Everyone was very kind and attentive with Lyla. They made a stressful situation much easier and took great care of her. I had a great experience overall and really appreciated how helpful and compassionate the staff was. The only downside was that the visit was quite expensive, but I’m grateful Lyla received the care she needed.” The staff was amazing. Thank you to Dr. Chennault, Madison( the nurse), Julissa and Jennifer for taking good care my Lyla.

Every staff member and doctor who worked with us went above and beyond. Even as the number of patients coming in continued to increase quickly, they never allowed the stress or pressure to affect the level of care and compassion they showed. They remained calm, attentive, and genuinely caring toward every pet and family they were helping. That says so much about the kind of team they are, and it definitely did not go unnoticed.

I had a great experience at VEG ER for Pets. The staff were caring, friendly and welcoming. We saw a doctor right when we arrived. The open floor plan was very different from our vet’s office. Treating my dog while we were sitting on couches instead of a sterile exam room definitely reduced my stress and my dog’s anxiety when we visit a vet. The staff were very professional and knowledgeable and communicated with us every step of the way. I was with my dog the entire time and helped comfort him when the nurses took blood and examined him. The care was top notch. I would highly recommend VEG for anytime a pet needs immediate medical attention.

I want to thank everyone I came in contact with at VEG Larkspur for their kindness! I felt very well taken care of and supported, and I appreciated that Riley's care was nurturing, comforting and thorough. The intake process with James was outstanding. He helped me settle down, with a private room which was so helpful, and he even shared some chocolate from his private stash :-) The doctor and every single one of the vet techs who helped Riley were wonderful, so caring and compassionate! The written report I received from Larkspur VEG via email a few days later was very helpful and included every detail of our visit including lab results. Their follow-up messages were so thoughtful, much appreciated, and they also forwarded a copy to Riley's regular vet. I'm so glad that Marin County now has this wonderful vet ER group, and I highly recommend them! Riley wants everyone to know that he is feeling much better now. =^..^=

This isn’t our first visit to VEG, and I’m sure it won’t be our last—pet emergencies have a way of striking when you least expect them. It’s an enormous comfort knowing their team of wonderful, strong (mostly) women 💪 are there whenever we need them. I’m especially grateful they allowed me to stay by my pet’s side throughout treatment and included me in her care. No one knows a pet better than their owner, and that partnership made all the difference in her comfort and recovery. The staff answered every question with patience and kindness throughout our stay. Carla, our nurse, was gentle and attentive with our girl in a way that meant more than words can express. Dr. Croel was thorough, direct, and honest with us every step of the way. The facility itself is spotless, and the staff clearly prioritize patient care in everything they do. As much as we hope to never need an emergency vet, we’re deeply grateful VEG is there when we do. Maya and her family thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Paddington says to thank everyone who pet him and gave him all the attention he demanded. The staff are the reason why Paddington does not associate VEG on Rampart as a negative experience. Thank you to everyone’s help and all the love given to him on our *latest* visit 😭. Thankfully nothing serious this time. Realizing right now that I don’t recall my nurses/techs names’, I am so sorry. I think I was just happy that Paddy was happy and completely forgot to get names. The two ladies kept us updated and offered help throughout our entire stay. They were also so chill with our strange encounter; someone I knew walked in with their own pet concerns. They helped ease those parents immediately. Afterwards our areas merged (while still separate) and the nurse/tech were so good about keeping us updated but keeping patient info confidential. I was able to witness them, and DVM Jones, treat the pet and parents with compassion, offering comfort and understanding throughout, offering options for payments without judgement to the parent’s ability to pay. Unfortunately, the fur babe’s diagnosis was too severe and treatment and recovery would be difficult, so the difficult decision was made for comfort. I hate it came to the conclusion it came to. I could tell the staff were affected, and yet they did the switch up everyone in the medical does where they put their emotions aside and made sure that each fur babe and parent they encountered got the level of care they deserved. The staff even helped me when we were discharged and had my dog and took the other family’s *literal* baby so they could say their goodbyes. We were no longer a patient but they still checked on us and gave Paddington tons of love. The staff at VEG on Rampart are something special, because while it was all tough for the other family, in the end they managed to have the other parent’s laughing. *Thankful for anyone who remembered Paddy from previous visits. You fill his bucket and boost his ego, and this point his name should be Diva Paddington.*

