’t want to leave one while running home to care for the other. Our boy is almost back to normal now and we can’t thank them enough! So accommodating

I cannot say enough good things about VEG ER for Pets. I brought my dog here after a rough 36 hours of severe vomiting and diarrhea, and we were seen within an hour. The entire staff was incredibly kind and empathetic. What stood out the most was how accommodating they were—they actually encouraged me to stay right with her and treated her right in the waiting area because that’s where she felt the most comfortable, even though they had treatment rooms available. As someone who works in marketing, the only tiny critique I could give is that a follow-up call the next day would have been a great touch since it’s so standard now—but honestly, that doesn't change the 5-star experience. The only thing that truly matters is that they took amazing care of my girl and fixed her up. Thank you, VEG team!

We came to VEG pet hospital and it was amazing! Not only did we get seen right away but they were so fast, kind and unbelievably fantastic. This clinic took less than 2 hours to get the exam and X-rays. They made sure the dog was comfortable the whole time and communicated with us about everything. I was very pleased with this place after the nightmare I had to deal with. After 9+ hours and a long night at a terrible pet clinic, who ended up not helping us at all, VEG did everything and more! I would come here for any pet emergencies now. Totally worth the drive.

I highly recommend the staff at this VEG EG after the care they provided my dog, Brady, following an injury he suffered. What started off as a straightforward need for stitches quickly became more serious when Brady experienced several episodes of ventricular tachycardia (vtach) related to a reaction to medications and potentially an underlying heart problem. It was incredibly scary, but the staff responded quickly and professionally, communicated clearly, and did everything they could to keep both Brady and me comfortable throughout the experience. The staff I worked with demonstrated compassion and integrity. I also really appreciated the thoughtful accommodations for pet owners. From comfortable spaces to stay with your pet, to snacks, drinks, and other small touches, it was clear to me that VEG understood emergencies are hard on people, too. Those kinds of details honestly made a meaningful difference during a really stressful evening. When I left Brady overnight for monitoring, I felt a bit nervous (as any owner likely would) but I mostly felt grateful that he was alive and in good hands. The next morning, I received a timely update (as promised), clear discharge instructions, and Brady has since made an excellent recovery! See pictures of him right after surgery vs. today. I cannot recommend VEG ER more if your pet needs urgent care. I know I sound like an ad, but the environment and level of care they provided to both my dog and me from start to finish was truly set apart from any other vet I've used. And I've had some wonderful vets over the years, so I don't say that lightly. :)

My experience at VEG ER was one in a million! Everything and everyone was absolutely amazing. The care My baby received was beyond any expectations I had. The open concept is amazing. It also helps to see how they care for other patients. It helps you relax and reassures you that your pet will receive the same treatment. I believe Chloe recovered faster because I was able to stay with her. She was admitted for 2 days. I will recommend this emergency vet hospital to everyone who asks me. As far as pricing, im not sure what the going rate is for this kind of service but I don't regret having to pay it. I was able to use care credit to pay it.

Thank you to the staff who helped my family and I through one of the hardest decision we had to make. They took the time out to weigh out our options, answer any questions we had. But most of all the care and compassion we received through this painful time. He is now no longer suffering in the arms of my mother who passed in January. Yuki truly was my angel baby. I was blessed to have him, even if for a short time. Thank you so much for doing everything you possibly could. For supporting my family and loving these beautiful fur babies as if they were your own. God bless! Our dog needed care for an infected, newly discovered wound late Saturday night. We were greeted by kind staff who directed us to an open bay with a comfortable place for me to sit and a dog bed for my pet. I wasn’t used to the open vet setting where we could hear most conversations with owners there and see most interactions. But it was comforting to know other worried pets & parents were treated so well. I was informed of everything about my dog’s condition and given time to ask questions. An estimate was texted to me. I didn’t have to leave my dog when he was taken to a procedure table in center of the facility and in view of all. He was given adequate sedation during the procedure and sent home with pain meds snd antibiotics. I regret I can’t recall names of the 2 kind, knowledgeable vets working with us. But the awesome staff were Gabbie and Nancy. I have a healing broken bone and Nancy even got my dog in the car for me. Hopefully we never need another emergency vet visit- but if we do, we will definitely come to VET.

The staff at VEG saved my dogs life🩷 We brought my senior dog Daisy in because she was not eating, and within half an hour they had identified a large ruptured tumor on her spleen. They got her stable, got us in with a specialist the same evening, and gave us all the information clearly and patiently during a very upsetting time. She’s healing beautifully now and happy to say the mass was BENIGN!! I credit this team 100% for taking things seriously right away, and finding the problem at lightning speed. We are so grateful. So grateful for everyone who works here. As far as emergency vets go it was reasonably priced. My 19 year old baby got in a fight with our younger cat the other week and she had a really bad infected wound. I called around to 3 other emergency vets around midnight that said they weren’t taking new patients. At VEG they told me they don’t do that. They have you sit there with your pet while they treat them. They showed so much love and goodness to my baby and to me. Now she is back to herself and I couldn’t be more grateful to have her. Thank you all!!!

My kitty Zedd was having trouble breathing and we were really worried about him and couldn’t get him in anywhere else so we decided to take him over to VEG to get him some help. The entire experience was absolutely amazing. They got him in as soon as we walked in the door and they got him on Oxygen ASAP and ran through their check up. The vets were incredibly transparent through the entire process and they did not go crazy charging extra money on anything. I really appreciate the extra special care they took and I was right by his side throughout the entire process. I’m so happy we decided to rush him here rather than taking him to the normal vet and potentially having to wait while his breathing got worse. We learned that he has asthma and they went through all the steps with me on how to take care of our baby and make sure he was back to feeling better and breathing easier. Not only could I see the quality care they were giving to my kitty but also all the other animals at the clinic. Highly recommend VEG to anyone else who needs emergency care for their pet and knowing good well that they will do a spectacular job! Thank you so much for making our boy feel more like himself again! :)

I brought my dog, Rue, to VEG and had such a great experience. From the moment we walked in, both doctors on shift immediately greeted us. Dr. Mohan did Rue’s exam and ultrasound right in front of us and explained everything as she went. Dr. Weston came over just to love on Rue and check in on us. The nurses, Laura and Alex, were so gentle with Rue during her blood draw and IV catheter placement. Every single person was so kind. I’m so grateful for the care Rue received and would recommend VEG Fort Myers to anyone who needs emergency care for their pet.

Our experience was 10s all across the board! The whole team was awesome from the check in stage to the discharge stage. They provided such great care to our girl, Roxy, and made us feel comfortable. You are able to be with your babies through the whole process which made it so much better! Thank you! :)
