everyone at this hospital loves animals and humans everyone that helped on my cat, billy's case especially all three doctors that were on his case. They have an amazing loving staff day and night and an amazing team it was hard on everyone and they were so loving and caring and kind with me and especially my boy there was ups and down on his health and that god he made it out but regardless he was in such good hands i never once stressed about how they were handling him and caring for him thank you all so much again sending much love from my cat billy and I. I'd also like to add your allowed to stay with your pet as long as you want and can even sleep there. And the doctors really take their time to explain to you EVERY LITTLE thing so you feel included and they help you understand everything even the anatomy of your animal your even allowed to watch the surgeries and be close to your animal you will never once feel left out.

I've had to take my babies here on multiple occasions and the staff has always been caring, attentive, and supportive of mine and my babies needs. The team communicates well and always had proper patient care, with the best treatments in mind. I want to give a huge thanks to Dr. Manning, Dr. Riddick, and every staff member who helped when my cat’s health took a sharp turn. I brought my 10 month old kitten to VEG last week when he got sick and our regular vet couldn’t see him, and I’m so so thankful for the compassion and care from everybody who works there. I was able to bring him back within 24 hours for no extra exam fee where the staff determined that he should stay overnight for treatment. They talked me through what procedures they would be doing and presented different payment options as well. I was also allowed to either stay with him overnight or come and visit whenever. They helped me get life-saving medicine through Chewy, and overall I was just so grateful for our experience. The overnight staff even made a cute little name tag for my cat, and made sure he was comfortable through what was surely his scariest experience in life. I’m sitting here now watching him be his crazy self again, when just a week ago he wouldn’t even lift his head to look at me. Thank you VEG for everything!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot say enough amazing things about VEG Allen and the entire team, especially Dr. Brown and the Monday night shift team (7/20). Our local urgent care veterinarian referred us to VEG after my dog, Koe, swallowed a corn cob. They had already attempted to induce vomiting without success, so after an almost hour-long drive, we arrived a little after 10:00 PM. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with smiles and immediately brought back. The hospital itself is unlike any emergency vet I’ve ever seen. Being able to stay with your pet throughout the process or see them at all times even if they required a procedure made an incredibly stressful situation so much more comforting. The team first tried a stronger medication to induce vomiting, but unfortunately the corn cob still didn’t come up. Dr. Brown sat down with me and thoroughly explained our options: endoscopy or surgery. She answered every question I had, never made me feel rushed, and had such a calm, reassuring presence that immediately put me at ease during one of the most stressful nights I’ve had as a pet owner. After talking with my husband, we chose to move forward with an endoscopy since it was less invasive, more cost-effective, and offered a quicker recovery. By the time bloodwork was complete, it was after midnight, and now my birthday. Spending my birthday at an emergency animal hospital definitely wasn’t how I imagined celebrating. Unfortunately, the endoscopy was unsuccessful because of where the corn cob was lodged. Once again, Dr. Brown patiently walked me through our options. She even told us we could have our regular veterinarian perform the surgery the next day if cost was a concern. After another conversation with my husband, we decided to move forward with surgery at VEG because, despite only knowing Dr. Brown for about three hours, I trusted her completely. I was able to watch through the OR window as Dr. Brown successfully removed the corn cob. During surgery, I mentioned to one of the nurses that it was my birthday. When Dr. Brown came out after surgery to tell me everything had gone well, she wished me a happy birthday and said she was sorry this was how I was spending it. That simple kindness meant so much. I stayed until Koe woke up from anesthesia before heading home around 4:00 AM. Before I left, Dr. Brown told me she would personally call with an update between 7:00 and 8:00 AM. At exactly 8:00 AM, my phone rang. She let me know Koe was doing great, explained the plan for the day, and said that if he continued eating well, he could come home that evening. When we returned that night to pick him up after my birthday dinner, I walked over to Koe’s kennel and immediately burst into tears. The staff had decorated his kennel with a Happy Birthday banner, put a birthday headband on Koe, bought cupcakes, a little plant, and a birthday card for me. After such an emotional, exhausting 24 hours running on almost no sleep, that thoughtful gesture was beyond anything I could have ever expected and meant more to me than words can express. The medical care we received was exceptional, but what truly sets VEG apart is the compassion, empathy, and humanity of every single person we encountered. They treated Koe like he was their own, and they treated me with so much kindness during an extremely stressful time. Dr. Brown and the entire Monday night team, you are all absolutely incredible. Thank you for saving my sweet boy and for turning what could have been one of the worst birthdays into one I’ll never forget for all the right reasons. To the VEG leadership team: if you read these reviews, please know that Dr. Brown and the Monday night staff deserve every bit of recognition. They are an incredible group of professionals who exemplify what emergency veterinary medicine should be. I sincerely hope we never have another emergency, but if we do, I will gladly drive an hour back to VEG Allen without hesitation. I will also recommend VEG to every pet owner I know. Really appreciate this place. A trip to the emergency vet is never fun or cheap, but this ER does what they can to make your pet and you more comfortable. I appreciated the open concept, seeing rounds and understanding the triaging process, and getting to be with my cat even during procedures. I'm also grateful for the overnight room where I was able to sleep with my cat on my lap for a few hours while we were waiting. Staff also provided snacks, drinks, and phone chargers. Every employee, from front desk to assistants to LVTs to doctors, is good at their job, and I hope they're well-compensated. Thanks for helping Lexi feel better.