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot thank the team at VEG ER for Pets enough for the incredible care they gave my dog during such a frightening time. From the moment we walked in, everyone treated us with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Dr. Anghel was outstanding—thorough, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Nurse Samantha was so caring and attentive, making both my dog and me feel comfortable. Cat, the assistant, was gentle and compassionate, and Brittany made the entire process smooth and welcoming. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make sure my dog received the best possible care. They truly treated her as if she were their own. During a stressful emergency, they gave us peace of mind, and I will always be grateful for their dedication and kindness. Thank you, Dr. Anghel, Samantha, Cat, and Brittany, for your exceptional care. I highly recommend VEG ER for Pets to anyone who wants a team that genuinely cares about both pets and their families. In late May of this year, we brought our extremely sick cat to VEG EP after a pretty awful experience at another ER the night before. From the very first phone call, our experience was seriously amazing. We were able to speak with the doctor the moment we walked in the door. Our cat was kept hospitalized overnight and we spent quite a bit of time there with him. Even when there were 5 other patients in the hospital, it was a very quiet and calm environment. Our cat is 10/10 peppers spicy, and everyone who handled him and interacted with him was SO GOOD with him, and I was very stressed and worried, but everyone handled me with a lot of care too. He is still working through whatever it was that made him so sick to begin with, but we really thought he wasn't going to last the weekend, and the VEG team completely turned that around for us and he's been improving ever since. Thank you so much for saving our kitty and I'm so sorry he wasn't nicer to you guys!!

I cannot say enough about the staff and our experience this week at VEG in Snellville. Our 12-year-old Golden Retriever, Madyson, was immediately triaged and taken for X-rays upon arrival. She was suffering from a sudden GDV (bloat), a life-threatening condition involving a twisted stomach that requires emergency surgery. Given her age, the potential complications and recovery challenges, and her ongoing struggles with Cushing’s disease and thyroid disease over the past two years, we made the incredibly difficult decision to let her go peacefully and return to her Heavenly Creator. The tears continue to flow because Madyson was truly the best dog. While our hearts are broken, we know we made the most loving and compassionate decision for her. The entire team at VEG was exceptional. They were kind, compassionate, patient, and willing to answer every question we had. They never rushed us and allowed us to spend as much time with Madyson as we needed. I am so grateful to have a 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital so close to home. I trust their expertise and their evaluation completely. While I hope we never need emergency services for our other dogs, it brings me comfort knowing that VEG is there if we do. God bless each and every one of you. Thank you for being there for us during one of the hardest moments of our lives.

To the AMAZING staff that helped me, my husband, and our baby boy on Christmas morning, THANK YOU for doing everything you could, under stressful circumstances, on Christmas Day, to help my reactive and aggressive dog, Hurley, safely get tinsel out of his stomach. It has taken me so long to write a proper thank you because shortly after this incident, we had to euthanize our boy. I am still actively grieving, but I want you to know how much you are appreciated, especially under the extreme stress we and our dog were under. You all risked yourselves to help my dog without hesitation. He snapped over and over at the air, wanted to get as far as he could from you sweet people as possible, and you still tried your best to instruct me to help as his trusted person, get a cone on, give him dose after dose to vomit the tinsel - and it worked. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for taking care of us and our boy that morning. Upon returning home from RI, we had to say goodbye to our boy due to his aggression soon after. This was one of the last awful memories for us and stressful events for him after years of trying to help him, manage triggers, medications, and consulting with experts to keep him happy and everyone safe. He was at his lowest seeing you all, and you showed him and us grace that made it just a little easier, and that meant so much. People are often quick to blame, not understand, or lack empathy - but not your team. Thank you a million times over for your quick action, thoughtful consideration in reducing the stress and any procedures for Hurley, and for your compassion for animals and people alike. I will never forget that day for more than one reason, the second being how you responded with huge hearts. Thank you, you all are actual angels on earth.

