I cannot say enough good things about this place. From the frantic first phone call to walking out the door, I have never experienced such care, compassion, and kindness. The team were fast yet thorough, exceedingly compassionate and gentle, with skilled and knowledgeable hands. Unfortunately it was our girls time to pass and the team were just wonderful to us. The facility has a dedicated room for time to be with your family in a private setting for saying goodbyes. The financial side was a little steep. However, I will say it was worth every penny because oh how skilled, compassionate, and comfortable they made the experience. To the team working the early morning of July 3rd, thank you. Worlds can’t express our gratitude.

We took our 16yo lab in on a Friday night. From the person who greeted us to our tech to our vet, I cannot overstate how kind and empathetic everyone was. It was wonderful for our family to be with Lucy the whole time. The fee was extremely reasonable for emergency care. Highly recommended!

We brought our dog in on a Sunday morning after being bit by another dog and the entire staff here were phenomenal from the second we arrived to the moment we left. They were attentive, compassionate, understanding and accommodating. All procedures were discussed and we were made sure we knew what was going to happen and why. I wanted to hug everyone before we left. Thank you all for taking care of our girl.

Dr.Rogers is an amazing veterinarian and all his Nurses on night shift 03/18/2026!!! My cat had a urinary obstruction and was so sick and lethargic as soon as I brought him in they immediately put him on a triage bed and took genuine care! The authenticity and genuine empathy and compassion is unmatched to any other vet services I have ever been to !! My kitty Fito had a urinary Catheterization to release his bladder and prescribed amoxicillin and gabapentin for after care and prescribed food we left about 4 hrs after his procedure. While I would recommend staying for hospitalization because that can be life saving and I wish I could have I absolutely didn’t have the finances . So now Day 2 after surgery his life is better he has started urinating and he is happy boy again ! I might add the nurses were the kindest loving on him and being the sweetest. No matter what happens in the future I am just grateful he was able to receive this care and work within budget. I would recommend to anyone ! Please bring your pet here if you have any doubts just go!

This place is the best if your fur baby needs help! Our 14 year old dog Izzy had been there before but last night she had a medical emergency from having multiple seizures from her epilepsy. My daughter and I decided it was time to let her go and rest in peace. Despite being busy, they made us feel like we were the only ones there. The entire staff was so kind, helpful and supportive and the doctor was on the floor with us and our dog until she took her last breath.

I was told by my primary vet to take me dog to the ER in Papillion after he was neutered and developed a hematoma that was progressively getting worse. A friend of mine told me that VEG ER (which is much closer) had just opened up so I called them. They asked what was going on with my dog and I explained his situation. They told me that the only thing the ER vet could really do is advise me to ice my dog’s area for 15 minutes at a time until the swelling goes down and continue with the meds my primary vet prescribed. They offered to still take a look at him just to confirm. I brought him in, they assessed him and confirmed their decision and went over my home care instructions. My dog still had a catheter in him and they removed it. They even gave me ice packs to use on him at home. They could’ve charged me for an exam but they did all this free of charge! They told me if things continued to get worse to bring him back in but spared me the exam fee and told me how to manage things at home. I appreciated their honesty, level of care and pure kindness they offered me especially knowing they weren’t charging me anything. I hope I don’t need to, but if I need ER pet services in the future I will absolutely be taking my boys there!

I am blown away by the level of care and empathy during my visit. I took my cat in and was promptly seated in the triage area where I was able to stay with my pet the entire time. During all of the tests and treatments, I was able to stand by and watch as the doctors worked, it was so comforting to be able to see what was happening. The only time I was separated from my cat was when they took her in to get XRAYs, and even then I was able to watch through the window. Throughout my visit, I was checked on by the staff and was made sure I was comfortable, even offering me snacks and drinks. I am now home with a happy cat. Thank you VEG!

I brought in my reactive pit bull mix baby. The staff were wonderful with accommodating us and making sure we all felt comfortable. They even gave us fresh homemade cookies for myself and boyfriend. My doggie Blu was treated with love and kindness by all the staff. Definitely recommend coming here for any emergency for your loved ones.

Upon entering, my dog was able to be seen in under a minute. I was involved in the entire process and the staff was so kind and compassionate. The techs made sure I was ok and rubbed my back as I received my dog’s cancer diagnosis and made sure I was comfortable and made me coffee while I waited. I have never encountered such kindness at a vet before. The doctor was direct and kind and came up with a realistic plan for keeping my pet comfortable for the duration of of her illness with no pressure do unnecessary treatments or expenses. I have already recommended this office to my friends and family and will continue to do so.

I can’t thank them enough for saving my dog, Tohru. She was hit by a car, and they took great care of her by quickly diagnosing what was wrong and helping her heal. She had to be hospitalized for 24 hours, and they allowed me to stay with her the entire time. They set us up in our own room with a bed and continued monitoring her until they gave us the all clear to go home. I’m so incredibly thankful for them. They are an amazing group of people, and everyone I interacted with was so kind and compassionate.

