They took such great care of my cat star! We brought her in because she had been hurting and we knew we had to put her down that night, They put us in a comfortable relaxing room to love on her while she was getting put to sleep. All of the staff were super kind and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye to her! They also sent me home with so many paw prints and fur pouches With her fluff in it, which meant so much to me! A few days later, we got a call saying that her clay paw print was ready and I picked it up today and it was absolutely beautiful!!! They are such an amazing animal Hospital and I definitely recommend!!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. From the frantic first phone call to walking out the door, I have never experienced such care, compassion, and kindness. The team were fast yet thorough, exceedingly compassionate and gentle, with skilled and knowledgeable hands. Unfortunately it was our girls time to pass and the team were just wonderful to us. The facility has a dedicated room for time to be with your family in a private setting for saying goodbyes. The financial side was a little steep. However, I will say it was worth every penny because oh how skilled, compassionate, and comfortable they made the experience. To the team working the early morning of July 3rd, thank you. Worlds can’t express our gratitude.

The amazing team at VEG saved my best friend and I will forever be indebted to them (both literally and figuratively 😅). I called in a panic that my 12year old pitbull may have bloat, and staff on the phone suspected the same, so we sped right over. Within minutes of arrival, the vet techs had done scans to confirm her stomach was indeed twisting and she needed surgery immediately. It was all-hands-on-deck to swiftly get her catheterization lines placed and release gas from her abdomen to give her some relief while the operating suite was being turned over from another surgery. I was allowed to stay with my baby as they prepped her, which was unexpected and deeply appreciated (despite how upsetting it is to see your baby go limp with sedatives and get intubated). They recognized a possible adverse reaction to the sedative within minutes and quickly reacted to address it. They kept me appraised of every step they'd be taking, then gave updates throughout the surgery. By some miracle, (really by the magic of the talented VMDs there), my old lady not only survived a major complication, (total splenectomy), but also came through surgery and recovered swiftly. I was even allowed to stay with her post-op in her kennel, which was another unexpected and happy surprise to me. I went from thinking it was time to say goodbye to my beloved old girl, to bringing her home less than 24hours later. I write this review 1-week post-op, with my old lady happily snoring next to me, and am certain this wouldn't be the case if not for how well-trained and impressive VEG staff is. Every extra moment with this girl is priceless, and VEG gave me time I didnt think I'd be getting as soon as I knew her diagnosis at this age. THANK YOU VEG!!

Took great care of my pet! The staff is friendly and genuinely concerned about every animal. My furry toddler, Pepper, was seen promptly and remained comfortable the entire time. They let you know exactly what the plan is and the cost, plus any other options available. Makes a stressful visit just that much easier.

Absolutely massive shoutout post to VEG and their staff. Blown away at the level of care I received by the team there. I brought in my baby ball python that had a cloacal prolapse. This is the first time I’ve dealt with it, so I was terrified, and there were no exotic vets with availability. I was hesitant to bring him here, since I was doubting the level of experience they had with reptiles, and would’ve rather have brought him to a specialty clinic. But I am so glad I brought him here. Dr. DeZara was not only extremely knowledgeable and confident, but she even brought in a specialist to assist with the anesthesia (thank you Fortune for coming in and helping out.) He was handled with so much love and care, I am so extremely grateful. The techs and nurses were all so accommodating, they put him in a heating tank and put rick and Morty on an iPad for him. That blew my mind? I don’t think I’ve been to a vet that’s thought to put TV on for an animal (even though I’m sure he probably couldn’t have cared less, the thought of it made my heart want to burst). They did everything to ensure his comfort and handling through what was a very stressful time for him. They fixed and stitched him up, and then sent us on our way. He’s now recovering, with a follow up in 2 weeks at a hospital they referred me to. They took pictures and sent them to me, hopefully the one I’m including isn’t too graphic. Feeling very very grateful today.

We had an incredible experience with Dr. Rusch and Nurse Scott at Veg Animal er for pets of Flower Mound. Our dog developed a painful hotspot on her face, and we were really worried. Dr. Rusch was so attentive and knowledgeable, and Nurse Scott and the whole staff was incredibly kind and supportive and helped the process tremendously . We just got back tonight, and our pup is already on the mend! We can’t recommend them enough. Thank you for your excellent care!

We had an emergency with our dog and went to the Edgewater VEG for help. We were very impressed with Dr. Gadsen, Tiffany, and staff! All staff were warm, caring, and empathetic. They were quick to run tests, assess his health, and then give recommendations on the best care for our dog, Baca. Our dog spent a night there, then went home the next day. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They are awesome! We could also stay with our dog as much as we wanted, and could stop by whenever we liked. Highly recommend!