I’m late on writing a review but I also wanted to give an update on my sweet baby Missy! Words can’t describe how grateful I am for this place and the nurses and doctors. My Missy was seen last November for severe subcutaneous emphysema caused by another vet’s negligence. Missy is my soul cat I couldn’t imagine losing her due to something that could have been prevented, she’s my world and my reason I’m here. The nurses and doctors were so compassionate and empathetic they KNEW how important it was to save Missy. They were honest about everything up front and kept me updated all through the night through text or a call. I can’t remember the doctors name that first took Missy that night but I do remember dr shoemaker taking over her care the next morning and he was amazing, his aftercare plan was great and Missy made a full recovery and she’s better than ever. Her new vet who recommended VEG saw her for a check up after her ER visit and said she might have some residual damage from the trachea tear but other than that she’s been so much better. She’s still her very loving self and still so playful with her brother! I will be forever grateful for everyone at VEG for saving my baby girl. Also I was quoted 3k to start treatment for her and they knew money was tight for me but when I came back to get her they were actually able to treat her less than that and was able to put money back into my pocket. They could have lied and took all the money and not helped Missy and said there was nothing they could do but they didn’t. The integrity of this place and commitment of this medical team goes beyond 4 stars! Here’s some recents pictures of Missy! She’s doing great and clean bill of health!

Me and my girlfriend brought in our cat after seeing her experience Diabetic Ketoacidosis, which caused her to lose weight rapidly, not eat anything, and could barely move, so much as to blink, it was really bad. We had her start treatment and didn’t think she would make it after hearing that some cats would need more than 48 hours of treatment, but the whole time she was getting treated, we had received so many complimentary services that came with the cost of her treatment, and I never felt so comforted and safe to leave my cats life in someone else’s hands. Best part is that it was all worth it because they were able to save her, and she recovered so quickly with their resources and expertise. I couldn’t have been more grateful. Thank you Veg for saving our baby.

We had to bring our boxer in for emergency CSection. The whole chipped in due to having 14 puppies. We lost 1 at home and 1 at the hospital. Everyone was so nice and saved my baby's life. We had to return 3cweeks later due to a puppy aspirating. She was admitted and her care team took such good care of her. Thank you Dr. Lingen, Dr. Hammett, Dr. Patel, Sam, Jess W, Taylor & Jess. We are so grateful!

Fast Eddie had 7 seizures Tuesday, including one when we first arrived at AEG. The care was incredible. I can't explain how great the entire Staff was, except they made us feel like he was their dog, while also attending to all the other pets. Such great care!!! I am a real person, and today, Fast Eddie is comfy right at home. Thank you AEG, St. Peters, Mo.

brought my dog Nala into VEG during one of the scariest nights I’ve ever had with her. She was extremely congested, struggling to breathe, and her little body was working so hard just to oxygenate properly. It was a full emotional roller coaster — trying to stay calm, trying to understand what was happening, trying to process the cost, the options, the medications, the X-rays, and the fear of not knowing what was causing it. Dr. McKinney was Nala’s main doctor, and Susan and Sam were the main techs caring for her. I was genuinely so impressed by them. You can tell when people are just “doing a job” versus when they are deeply passionate and extremely knowledgeable as this team was. They were thorough, calm, sharp, compassionate, and incredibly present. What stood out most was how much they kept me updated. I never felt like Nala was taken away and I was left in the dark. They explained what they were doing, what they were watching, what they were concerned about, and what the next steps were. They were watching every detail, and that gave me so much comfort during a terrifying situation. Also, VEG is truly like a regular ER. There is a lot happening in there, scared families, sick animals, emergencies coming in, people making hard decisions. It was honestly beautiful to see them in action. Very organized, very attentive, very human. Emergency vet care is never easy emotionally or financially, but I left feeling deeply grateful that Nala was in such capable hands. I feel lucky to have this team available in such a scary time. If you are wondering whether this place is okay: hands down, the best. Thank you Dr. McKinney, Susan, Sam, and the entire VEG team for taking such good care of Nala and for everything you do.