I would like to highly recommend and thank the emergency animal hospital VEG ER in White Plains on Tarrytown Road. My newly adopted cat needed emergency care for a surprise bladder issue on Sunday morning and again on Monday night. The vets, vet techs and staff there were so amazing and our boy got the best care. Please visit them if your pet needs emergency care. I was blown away by their thorough care and extremely good bed side manners and kindness with humans and animals. You can tell these people love animals and their jobs. Also please keep Rubio in your prayers for continued healing. Thanks! Before and after pictures thanks to VEG ER in White Plains! This VET hospital saved my beautiful kitty’s life. The Veterinarians are very skilled, they can run IV lines, they can do great assessments, and they care about animals. I brought in my kitty Rainbow because she was injured. I found out the cause of her injuries sitting at the VET hospital. While I was watching cameras in the house I saw she was abused and that led to her being transferred to Tufts for proper treatment. Her treatment was for hemorrhage of the brain, lacerations, and swelling. My ex-husband is being charged with animal cruelty and my 2 cats are both safe and loved. I cannot thank this place enough for holding onto my Luna (Rainbows sister) while I was looking for a safe place to place them. Everything has been better and my rainbow and Luna are cuddling with me, eating a lot, head bumping and licking me, and adjusting to the new environment. Thank you so much for savings my baby’s lives. These 2 cats are like children to me. I love them so much.

I recently had to take my cat to the emergency room, and I was so impressed with the care they provided. The staff was incredibly attentive and compassionate, both towards my cat and to me. They explained everything clearly, and I felt reassured knowing she was in such good hands. I'm so grateful for their expertise and kindness during a stressful time.

IMPRESSIVE! It was my first time going to veg and I was nervous since my cat had a fever. The space is spacious and clean. I was greeted at the front desk and rapidly escorted to a table where a nurse came to check my cat. Doctor Chavez prepared an estimate and since I was a little hesitant with one of the exams because of the price, nurse Melanie helped by figuring out a way of still getting the treatment but closer to my budget. I felt very supported and understood while my cat got everything he needed. Highly recommend VEG. They take your pets situation seriously. While I was waiting, a dog came in needing CPR and everyone on the floor rushed with urgency and professionalism.

I'm blown away by how great this vet in the photo was. She saved my pet sitting client's dog's life. When I brought the dog in she was knocking on death's door. They moved so quickly and saved her life. Also your front desk lady on April 18th at 9am was fantastic. This place is 20 million times better than the other emergency vet on H Street.

We had a sick stray kitten that we were trying to help and after calling a few different emergency vets, VEG was one of the only places with capacity to take them in. The staff over the phone were absolutely amazing and were willing to answer all my questions especially after I was worried that my own cats may be in danger of catching what the kitten may have had. In person, the staff only continued to be absolutely wonderful and took great care of us while we waited. They were able to take in the sick stray kitten and I know that he is going to be in the best of hands. The facility is super clean and has a lot of spaces for families to wait. They also have small drinks and snacks available in case you need them while waiting for your little guy to get checked out. I am hoping to not have to use an emergency vet service any time soon, but VEG is location that I will keep in mind if needed.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THEM. I’ve been raving about them every day to people. On Friday 5/15 my cat was showing obvious discomfort with signs of a urinary issue. Our primary wouldn’t be open long enough to do a procedure and recommended we go to Veg in Allen. We live in Wylie, but after speaking to them on the phone (extremely kind and informative) I decided to go to them. I’ve never seen an open concept vet before, it was interesting- I don’t mind either way as long as orange boys healthy. LET ME TELL YOU - they were so sweet, every single nurse and doctor, to my child and myself on top of our cat. We were there during a busy time of day, so waiting was to be expected and they were so accommodating and offered us some snacks to munch on while waiting for availability to do the procedure. I watched parts of the procedure for my cats urinary block, got to ask questions, learn, I actually had a good time. Didn’t expect that! Of course, a 2 day hospitalization would be best for my cats needs but I couldn’t afford it. They went over the feasible options for me and were sure to tell me the benefits of each thing on the list and risks of taking him home but were doing their best to ensure he would be as healthy as possible. They took their time during the procedure, other nurses came up and offered to assist or just watch. You can tell they love to be there. I cannot say enough good words about them. He is doing well 5 days later🧡 thank you!!

Even though they claim to specialize in more conventional pets like cats and dogs, they nonetheless did a fantastic job at removing cabbage from my bearded dragon's throat. The facility was very clean and well organized, and we were able to see everything that was happening. I hope I never have to come here again, but I know he'll be in good hands if we do.

