I had the best experience at VEG with my dog and am so grateful I chose them for her emergency care. Being able to sit with her during waiting, evaluation, and treatment was so helpful for me. The staff was so kind and patient with all my questions. All estimates were provided up front so I wasn’t surprised by any bills. I hope I never have another emergency again, but if I do I will be back.

I would absolutely recommend Veg ER for emergency pet care. I brought my 16 year old Boston x here after he suffered a serious seizure. We unfortunately ended up having to say goodbye to our baby but we were tested with such compassion and care. And they were very transparent with pricing but in such a respectful way. They made a horrible decision just a little bit easier to bear.

I was watching my mom's great danes while they were on vacation. One of was showing signs of bloat and I brought him (Zeke) here. Not only did they save Zeke's life. They took care of me too. I had come all wet in a bathing suit with jean shorts ... they provided a shirt and scrub bottoms for me to change into to be dry and warm. I was offered blankets and bed set up along with some food, drinks and phone charger... Because 8 hours is a long time. They had pads and blankets and pillows for Zeke. And got us comfortable in a cozy area to be treated before and after surgery, which I got to see all things being performed. I can not praise this 24 hour center enough! The promptness, dedication, professionalism, care, and the courtesy they provided was AMAZING!

We spent the last three days at VEG with our beloved 5 year old dog, Jammer, initially suspecting he had HGE… which turned into a much more harrowing experience than we could have fathomed when he didn’t respond well to treatment. We were terrified, emotional, and thought we would have to euthanize him after 36-40 hours (and even planned his necropsy, prepared to say our goodbyes.) Each and every single vet and tech and receptionist we worked with over the past few days was nothing but compassionate, caring, supportive, and willing to discuss each and every option. The fact that this amazing team was even willing to consult criticalists on his behalf multiple times speaks to how much they care… and ultimately was what saved him, along to their top-notch care, their willingness to allow me to assist with treatments, and even permitting me to do his esophageal tube feedings unassisted. He is alive today thanks to the team at VEG. His future is unsure… and we have a long road ahead of us, but we wouldn’t have even had that option if not for this team. He is HOME, which is all I ever wanted through this ordeal, even if it’s not for long. I cannot, and I mean CAN NOT, thank everyone at VEG enough. Jam, my husband, and I are beyond grateful. Thank you for allowing us to stay with our boy throughout the insane holiday weekend, providing us everything we needed, and caring for him like he mattered to you like he matters to us. Dr. Summers, Dr. Huff, Dr. Mac, Dr. Lockhart, Dr. Logan — and most especially Jam’s angel of a tech, Sam — THANK YOU for saving him for us to see couch naps and car rides and joy again.

Took my dog Roo to VEG this morning after she got into the trash, and I honestly had a great experience. The entire staff was wonderful. Leah, the assistant, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and so sweet with Roo. Dr. Schwartz saw us quickly and took great care of both of us. The facility was clean, open, and very welcoming. I really appreciated being able to stay with my pet the entire time. On top of that, the pricing was very reasonable for a 24/7 emergency hospital. Overall, excellent care and an experience that made a stressful morning much easier.

When my golden retriever had an eye emergency, I chose this ER simply based on location and a quick glance at the reviews. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, I was incredibly impressed with the care we received. The entire staff was so gentle and compassionate with my dog, and I was especially impressed by how thorough the exam was. Dr. Kimberlyn W. took the time to clearly explain which tests she recommended and why, and I appreciated being given pricing information before anything was done. At no point did I feel pressured into additional testing or treatment. Ariela and Shannon were also absolutely amazing throughout my dog’s care. Honestly, the best way to describe this place is something one of the assistants said: it’s like “The Avengers” of veterinary medicine. The best of the best all came together to work here. The diagnosis and treatment plan were explained very thoroughly, which I truly valued, and I was sent home with printed information to refer back to as well. During the wait for bloodwork results, someone even came in with a basket of snacks and offered me something to eat or drink…such a thoughtful touch during a stressful situation. I would recommend this place 100%.