We found ourselves at VEG ER on a Saturday morning with our kitty, Dewey (not what we had planned, but alas). We were greeted by Aaron, who went above and beyond in terms of kindness, customer service, and making sure we were all comfortable. Dr. Landry was the veterinarian on duty, and I really appreciated her bedside manner, the time she took to talk with us and explain what she thought was going on with Dewey, and just her general personality and warmth. The wait was long as there were quite a few others there, but I wouldn’t have traded it for a shorter wait given how great the team was. I also want to give Vincent and Katelyn a shoutout. They were our vet assistants for the day, and they were both wonderful and kind even though Dewey wasn’t 😭

I cannot thank everyone at VEG enough over the past 2 days. On Sunday morning, I had to take my dog there that ended up having a blockage in his intestines after getting into one of our cabinets while I was away. Although the wait was a bit longer than usual with it being Memorial Day weekend, they made sure both my dog Jordan and I were comfortable while we waited. Once we met with a doctor, they made sure to do an in depth examination while keeping him calm and near me which helped. They went over the treatment plan and payment plan options with me and made sure to answer the multitude of questions I had for them without making me feel like I was being annoying or wasting their time as they were extremely busy. I ended up having to keep my dog there, but they allowed me to come get him at 1:00am as I had wished once his treatments were done instead of making me keep him there overnight. Since unfortunately we could not get his obstruction to move, I did end up taking him back the next day. As soon as we arrived, multiple staff members greeted my dog Jordan by name and were very attentive right away when they saw us again which I greatly appreciated and was impressed with. They brought him a giant soft bed for him to rest on during the check in process. We were about to move forward with surgery, but the new doctor on shift wanted to double check imaging again to make sure it was necessary even when I told them to go ahead and do whatever they needed to just to get this out of my dogs system. I agreed to the plan or reimaging and am glad I did! We ended up getting the blockage to move, and with the medication provided we ultimately got it out of his system without surgical intervention (which we originally thought was necessary). I appreciate them saving me a ton of money instead of just moving forward with surgery right away! He is now resting at home. Shout out to Dr. Prada, Dr. Bugg, the very kind nurses/assistants (apologies that I cannot remember everyone’s name) and even the security guard for helping us! We LOVE you all!

First time here and we will 100% be coming back for any future emergencies with our dog (hopefully not too many times lol). Our girl was taken care of from the second we walked in to the minute she left. We were able to be there with her the whole time, and all the staff were such a joy. Grateful it wasn’t life threatening—even then they still treated her with priority and made us feel heard. Thank you to the team! She says thank you as she’s currently on her pain meds lol

I stayed with my cat Marco a majority of his 36 hour stay at VEG and encountered a few different shifts of nurses and doctors. Every single person on those teams were welcoming and understanding beyond my expectations. I never once felt like he wasn’t in the best possible care. Genuinely couldn’t have asked for better treatment during and after his procedure thank you everyone so so much.