I had an exceptional experience at ERA VET. The entire team went above and beyond to care for both my dog Brody and I. Dr. Danielle Alleman and her team were both personable and answered all of my questions regarding next steps in my dogs treatment. Their genuine compassion and professionalism made a stressful situation so much easier and I truly felt like my dog was treated as their own. I would highly recommend them to any family member or friend.

Piggy backing on my husbands review because words cannot express the gratitude I have for this place. Everyone is amazing here and have a great compassionate team that will do everything they can to help your pet. Our Salty is 14 years old and did not think it was possible but they managed to get her better and return to her usual shenanigans. People with the bad reviews/comments about the cost, need to understand that this is AN EMERGENCY service. I understand times are tough for everyone but if you want/need the best care,it will be well worth it. Also the concept of being able to be with your pet the entire time is absolutely amazing and I cannot imagine going anywhere else now. Will recommend them to everyone!

They made sure we were all comfortable and even provided him a bed and blankets. The explanations from the doctor and the staff were very thorough and they answered all our questions. I would definitely recommend this place.

IMPRESSIVE! It was my first time going to veg and I was nervous since my cat had a fever. The space is spacious and clean. I was greeted at the front desk and rapidly escorted to a table where a nurse came to check my cat. Doctor Chavez prepared an estimate and since I was a little hesitant with one of the exams because of the price, nurse Melanie helped by figuring out a way of still getting the treatment but closer to my budget. I felt very supported and understood while my cat got everything he needed. Highly recommend VEG. They take your pets situation seriously. While I was waiting, a dog came in needing CPR and everyone on the floor rushed with urgency and professionalism.

This place is great! I drove 6 house to get here with my pet, and WE were treated as royalty. We were informed every step of the way. All treatment was explained to us in detail. The staff was constantly checking on our pet, as well as on us. SUPER friendly staff. We were there for 24 hours, all staff was great! Would highly recommend. This is their motto, and is all 100% true.

I brought my cat in during a stressful situation, and overall the team at VEG ER took great care of her. The staff was kind, attentive, and it was clear they genuinely care about the animals they treat, which made a difficult moment much easier. Everything was handled professionally, and I felt confident my pet was in good hands while we were there. I also appreciated the support and guidance provided for her care afterward. Overall, I’m grateful for the care my pet received and would consider using them again in an emergency.

The team was amazing throughout the entire process. They went above and beyond our expectations. We brought in Charizard our crested gecko who had a hemipenis prolapse. Most people would think it’s just a lizard but their compassion and process was one of a kind and something my partner and I have never experienced before. Allowing us to be with him the entire time, having an open layout that allows for all pet parents to be there through out every moment and even offering us a bed to stay and get some rest while our little guy recovered. My partner and I were considering euthanizing due to the cost of the procedure. (In our experience with other vets if we could not afford the procedure we were forced to either surrender or euthanize). We were just heart broken with this through. But the team comforted us through every decision and truly helped us financially to save our little guy by dramatically reducing the cost and relieving that burden. A huge shout out to China who answered my call and comforted us throughout the entire process. To Jess and Dr.Rivera who took amazing care of Charizard. They both were so compassionate and helped us out with our decisions. Giving us options and how to best support him and truly went beyond by helping us by reducing the financial burden. This team is truly amazing during this difficult time. We will forever be grateful and will definitely be coming back for any emergency, and telling our friends and families about VEG ER for Pets! Thank you guys again for everything!

When my 13-year-old dog became seriously ill and was referred here by our vet, I was terrified. She was in a DKA state, severely dehydrated, and not eating. In all her years, I had never been through an emergency hospital visit with her before, and I felt completely overwhelmed walking through the doors. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated both of us with such kindness and compassion. My dog spent 4 nights and 5 days in their care, and during that time, I never felt like I was just another worried pet owner. They supported me, answered my questions, and helped me feel as calm and informed as possible during one of the scariest experiences I’ve had with her. I was especially grateful for the open-concept layout of the hospital. Being able to stay near my dog and see the team working gave me so much comfort. It made the whole experience feel more transparent, human, and connected. I will always be thankful for the care, patience, and compassion shown to my girl when she needed it most. I’m equally grateful for the kindness and support they showed me as a pet owner during one of my most emotional and fragile moments. I will never forget that.