During a stressful and unexpected medical emergency with our beloved dog, Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) proved to be an invaluable resource. From the moment we walked through their doors, we were met with compassion and efficiency. Jamie at the front desk was immediately reassuring and helpful. The entire team demonstrated a deep respect for both us and our anxious pet. The medical team, including the knowledgeable Dr. Madison Bober and the attentive nurse Sue, took the time to thoroughly explain the nature of our dog's condition. Dr. Bober clearly outlined the proposed medical procedure, answering all of our questions with patience and expertise, while Nurse Sue provided compassionate support. We also greatly appreciated the assistance of CeC Imani, who was so helpful during the process. And we were thankful for the upfront and transparent pricing, which allowed us to focus on our dog's well-being without the added worry of unexpected costs. Furthermore, the detailed explanation of the aftercare protocol was incredibly helpful. We left feeling well-informed and confident in our ability to provide the necessary support and recovery care at home. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Veterinary Emergency Group highly enough. If your pet ever requires urgent or emergency veterinary care, VEG, with their dedicated team including Dr. Madison Bober, Nurse Sue, CeC Imani, and Jamie, is a place where you can expect not only expert medical attention but also genuine care and clear communication throughout the entire process.

I can’t say enough good things about VEG ER! They are truly wonderful people, from the moment we walked in, they were fast, responsive, and incredibly compassionate. It’s clear how much they genuinely care for all the fur babies they treat, and they took the time to answer every single question we had without hesitation. I brought in my senior chihuahua and during a really stressful time they communicated everything so clearly. They walked me through what needed to be done step by step, which made a huge difference. She ended up being hospitalized, and the level of care she received was wonderful not just for her, but for me and my partner as well. They gave us a private room so we could stay with her the entire time, which meant the world to us. Even after we brought her home, I still had questions, and they never once made me feel like a burden. Every time I called, they were quick to answer and always willing to connect me directly with the doctors so I could get clarity and peace of mind. They are truly angels, and I’m beyond grateful for everything they’ve done for my dog and for us. I couldn’t thank them enough !!!!

We had an excellent experience at VEG ER with our Loki. The team was careful, thorough, and detail-oriented throughout the visit. They clearly explained everything, and never tried to upsell us on unnecessary tests or treatments. They had all needed testing and diagnostics in-house and able to be done that night. They diagnosed the issue and provided the medicine needed to resolve it. I would absolutely bring him back if we ever need emergency vet care again.

I was stunned by how positive an experience I had at VEG. We were greeted by a tech at the door and taken for triage immediately. Everyone who worked with us was so kind, competent, and knowledgeable. I felt so respected and supported through the entire process, and I’m so grateful for the high quality of care my cat received. As an additional unexpected kindness, my cat and I were put in a comfortable private room to wait for further tests to be run and for results to come back, which made the entire experience so much less stressful. I very highly recommend this veterinary ER!

Wednesday, 3/25/26, our kitty Nigel was showing signs of a bowel obstruction. We brought him to VEG Oak Brook where he was immediately assessed. He ended up spending all day there and needing surgery that night and the entire care team was unbelievably caring and helpful throughout the entire experience. There was never a moment where I felt unsure of his safety in the care of the team. Dr. Todd and Dr. Evans, with the help of all the nurses and techs, saved his life. He was made comfortable and treated with so much love. The team communicated every step of the way and even let us stay and watch his operation. We’ve spent more time there with our pets (our other cat decided to stop peeing the next day) than I think anyone would care to spend at the emergency vet, but their compassion and adeptness made it all feel so much more manageable and less scary. I’ve brought multiple pets here through the years (including rabbits!) and truly cannot recommend them enough. Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!

This is my 3rd time at VEG fortunately and unfortunately. They have always taken such good care of my boy Binky and made me feel comfortable. Although the wait time can be a little bit long when they are busy, I fully trust their expertise in caring for my baby.

When my 13-year-old dog became seriously ill and was referred here by our vet, I was terrified. She was in a DKA state, severely dehydrated, and not eating. In all her years, I had never been through an emergency hospital visit with her before, and I felt completely overwhelmed walking through the doors. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated both of us with such kindness and compassion. My dog spent 4 nights and 5 days in their care, and during that time, I never felt like I was just another worried pet owner. They supported me, answered my questions, and helped me feel as calm and informed as possible during one of the scariest experiences I’ve had with her. I was especially grateful for the open-concept layout of the hospital. Being able to stay near my dog and see the team working gave me so much comfort. It made the whole experience feel more transparent, human, and connected. I will always be thankful for the care, patience, and compassion shown to my girl when she needed it most. I’m equally grateful for the kindness and support they showed me as a pet owner during one of my most emotional and fragile moments. I will never forget that.