It was if for that moment they became an extended part of our family and I will never forget that. Thank you VEG ER! Michael "MJ"Jackson 8/19/2010- 4/22/2026🌈🐶💛

The team at VEG worked diligently for hours on our Golden Fitzgerald (Fitzy) after he had been attacked. My husband rushed our beloved boy in during the middle of the night while I was several plane rides away from home away at work. The team was transparent, open, and never sugarcoated anything (which I greatly appreciate) which made it very easy to know I needed to get back to Illinois. Fitzy spent 3 days as an inpatient with VEG. As a trauma/flight nurse of 20 years myself; I couldn’t have been more amazed at the work this team did. If you are in need of a highly skilled, experienced, talented, empathetic, well trained team that has unlimited resources at their fingertips for your pet… this is where you want them to be. I knew Fitz was in the best of hands. We couldn’t be more happy with all the care Fitz and our family received from VEG! We want to truly thank you, from the bottom of our hearts for saving our boy Fitzy. No words could express the gratitude we have for everything you did for him, I was blown away by all the services you were able to provide for him. I truly know had he been taken anywhere else: he wouldn’t be here today. I never knew what it felt like to say “thank you just isn’t enough” … We wish we could properly express our gratitude for your quick and lifesaving actions. Forever grateful, The Bossio Family

Went to VEG ER in Elk Grove, CA on Sunday 6/21/26. Let me start with they were absolutely wonderful! I have heard great things from friends in the vet field and I follow the VEG instagram as well. They definitely did not disappoint. My soul dog, Lilly, has kidney disease and heart disease and was fitting the symptoms for possible kidney failure. Nolan did our intake and was very kind and down to earth. Dr. Huntyr Mcmurty was Lilly’s doctor and she was compassionate, kind, caring, and listened very well. Dr. Mcmurty laid out what our options are and we agreed to proceed with blood work to check kidney values and go from there.after blood work supporting what I expected, extremely increased kidney values, Dr. Mcmurty explained our next options for hospital care or supportive care until humane euthanasia, of which we decided to do the latter since Lilly is 15.5yrs old. Overall the experience, as hard as it is to be with your sick fur baby, was very pleasant because of the wonderful care team and staff. I regret that I didn’t catch everyone’s name that helped Lilly, but each person was exceptional. All this to say it was very busy, a bit short staffed, and yet they still managed to remain calm, triage very well, and provide excellent care. If anyone needs an emergency vet I will always recommend VEG. Oh and those curious of pricing: with a sick and elderly dog I already expect to pay at least $500, and with ER vets I thought it would be significantly more, but was under $600 for an exam, blood work, medication, and subcutaneous fluids. So in my opinion very reasonable and well priced. Thank you VEG for all you do. Vets, vet techs, nurses, assistants, you are all amazing and no amount of praise can describe my gratitude towards you all. Thank you ❤️

When we had to say goodbye to our dog, Latte, this clinic made one of the hardest days of our lives as gentle as it could possibly be. She suffered from end stage lymphoma, and we looked into several veterinary clinics beforehand, and this one stood out for its reasonable pricing. But more than that, from the moment we walked in, the staff guided us straight to a private room with no waiting in a busy lobby, and gave us all the time we needed to grieve and to let Latte go at our own pace. Every step of the process was explained clearly, and we could feel how much they truly cared about us and our dog throughout. We had arranged to take Latte home afterward for a private cremation, and the way they prepared her for us was beyond anything we expected. She was placed in a paper coffin with flowers, and when we asked, they even clipped some of her fur and placed it in a small glass bottle to include with her. It was so thoughtful and so full of heart. Latte deserved the most loving farewell, and that's exactly what she received here. Every staff member was compassionate and kind. We are so grateful we chose this clinic, and we're so glad Latte's last moments were held with such care. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts💖

My two doggies got into some human medication and we needed to have them looked at asap. After speaking with ASPCA poison control, we took them over to VEG on Ralph Avenue. We were greeted by friendly staff when we came in . This was very consoling for me. After weigh in they took us into a room . I gave all the pertinent information I'd written down with the poison control number. This helped with check in process. We were there for a few hours. Dr Anderson went over a couple of options and she gave honest opinion of which course of action to take. We went with that route. It's the next day and my two doggies are 100% their normal self and getting into things.