Wow, this facility is amazing. My dog and I just spent 2 nights here and I was constantly blown away by the thoughtfulness of the staff and the efficiency of the operation. The staff was so compassionate, kind, efficient, intelligent, communicative…I could go on. Not only did they take great care of my dog, but they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable by providing a bed, pillow, and blanket. I’ve been to other pet ERs and have worked in healthcare for a long time, and this place is top notch. I’ve never been somewhere where they let you stay with your pet the entire time, and man what a difference that made for both of us. Hopefully I never need their services again…but if I do there’s no question that I’ll choose VEG Pet ER in Pikesville. The doctors, nurses, and techs were all rockstars and I am forever grateful for them.

I brought my puppy in last month for vomiting blood and diarrhea. After imaging it showed he ate a diaper and needed to have surgery. I was at a lost I could afford to pay for my little puppers surgery and I tried everything to come up with the money and it wasn’t enough. The hospital helped me with the cost to save my pups life. After surgery I called them several times with in those first few days and each time they were patient with me and empathized with me. They treated my baby as their own. I am go grateful for them.

We had to bring our 12-year-old chocolate Lab to VEG today after she suddenly developed neurological symptoms, became confused, and could no longer stand or walk. It was an incredibly frightening and emotional situation for our family. What stood out immediately was the team’s compassion and urgency. We didn’t even make it to the door before staff noticed us, came outside, and helped transport our dog inside on a stretcher. From that moment on, every member of the team treated both our dog and our family with exceptional kindness, empathy, and respect. Throughout the visit, they took the time to explain every test, treatment option, and recommendation in a clear and transparent way. We never felt rushed or left wondering what was happening. They also provided upfront cost estimates and kept us informed throughout the entire process, which we greatly appreciated during such a stressful time. One of the most comforting aspects of our experience was being allowed to stay by our dog’s side the entire visit. That meant so much to us and helped keep our dog calm during a very difficult experience. The level of compassion, communication, and care we received was truly second to none. While we hope no pet owner ever has to face an emergency, we’re incredibly grateful that VEG was there when we needed them most. They made a scary and overwhelming situation much more manageable, and we cannot thank them enough.

We’ve always had great experiences here but really appreciate Dr Wilson seeing our Milo, a blind and deaf husky, for some ongoing tummy troubles. On a stormy night the Dr showed concern for safe travel for our fosters and once onsite outlined the plan, again taking into consideration the late hours of the fosters. He was easy to talk with and ask questions to & very knowledgeable. Just a really great experience overall plus he showed a lot of consideration for our rescue funds. Dr Wilson stands out but we find every experience at VEG to be similiar, filled with compassionate, knowledgeable people who care about pets AND the people who are taking care of the pets. Milo shown here snoozing away while waiting on his test results.

My boyfriend and I brought our puppy in as he had swallowed one of my earrings. We had a bad experience with a previous dog and Blue Pearl so we were on edge as expected. This ER was the best experience. They were very understanding and very kind and let you be with your baby. They also provide quotes before doing anything and charge less than most places. If I could give 10 stars I would! Thank you to all the people who helped us out.🩷

First of all, I would like to thank the Doctor and her team for being so kind and understanding and supportive with my cat that suddenly got sick. He was only eight months old and come to find out he had contacted PARVO and unfortunately, it was too far along to save him,. This place I couldn’t recommend more. They are kind, They are understanding and they helped with lowering the cost of the procedures they’ve done, as I am a single mom with two kids. I couldn’t have asked for better than what I received. I highly recommend this place. They work with you in every possible way. You are in the room and able to see everything going on the way it’s laid out is amazing.. You’re there with your pet the whole time, even to the very end. They have options cremating your beloved pet either taking thier ashes home or having their ashes spread in the sea, where you can watch on the Internet live when it happens, , which is the choice we took and I’m so happy that we’re able to be involved when that happens. I will not go anywhere else after experiencing, the love and the support I got from these ladies they are truly a gift from God. As hard as it was to see my little Vader fall asleep forever, they made the transition as peaceful and as caring and as loving and as supportive than I could ever imagine.! this place is truly one of a kind and I couldn’t have asked for a better place. Thank you again ladies your truly are amazing caring souls!

My two doggies got into some human medication and we needed to have them looked at asap. After speaking with ASPCA poison control, we took them over to VEG on Ralph Avenue. We were greeted by friendly staff when we came in . This was very consoling for me. After weigh in they took us into a room . I gave all the pertinent information I'd written down with the poison control number. This helped with check in process. We were there for a few hours. Dr Anderson went over a couple of options and she gave honest opinion of which course of action to take. We went with that route. It's the next day and my two doggies are 100% their normal self and getting into things.