My blue heeler received amazing care here. No one wants to go to the emergency vet, but this experience was as painless as it could possibly be. The dr saw our dog within minutes of walking in and communicated a care plan quickly. They provided a quiet room for us because our dog is anxious. The nurses were knowledgeable, efficient, and comforting. My dog was admitted for the night, and they provided EVERYTHING so I could stay with her: bed, phone charger, toothbrush, coffee, snacks… I would never have expected that from an emergency vet. Not only that, but my dog received a very high quality of care, and she is now home and well. I could not be more grateful.

I brought my kitty, Lucky, in on a very busy Saturday, holiday wknd night. They immediately assessed my cat and kept me up to date as they managed all of the other animals. I can’t say enough how professional and compassionate the entire staff was. I was so impressed watching them flow like a well oiled machine with caring and compassionate for every animal and human. They saved my cat’s life. He unexpectedly went into Diabetic Ketoacidosis. They got him stable, were very caring with him and made sure I got to take him home. the entire staff was phenomenal! Thank you

We took our dog penny here late into the night due to her leg pain. We ended up finding out she likely has a torn ligament and will need surgery. Our dog hates the vet so much and was not at all cooperative to getting shots to sedate her for the X-rays. The team at VEG was so understanding and accommodating despite her freaking out. She was a tough cookie to deal with, but Dr. Bogart and her team handled her with ease. Our poor dog was scared to death but they were so sweet and kind to her, helped settle her down and ultimately we were able to get the X-rays we needed. I wish we could go to them for the surgery she needs, but we will definitely be back for any emergency needs. I cannot recommend them more highly! Do not hesitate to bring your pet here, the team is lovely ❤️

Wonderful experience! We brought our Samson in with an ear issue that had gotten to the point we didn't think he'd be able to sleep and likely couldn't get into our primary vet until after the weekend. Dr. Murray, Erin, and the rest of the staff were awesome and saved our weekend trip for us! We also liked the layout of their facility. Thank-you all very much! Nik, Kim, and Samson

My fiancé and I have a very tiny 10 week old hedgehog that developed a bad upper respiratory infection and they saw her right away and gave her AMAZING care. She was given so much genuine love and attention from Dr. Randi Johnson and all the nurses working her case. Our girl was in a pretty bad state for a while there, but was looking like herself again by the time we left. I cannot recommend VEG in Cary highly enough for a pet in need.

This was not my first time at VEG, but it was my first time at the Federal Way location. It was an extremely busy Saturday when I pulled in with Mini, my 5 year old cat, who was having issues urinating. Our wait was very long, as Mini was still extremely lively and early into her urination issues (only having started having issues that day), so we were bottom of the priority list. The team had new, high priority/critical patients coming in almost every hour during my 9 hour stay, and still, one of the vet techs took the time to check in with me several times while waiting to be seen to make sure Mini and I were comfortable. The team were great and thanked me for my patience and understanding. I got to stay by Mini during her ultrasound, and Dr. Ana explained calmly everything she was seeing and what it meant. Mini was ultimately diagnosed with a UTI; i asked to specifically get liquid versions of Mini's antibiotics and pain meds, and Dr. Ana happily accommodated my request. I brought Mini back in today to check her bladder, as she had not needed to pee most of the day yesterday, and the vet in today checked her bladder and happily reported she was empty! My visit today, Monday at 3pm, took only 5 minutes, but the peace of mind was worth more than money could buy. I'm grateful for the compassion and kindness of the VEG team.