I brought my kitten in last night and was seen by Dr. Weymouth and Nurse Mahala. I can't thank them enough for the care and attention they gave us. They were incredibly informative, took the time to explain everything thoroughly, and were so patient with all of my questions. They even stayed overtime to make sure everything was properly taken care of before we left, which really meant a lot to me. What I appreciated most was their honesty and professionalism. I never felt rushed or dismissed, and I could tell they genuinely cared about my kitten's well-being. I left feeling confident that she got the care she needed. Thank you, Dr. Weymouth and Mahala. I'm grateful to have a 24/7 vet I can trust with my pet.

Most definitely, THE BEST, place around if you're needing emergency care or just basic care for your pets, the staff that worked the night of our girls emergency were AMAZING, i sadly only remember one of their names (Julie Bulford) i think that's how you spell the last name. They never took our girl out of our site, they let us be involved in helping with her (optional) They never did any testing, treatments, medications, etc without asking first and also going over everything previously and making sure the price was okay with us before jumping the gun. I've never been to a vet with so much respect and compassion for our pets, i will continue to be a loyal customer to this place and also owing them our lives for saving our chihuahua (M.GiRl) Thank you guys SO MUCH all of you we're IMMACULATE

My friend frantically called me after finding one of her beloved cats ate a pill dropped by an elderly companion. We rushed to VEG in Nanuet and were blown away by their swift care and extreme attention to her cats health. The staff completed rapid triage, were very compassionate as we were so upset, there was full transparency on care costs and detailed aftercare instructions. All turned out fine, thankfully. We are beyond grateful for the immediate care and attention we received. Please do not hesitate to visit VEG Nanuet if your pet needs emergency care.

I brought my French Mastiff Enzo in the other night. He had a seizure out of the blue in the middle of the night. They ran tests and sent us home with to monitor him and to come back if he gets worse while we wait for his bloodwork. Well later that afternoon he seized again and we watched him. Well went back later in the evening as he got really bad and Dr McGhee was there. Our mastiff was 10 1/2 and had lived past his life expectancy by a few years. The staff and Dr McGhee were amazing. Enzo was an amazing dog and they showed him dignity and kindness. Our whole family was there as we knew this was going to be the end. I believe Enzo held on for all of us to be there. I told Dr McGhee how I always pictured knowing it was going to be time to put him down and I had a whole day planned of Enzo getting all his fave treats and just being spoiled. The Dr and Techs went and made a plate from stuff in their lunches. That meant the world to me. Unfortunately Enzo had stopped eating and didn’t get to enjoy it, if he could though the plate would have been licked clean, but just the gesture of their kindness in a time that was so hard for all of us. I can’t put into words how amazing that moment felt to me. I can’t even put into words what Enzo meant to my family. His loss is felt to a degree that is unfathomable. He was literally not just a dog and he was never treated like a dog. He was family. The vet and techs treated him just like that, not like another sick animal but like a family member who just couldn’t fight anymore. Enzo made sure we were all there and just like he did for us everyday, we all made sure we were there for him. I cannot thank them enough for the kindness they showed to our old man who was the greatest gift we ever had. Thank you Dr McGhee and staff for supporting us and helping us with a process of life that is the worst part. The sacrifice of time and your lunches was a great tribute to a great dog! I included pictures of his smile and his fave past time of sleeping.

My pet cat was quite ill. We were seen quickly and all the staff members were wonderful. They seemed to be working together well. We were seen quickly, my cat was assessed and treated quickly and appropriately. We were able to go home in a couple hours with a diagnosis and treatment that worked well. My cat was less than impressed with the temperature taking and suprapubic urine draw. My husband and I, human health care providers, were very pleased with the care. I let him sit on the deck with supervision the next day. We were surprised by the open concept treatment area. We saw so many sweet animals and we were praying for all of them. If we ever need ER vet care again, we are driving straight to VEG.