I absolutely love VEG! They have an amazing staff. Each time we went the staff members were so calm and professional. Any time we’ve had emergency situations with our dog, we only trusted them with handling her. My Great Pyrenees is reactive and she isn’t fond of new people, but they were so sweet and understanding with her. We made it work and she got the best care. They have blankets, snacks, and drinks available as you wait which is comforting. I highly recommend VEG. 10/10

As a veterinary technician for general practice, I was absolutely blown away by the kindness, caring, comforting staff from the second I walked in and was greeted by Gabbie who was absolutely an angel to me my entire visit. I had to rush my 14 year-old diabetic senior dog over there late at night because he declined very quickly and was not well. I did end up doing tests and ultimately euthanized him. I was devastated and heartbroken. But having caring souls around you at a time like that, REALLY MADE A DIFFERENCE AND I CANT STRESS HOW IMPORTANT THAT IS!! During my stay , everyone was hands on with not only Dennis, but ME. They were prompt , hands on, transparent , efficient, professional but also personable people. All of you. I especially want to acknowledge the names that I remember who worked with me and Dennis that night- Gabbie❤️Dr Tiffani ❤️Maddie ❤️Sam ❤️Jess ❤️Floyd. You all made a huge difference and continue to do so whether you are a CSR, technician , veterinarian - you all matter. Thank you from the botttom of my heart

VEG was absolutely amazing and incredibly compassionate during one of the hardest moments I've experienced. My dog had been hit by a car, and I was completely overwhelmed, but the entire team helped me through the process with so much care and kindness. The nurse who cared for us was exceptional. She was comforting, patient, understanding, and incredibly gentle with both my dog and my emotions. She took the time to thoroughly explain everything and answered every question I had in a way that made me feel informed and supported. I wish I had gotten her name because she truly made such a difficult experience a little easier. I hope I never have another emergency, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to come back to VEG. They have an outstanding team, and I'm so grateful for the compassion and care they showed us when we needed it most. Gilbert and I left with a smile!