Losing our beloved 10-year-old golden retriever, Nash, was one of the most heartbreaking experiences of our lives. He passed away suddenly in my lap on the drive to the emergency vet, and by the time we arrived, I was completely inconsolable in the parking lot. When my husband ran inside for help, the veterinarian immediately came rushing out to us and did everything he could to help Nash. Although it was already too late, that immediate response and genuine concern meant more to us than words can express. The entire staff treated us with extraordinary kindness, compassion, and dignity during one of the worst moments imaginable. Because Nash’s passing was so sudden, the doctor even took the time to perform an ultrasound to help us understand what had happened and provide us with some much-needed answers and closure. They guided us through every step of arranging his cremation with such care and empathy, never making us feel rushed or alone in our grief. In the days that followed, we received Nash’s paw prints, nose prints, and a card signed by the entire team. Those thoughtful gestures brought so much comfort during an incredibly painful time. I hope no pet owner ever has to experience a loss like ours, but if you do, this is the kind of team you want by your side. Their compassion, professionalism, and genuine love for animals helped carry us through an unbearable day. We will never forget the kindness they showed our sweet Nash and our family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Staff was friendly and welcoming in a stressful situation. Everyone was very accommodating for Kai, and he was more comfortable here than we’ve seen him at our primary in a long time (both when we initially came in and the follow-up visits we made for bandage changes.) He was a giant baby and wanted to sit in our laps the whole time and the staff was willing to work around it, even though he’s such a large dog. Not once did we feel ignored or pushed to the side, even though there was a lot going on during our initial stay. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone in need for emergency pet care. They are efficient and the atmosphere is great. They also made Kai a dinosaur on his bandage! I didn’t catch his name but thank you to the person who made this, it made my whole family smile.

I brought my golden doodle in due to his behavior being abnormal and not being able to keep anything down. They immediately took us into a room and began the intake process. They were busy with other surgeries, but we never felt pushed aside or ignored. The tech was super sweet and began doing ordered draws we had discussed prior. Her interaction with my pup was so kind and she was comforting towards my pup. Everything she was doing, was being explained while she was doing it, so there were no questions or concerns. Dr. Crawford and her staff were attentive, friendly, and had a passion to care for the pets. I highly recommend the team for your pet if you need to go to the VEG ER.

A great experience, the open triage and care area allows you to be with your pet through all phases of care, they do well to space out the owners pets. The doctors were great, though most of our time was with the nurses and they really stood out in their care, experience, compassion and kindness. So thankful to everyone who cared for my dog Loui during our 27 hour stay. From draining out is bloat, answering all my questions at 2am for when results came back for suggesting surgery, the surgery itself, the care taken in his recovery and then his discharge. All the love he received from everyone who worked there was truly heartwarming.

We are so grateful to this amazing vet team for taking such great care of our cat, Baby Boy (Aboi). Thanks to their care and attention, he recovered so quickly, which meant the world to us. A special thank-you to Dr. Sana Banaeianzadeh, who made sure Aboi was truly ready and in good condition before sending him home. She was incredibly kind, thorough, and reassuring throughout the process. She even sent us home with two jars of baby food to help him regain his appetite — such a thoughtful and caring gesture that really shows how much she cares about her patients. We couldn’t be more thankful and highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for compassionate, attentive veterinary care.

Everyone was excellent! Dr Juan was very knowledgeable and honest, and he collaborated with me to make sure that I was updated with what was going on and that I got everything done that I wanted to for my pet. The receptionist was super kind and attentive in making sure we were comfortable, checking in with us and bringing us snacks and drinks while we waited. All the nurses that worked with my pet were very empathetic and gentle with her to make sure that she was comfortable and getting the best care possible. I didn't have to wait at all to be brought back to the treatment area - they got started on her right away. My pet is a cat so we waited with her in an enclosed room to the side of the treatment area where she was more comfortable away from the dogs and able to walk about the room freely. We could still see through the blinds though what was going on in the hospital with the other pets that were there being helped and were given the opportunity to come to the treatment area to watch her being cared for.