I have often found the other emergency vets in the area have staff too undertrained and not equipped to deal with actual procedures. When my cat accidentally swallowed a six inch piece of string at 12:30am Saturday, I debated about calling any of them for an hour. Then I remembered there was a new one I saw on Dorset Street. It was a very long night and they had to try a couple methods, but they were all so calm and pleasant and prepared to actually treat the problem there. Surgery was not necessary but they were ready if it came to that. None of the ‘sorry we can’t do that here you’ll need to wait to see your regular vet in two days’ I’ve gotten from the other places. I was so emotional and drained and dreading the wait for her procedure, but the rooms are equipped with futons! They even have pillows and blankets! I was able to relax and just focus on keeping my cat comfortable. This is a place that understands how exhausting the stress can be and how many people will spend the night unwilling to leave their pets. Their facilities are clean and everything is thought of; I was too upset to eat but I did see they had a variety of snacks and amenities. I’m so glad I made the call and gave VEG a chance. My cat was back to herself and string-free when I got her home. The cost is high but that is simply the nature of an emergency vet and was expected. Luckily we have pet insurance to cover some and they take CareCredit. Really glad VEG is in the area now.

We had to take our dog, Gary, in for a minor injury (torn claw that had to be removed) and I was super impressed from the moment we walked in. No questions asked, because it was obvious what the injury was, we were taken straight into triage, seen straight away by the nurse and then again by doctor 10mins later. She explained the whole process of what she recommended (sedation, removal, follow-up care, antibiotics and painkillers) while also asking if we understood and if we had any concerns. What I especially loved about this place was the open and transparent environment of the facility. It felt like being in a human ER. We were practically in the middle of all situations and treatments and we were so close to Gary all the time. Often, at other places, you send your pet off to a backroom and you have no idea what’s going on. VEG ER is not like that. You’re literally sat with your pet through the entire experience. What’s also great is because you’re allowed behind the curtain, you get to see what else is going on. Behind us was a couple who had a cat with lots of complications and they had to make some pretty upsetting decisions. The vets were extremely kind, empathetic and patient with them. Which took a lot of time and time away from our dog being treated. BUT… because we were in the same room, we could see what was happening and were able to empathize with this family. We had a full visit time of 4.5hrs, which would usually annoy me, but because I was able to see everything going on, I truly understood why it took so long. I’m so impressed with this place that I wish they had a regular vet offer rather than just ER. I hope I never have to return, but solely down to obviously not wanting my dog to need it. If we ever need an emergency vet visit again, this is where I’d return. Recommend to all for any emergencies.

The team at VEG took such fantastic care of our pitsky, Adele, when we had to rush her to emergency care twice over the span of a week for pale gums and bloody vomit. It was a scary time for us, but throughout Adele's overnight stay (where we got to stay right with her in a private room), we were reassured she was in expert hands with folks who were providing exceptional care as they diagnoses her with ulcers and gastritis. We received regular updates, thorough explanations of invoices & estimates, and streamlined communications. On our second visit, when we learned Adele needed more intensive care, the team quickly got us connected to MedVet so she could have a blood transfusion. I'm sorry I don't remember everyone's name who supported us, but Michael, Rowan, Chrissy, Kiandra (sp? ultrasound tech! and the tech in training!), Dr. Kruzova, Dr. Gulson, Dr. Billand, and the other doctors, nurses, and staff who supported overnight Monday 6/29 - Tuesday 6/30, as well as 7/5, all took such great care of Adele (and her moms!). The team was also super helpful with my follow up calls and questions. We cannot thank you enough for all have done for our sweet girl.

It’s hard for me to put into words how amazing the staff get at VEG was. It was the middle of the night and we knew our beloved dog wasn’t going to make it through the night like we hoped. We were waiting until Monday to take her to her vet in hope they could magically heal her. When we had to make the extremely tough decision to help her go peacefully the vet and the nurses were through with the procedure and everything it involved. They even let our baby say goodbye to her by playing with her one last time. I will be forever thankful for them. They hugged me and insured me I was doing the right thing for our precious fur baby. In such a hard situation they made it so easy and heartfelt. Thank you truly from the bottom of my heart for taking such good care of one of our children. I will recommend this clinic to anyone who is needing emergency care for their sweet fur babies. The room they have for families having to make the extremely difficult decision was warm and inviting. It wasn’t scary, it wasn’t gross, it was good. It’s in the back so you don’t have all the noise of the lobby or the operating rooms.