I am incredibly grateful to the team at Emergency Vet Group for the compassion, professionalism, and urgency they showed when my service dog, Jeremy, was brought to their clinic after a tragic accident. On May 7, 2026, Jeremy was struck by a vehicle. My boyfriend and I rushed him to the clinic, hoping they could save him. As soon as we arrived, approximately seven or eight veterinary staff members immediately rushed to Jeremy's aid. Their quick response and dedication were evident from the moment we walked through the door. Despite their best efforts, Jeremy's injuries were too severe, and he sadly passed away. I know the veterinary team did everything they could to save my baby, and I will always be thankful for the care they provided during his final moments. Jeremy was more than a pet—he was my service animal, my companion, and a huge part of my life. Losing him has been devastating. Throughout the entire experience, the staff treated him with dignity and respect and showed me genuine compassion during one of the hardest days of my life. I cannot thank the doctors, technicians, and staff enough for their kindness, professionalism, and dedication. While the outcome was not what I had hoped for, I take comfort in knowing that Jeremy was surrounded by people who cared and who fought to help him. Thank you, Emergency Vet Group, for everything you did for Jeremy and for the compassion you showed me when I needed it most. I will always be grateful. ❤️🐾

Last week, after getting home from an evening event, we noticed our 17-year-old Chiweenie acting weird. To save the gore, it was apparent in the next couple of hours that he was declining very fast. Knowing he would not make it through the night and fearing him being in pain, we looked for an open overnight vet, VEG came up and had a really good reputation, and I’ve heard of them before from other friends and colleagues. Not too far away (Pflugerville) so we drove over to the Arboretum at 1 AM. My wife was afraid of saying goodbye to our old man in a sterile room with a metal table… We walked in and it’s a very different experience! Everything is right in front of you. They knew we were coming in, ushered us into a quiet room with two chairs and a shag carpet and dim lights. It was extremely comfortable and inviting and calm. Caitlin was our technician that evening, she was an absolute rockstar! Very sympathetic and professional. Even though we’ve experienced a loss with a close friend’s dog, they still made sure we understood everything that was coming ahead. They gave us plenty of time to say goodbye and we’re very supportive during the process. When we were ready, the doctor came in and visited with us and put our old man to rest. He lived a good, long life, outside of expiring very quickly that evening, this is the best possible way for him to have gone out. VEG provided and unparalleled experience in our time of loss and grief. They deserve 11 stars!

I cannot express my gratitude for the staff here. My Betty got into a bag of tums and Advil and was admitted for an overnight stay. They kept calm the entire time and were so friendly is made me feel so much more secure. Betty has now been home for almost a week and is back to herself. Everyone from the doctors to the front desk staff were amazing. And the warm cookies?! Are you kidding?! I wish the human ER was like this.

This place ROCKS!!! I brought my cat 5050 in for a foxtail in her eye and they did the deed. Reasonable fees. I’ve been doing TNR ferals for 30-ish years. I have to say this place is the nicest I’ve ever been to. And a week later her follow up showed she is 100% good to good. Rocket crew at VEG. I’m so glad I’m a VEGetarian~ 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

10/10 recommend VEG when your pet is ill. they sit on the floor with you and your pet - it’s a little thing but it makes all the difference when your dog is in crisis. Both of our dogs, honey bear and care bear (one old girl and one pup), received wonderful emergency treatment with this group. They even sent a card to us when our sweet honey bear passed. The vet techs and vets were very communicative, professional and knowledgeable. They were so good with our skeptical little cattle dog. Thank you VEG! Hope we don’t have to see you soon, but we’re happy to know you’re there for us :)

I cannot thank the staff at the emergency veterinary hospital enough for the kindness, compassion, and care they showed Ellie and me during one of the hardest moments of my life. When Ellie arrived, they immediately took her into their care and treated her with urgency, kindness, and professionalism. Every member of the staff was gentle, compassionate, and truly cared about her well-being. Even though the outcome was not what I had prayed for, I will always be grateful that Ellie was surrounded by people who treated her with dignity, love, and respect. The day she passed away, I was completely devastated. I was in such deep shock and grief that I walked out without asking for paperwork or any keepsakes. I wasn’t thinking clearly I had just lost my best friend. In the days that followed, I received two separate packages from your team. The first contained her ashes along with a beautiful clay paw print. A few days later, I received another package with a heartfelt sympathy card, a lock of her fur, and additional paw prints. Those thoughtful gestures meant more to me than words can express and have become treasured memories of my sweet girl. Losing Ellie has been one of the most painful experiences of my life, but the kindness and compassion your team showed during that difficult time brought me comfort when I needed it most. Thank you for treating Ellie with such care and for showing such incredible compassion to a grieving pet parent. I will never forget it.