I cannot recommend VEG enough. They truly saved my cat’s life. I brought Moochi in not realizing he was experiencing a urinary blockage, something I later learned could have been fatal. From the moment we arrived, the entire VEG team was compassionate, calm, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to explain everything clearly while also understanding how terrified I was. Hannah, the vet nurse, in particular made me feel so deeply comforted during one of the scariest moments of my life. Her kindness, patience, and reassurance meant more to me than I can put into words. That said, every single person we interacted with was amazing. My cat is a “spicy,” boy, and they treated him with so much respect and care. What meant the most to me was that they allowed me to be there while he was being treated. Being able to stay with him during that process gave me an incredible sense of peace and trust, something that is truly priceless in an emergency situation. He even had his own separate area during recovery, which helped immensely with his stress. He has now been diagnosed with FLUTD, meaning lifelong management, and the team made sure I felt informed, supported, and never alone in navigating what comes next. I am beyond grateful to VEG and their entire team. I will never forget this experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I would like to highly recommend and thank the emergency animal hospital VEG ER in White Plains on Tarrytown Road. My newly adopted cat needed emergency care for a surprise bladder issue on Sunday morning and again on Monday night. The vets, vet techs and staff there were so amazing and our boy got the best care. Please visit them if your pet needs emergency care. I was blown away by their thorough care and extremely good bed side manners and kindness with humans and animals. You can tell these people love animals and their jobs. Also please keep Rubio in your prayers for continued healing. Thanks! Before and after pictures thanks to VEG ER in White Plains! From start to finish, my experience with VEG ER was amazing and I will highly recommend them to anyone whose pet needs emergency care or even think they might need it. We were contemplating the severity of our kitten’s situation and called them to get their opinion. Expecting the standard answer of “they should definitely come in” by a receptionist or vet tech, I was able to speak directly with the vet who had advised practical, real advice, things to look out for and what scenarios would warrant us to bring our little guy in earlier than his scheduled appointment the next morning with a standard vet. After those things to look out for became the reality, we made the decision to bring him in to VEG ER. We were greeted immediately by the staff, our kitten was triaged right then and there, and their open concept ER meant we were able to stay with our kitten throughout the entire process. It was clear they honor the bond between pets and their owners by their allowing owners to stay with them, even overnight, offering what looked to be pull out beds and blankets, and snacks/drinks for the owners. The transparency was extremely refreshing to see. Dr. Tippy and Michelle were amazing, answered all of our questions and treated our little guy quickly. From start to finish we were there maybe an hour…I’ve waited longer than that at other animal hospitals just in the waiting room. Given the sophistication of the place, we really expected the bill to be high, but the cost was extremely reasonable. I’ve paid more for far less at other facilities. We’re so happy we made the choice to call VEG ER and ultimately bring him in, he’s already clearly feeling so much better. I can’t recommend them enough!

I had an excellent experience with this veterinary clinic and am so grateful for the outstanding care my dachshund, Mozzie, received. Dr. Beshir was incredibly kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. His professionalism and genuine concern for my dog gave me great peace of mind. I would also like to thank Sierra and Brittany for being so loving, gentle, and caring with Mozzie. They made both of us feel comfortable and supported throughout the visit. I especially appreciated being able to stay with my dog the entire time, which meant a lot to me. And Kevin also. The entire team was attentive, patient, and transparent, explaining everything clearly from start to finish. The level of care and compassion we received exceeded my expectations. I am extremely satisfied with our experience and highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care.

Bailey was hospitalized for two nights, and this team took such incredible care of him. He is a very anxious dog, and they treated him with so much patience, gentleness, and understanding. They even shut the lights off to help make him more comfortable, which meant so much to us. You can truly tell this team loves what they do. Every single person we interacted with was compassionate, attentive, and genuinely invested in Bailey’s well being. They don’t just treat animals medically, they care for them emotionally too. The way they handled him, spoke about him, and adjusted his environment to ease his anxiety showed how deeply they care for each animal that walks through their doors. During a very stressful time for our family, they gave us reassurance and peace of mind. We are beyond grateful for their dedication, kindness, and the above and beyond care they provided Bailey.

I had to take my kitten to this ER during a really stressful situation, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about them. From the very beginning, even while I was still driving there, the vet (Andy Chiang) took the time to speak with me on the phone, explain what they were thinking, and help me stay calm. That level of communication made a huge difference. Once we arrived, the entire team was incredibly professional, thorough, and—most importantly—focused on what was best for my pet. They did not rush into unnecessary procedures and were very thoughtful about next steps. In fact, they were careful not to over-treat or overcharge, which I really appreciated. It genuinely felt like their priority was my cat’s well-being, not just running more tests. They took the time to re-evaluate everything, explained their findings clearly, and made sure I understood what was actually going on. After everything my kitten and I had already been through that day, their approach made the experience so much less overwhelming. My kitten is now doing well, and I’m incredibly grateful for the care, honesty, and professionalism we received here. Highly recommend.