My Frenchie, Romeo, developed a sudden, severe ear infection overnight. While we were walking, he began screaming in pain and shaking his head uncontrollably. Being in Kingman, AZ, on a Saturday night with no vets open was heartbreaking and terrifying; I felt completely powerless watching him suffer through a night of whining and crying. As a truck driver, I was incredibly relieved to find this 24/7 hospital along my route in Henderson, NV, on Sunday morning. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredible. Dr. Lorenza Malaguti is truly amazing, she is skilled, caring, and showed so much love towards Romeo. The nurses were equally attentive and clearly passionate about their patients. Unfortunately I forgot the name of the nurses helping Romeo. It is now Monday night, and Romeo is already back to his happy self running, jumping, and pain-free! He’s even back to doing what he loves most: destroying cardboard boxes! I am beyond grateful for the service here. I didn’t mind the wait at all; I saw other owners coming in with even more serious emergencies and was happy to wait while they were helped (that definitely tells you that the staff prioritizes emergencies correctly, which is a sign of a well-run hospital). They took amazing care of my baby, and that is what matters most. Also, a quick tip for other Frenchie owners: These dogs require specific care and the bills can add up fast. I’m so glad I have pet insurance and highly recommend it to others!

Drove an hour here for emergency care because the emergency vet closest to me is deplorable. The staff at VEG was caring and very sweet. They were also very thorough about everything. They even brought my boy a bed and blankie while we waited for x-ray results. It is expensive (as all emergency vet care is), and it took a while due to the triage nature of the facility, but the staff here is truly amazing. I definitely recommend.

They made one of the hardest moments of our lives feel a little more bearable for our sweet Rosie. From the moment we arrived, they saw her immediately and gently helped us understand that she wasn’t in a good place. We had a feeling something was wrong, but hearing it confirmed was surreal and incredibly difficult. The staff walked us through every option with patience and kindness, giving us the space and clarity we needed to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go. The care and compassion they showed our family was truly a gift. They treated Rosie with such tenderness and dignity, and they made her final hours as peaceful and special as they could be. We will always be grateful for the empathy, support, and respect they gave us during such an emotional time.

I am so incredibly glad I brought my pup here when I did. He was drooling excessively, vomiting, having diarrhea, and wasn't sure if he was going to make it. The nurses and doctors here are compassionate and attentive and it's clear they are passionate for what they do. Even while dealing with other pets passing and multiple high risk situations, they all kept their composure and did an amazing job and saved my pup's life. I will always be grateful for that. Something of note is that if you have insurance they will reimburse but everything is out of pocket initially, but it was well worth the money spent. Highly recommend.

Yep, emergency care is expensive and time consuming… but if you’re going to spend the money, this is a great place to do it! We were waiting on a bench overnight, which was fine. The center is a giant open room! The operating room has a big window so you can see inside and many of their procedure tables are right in the middle of the room where you can see everything that’s happening to your pet. I loved it! Transparency is important to them! Being with my pet through everything is important to me! We ended up being admitted and they let me stay in the kennel with him and eventually got us into a room with a fold out bed where we could both rest. Being with him helped him relax and rest. The providers are very kind, accommodating, and there are free snacks, coffee and water. It’s a little thing but when you’ve been awake for more than 24 hours, it means a lot! Definitely recommend highly!

Exceptional care for my 20 year old very sick cat. They were so attentive and comforting during the whole process of saying goodbye. I can’t thank the team at Veterinary Emergency Group enough for the amazing care they gave my 4-month-old Frenchie, Minnie. I had an exceptional experience at VEG Emergency Vet Hospital in Carle Place, NY and am so grateful for the care my dog, Shea, received. Dr. Schwartz, Dr. Cha, and the whole team were outstanding during her cystotomy. Their expertise, clear communication, and calm approach gave me so much confidence during a very stressful time. What truly sets this hospital apart is their compassionate, pet-and-owner-centered care. I was able to stay by Shea’s side the entire time and even spend the night with her in a private room, with a couch so I could sleep right next to her. That meant everything to me. Every member of the staff was kind, attentive, and highly skilled. It’s clear they genuinely care about both their patients and their families. We were greeted BEFORE we entered and escorted in. As we entered, several hurriedly approached, one taking our information and one taking Gracie’s vitals.