Had an emergency for a kitten left by mama in the rain at 5am today, called them and sent by husband by. They helped IMMEDIATELY and were incredibly kind 🥹 Husband says the place was clean and extremely professional looking. The person that answered the phone was quick and very sweet. 10/10 Staff asked for the coloring of the kitten out of pure interest, included is her photo below.

I wish this animal emergency was open before my other dog passed away. You are able to stay with your pet throughout much of the time. Everything is open and transparent and the staff is very empathetic towards all concerns. All questions answered. The prices are not on the low end but I do not believe i was overcharged, as this is a 24 hour emergency hospital. What a great peace of mind to know there is this kind of care day or night for our animals. Everything is comfortable and yiu can stay with your pet the whole time! Tbe restroom is very clean! Hopefully it stays like that! They have snacks and beverages for the humans. We never want to have to have these visits but just know they are there for our animal babies! Five stars all the way!!

We came to VEG pet hospital and it was amazing! Not only did we get seen right away but they were so fast, kind and unbelievably fantastic. This clinic took less than 2 hours to get the exam and X-rays. They made sure the dog was comfortable the whole time and communicated with us about everything. I was very pleased with this place after the nightmare I had to deal with. After 9+ hours and a long night at a terrible pet clinic, who ended up not helping us at all, VEG did everything and more! I would come here for any pet emergencies now. Totally worth the drive.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff here and the treatment my cat Harper received. It always seems that pet emergencies happen on the weekend. My vet does not offer Sat/Sun hours and the other local vet didn't have any appointments. Since it was a urinary blockage emergency I headed to VEG Biscayne Blvd. I am SO glad I did!! We were taken right into the clinic area and immediately examined. I was provided a complete explanation of what the issue was and given a written estimate of the charges. Yes, they were expensive, but I cannot say more than anywhere else. However, the treatment and access I had to Harper and the treatment he received throughout the procedure were unprecedented. I was able to be with him and observe the entire surgery where Dr. Basit talked me through everything. I stayed until he was fully awake from his anesthesia and comfortable in the crate. I am certain the 24 hour care he received allowed him to make a full recovery in just one day and he has been perfect since. I believe their care not only gave Harper the best possible outcome in the shortest amount of time, in the end it also reduced the overall cost. I will always recommend VEG, Dr. Basit and nurses Beatriz, Kiera and assistant Stella - they gave us the best service I have ever experienced in my 40 years of pets.

Our experience at VEG was nothing short of amazing. I brought my AiChan “Chi chi” in at the recommendation of our vet. She had recently been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes the week before. She was lethargic, refusing to eat, peeing and drinking a lot. We had not received our insulin yet and local Costco was on back order. From the moment we stepped foot in the door we were welcomed and taken to a room right away. The staff interaction with me and her was comforting. Chi chi stayed with them from Wednesday to Friday night. I received updates regularly on her status and felt reassured knowing she was doing well. I was also welcome to come at any time to visit. I loved the fact that I could stay with her the whole time if I wanted. Being that I had never administered insulin before they took the time to teach me how. Before leaving they cleaned her well, made sure we had everything. The staff and doctors were all so attentive and caring. I could feel the love they have for our pets. Thank you all for making our experience during such a stressful time comfortable and loving for her. Side note: thank you for shaving her and making sure her new “fur-cut” didn’t look crazy 😉