We walked in and were assigned a room to get assessed right away. The intake desk and nurses did a check up on our pet bunny who had an upset stomach. The doctor nurses and staff were attentive to Louie, and explained every bit of the process with us. We were there for a few hours, but that's what to expect from any ER. They had water and some snack for us while we waited for his X-rays and diagnostics to come back. We are grateful for the attentiveness of the doctor and her entire staff for our bunny's recover from his belly. I can't thank you enough for his care. If you have a pet .. this is the ER to go to.

I cannot thank the team at VEG Schaumburg enough for the incredible care they gave my dog Remy. From the moment we arrived everyone was so kind and welcoming. They treated both my dog and I with genuine care. After Remy’s surgery they allowed me to stay overnight with her so I could be by her side. They are open 24 hours, which is very convenient. The room set up for family’s including a sofa bed is very considerate. My Son was able to visit w us as well. I wish I remembered all of the team members names who constantly checked on us and answered all of our questions and made sure Remy was comfortable and safe. Dr. Chernock is genuinely compassionate. He had a lot of patience for me at such a stressful time. Dr. Carney performed surgery, she is a Rock 💫 Star. Dr. Chernock and Dr. Carney complement each other very well. Dr. Carson the anesthesiologist is hands down the best, effortlessly winsome. Shout out to Alexis, Shannon, Christel, and the rest of the amazing staff. I am beyond grateful. They went above and beyond. Thank you.

My dog needed emergency care and VEG ER for Pets was a godsend. The staff were all compassionate and professional. The facility was clean and in great condition. All the fears and questions I had regarding my pet were answered with great compassion. I never once felt like just another customer and really felt that the staff loved my pet just as much as I do. I hope we never have another emergency but know I can count on VEG ER for Pets to provide valuable care. THANK YOU so much to the professionals at VEG ER for Pets, you were there in our time of need. Love Bailey and his dog dad Frank!

After two days of hospitalization at his primary vet, my dog was transferred to VEG for weekend/overnight hospitalization. Him and I spent 42 hours in "Hotel VEG". While this was truly a terrifying and emotional situation, VEG made our experience comfortable, peaceful and even pleasant (under the circumstances). He had four total doctors during his long stay and they were all great. However, he was under Dr. Benjamin Rogers' care the majority of the time and Dr. Rogers was truly wonderful! He handled all of my emotions/concerns/questions in such a gentle and caring way, while still being honest about the severity of the situation. Each of the nurses he had were also very caring and attentive to both him and myself. Sadly, I do not recall the name of one nurse in particular (hopefully VEG can look him up in the records to ensure he is aware of this review), but he was so caring and loving towards my dog. My dog was unable to stand/walk upon arrival at VEG, and this particular nurse and I were outside at 2 AM when he was finally able to walk and the nurse was literally cheering his milestones, encouraging him to walk every single step and just about as excited as I was to see his progress. I felt like my dog and I were both cared about during our entire stay. While I hope that I never need VEG’s services again, I would not hesitate to return, if necessary. I truly believe that set up that allows you to stay with your pet the entire time was very healing for my dog and allowed him to focus on getting better, without the stress of wondering why he was alone in cage during such a scary time for him. I called several hours before the transfer so that they knew he was coming and was provided an electronic intake form so that they had all of his information beforehand. I called again a few minutes before my arrival and was met in the parking lot with a gurney to get him inside. A doctor immediately began examining him and taking his extensive history from me. We were quickly set up in a private room with a bed for him and I to share. We were consistently checked on throughout his treatment and I was always told what they were doing and why they were doing every single thing they did for him.