I cannot say enough good things about VEG ER for Pets. I brought my dog here after a rough 36 hours of severe vomiting and diarrhea, and we were seen within an hour. The entire staff was incredibly kind and empathetic. What stood out the most was how accommodating they were—they actually encouraged me to stay right with her and treated her right in the waiting area because that’s where she felt the most comfortable, even though they had treatment rooms available. As someone who works in marketing, the only tiny critique I could give is that a follow-up call the next day would have been a great touch since it’s so standard now—but honestly, that doesn't change the 5-star experience. The only thing that truly matters is that they took amazing care of my girl and fixed her up. Thank you, VEG team!

This is one of the best veterinary experiences I have ever had. All of the staff here are phenomenal, caring, and respectful. My dog Rufio is very high maintenance. He is reactive to other dogs, barks loudly at everything, and does not sit still for treatments. However, he is my special boy and I want the best care for him-he got that and more!! The staff were so understanding, patient, and accommodating, and they treated him like he was the greatest dog that ever came in for care. We were seen IMMEDIATELY and his treatment was thorough and prompt. Everyone kept approaching him to give him love and comfort, which gave me a lot of comfort as well. Everything was clearly explained to me and I felt extremely confident in his care. I was in tears when I brought Rufio in, but I left with a heart full of gratitude. My Rufio is back home where he belongs: snuggling with his brother. I cannot thank the staff enough, especially Dr. Carter, Teyahna, Ella, and Regina.

My pet cat was quite ill. We were seen quickly and all the staff members were wonderful. They seemed to be working together well. We were seen quickly, my cat was assessed and treated quickly and appropriately. We were able to go home in a couple hours with a diagnosis and treatment that worked well. My cat was less than impressed with the temperature taking and suprapubic urine draw. My husband and I, human health care providers, were very pleased with the care. I let him sit on the deck with supervision the next day. We were surprised by the open concept treatment area. We saw so many sweet animals and we were praying for all of them. If we ever need ER vet care again, we are driving straight to VEG.

Dear Dr. McMurray, Dr. Hetrick, Dr. Salzbrenner, Gretta, Ashley, and Lance’s entire care team:: Thank you for saving Lance’s life. Your knowledge, professionalism, kindness, and extraordinary care exceeded my expectations. Dr. McMurray, thank you for calling during your time off with the radiologist's results. Your proactive communication and seamless handoff to Dr. Hetrick ensured Lance was in great hands right when we arrived for his re-check and chest X-Rays. Dr. Hetrick was thorough and compassionate in her exam. We were so grateful to be admitted and to spend the night with Lance in a private room. Dr. Hetrick monitored him continuously over-night and when I woke up, Dr Salzbrenner and her nurse, Gretta, had been briefed and he was under their care. Dr. Salzbrenner’s diagnostic expertise and initiative in consulting with the specialists at ISU Small Animal Hospital secured his vital referral. Ashley safely drove Lance to ISU while Gretta expertly administered oxygen the entire trip. They waited for me in the parking lot and upon arrival gave me an update and ensure I knew where to go. Lance was already back in triage and receiving care before I arrived. Lance spent the next several days in the ICU, and without your expert diagnosis, dedicated care, and critical medical transport, I do not believe he would have survived. I cannot thank you all enough for ensuring he received the absolute best treatment. We are forever grateful, Jen

Unlike any veterinary experience I’ve had! I was so pleased a board certified radiologist did my dogs ‘s ultrasound and the veterinary technicians were fantastic as well doing the x-rays, taking blood samples and giving lots of love. The woman who checked me in at the front desk, couldn’t have been any nicer and so compassionate. Best of all I loved being with my dog through the entire process, right by her side instead of sitting in a lobby, waiting.

I cannot say enough amazing things about the team at VEG in Larkspur. At 3am, after calling multiple emergency vets throughout San Francisco and the greater Bay Area and being told there were no surgeons available, VEG stepped in and saved my dog’s life. Finn was in an extremely scary situation, and from the second we walked through the doors, the entire team treated him like their own. Dr. Donner and her surgical team were incredible — calm, confident, compassionate, and transparent through every step of an emergency surgery. After surgery, Dr. Walker and her team provided outstanding post-op care and monitoring. They kept me constantly updated, answered every question with patience and empathy, and made one of the most stressful nights of my life feel manageable. You can truly tell that every single person there deeply cares about both the animals and the families attached to them. Thank you, Dr. Donner, Dr. Walker, and the entire VEG staff for everything you did for Finn. We will never forget it.

We took our dog Lucas to VEG ER because of an accidental overdose of the medication he is on. The staff was wonderful. They promptly greeted us and attended to our pet. The doctor on duty, Jill Whitwell, examined him and determined that he was in no danger. I don't think I need to tell you that was a huge relief! She advised us to take him home and observe him and if he showed any signs of sickness to bring him back. Lucas is doing fine. Our since thanks to the staff of VEG ER. We highly recommend them if your family pet needs immediate medical attention.

Amazing staff!! I have never needed to bring my sweet boy Bruce to an ER vet before. I am so thankful that VEG was the one I visited. Our little dog’s paw was bleeding a lot. Took her in to VEG ER on Crenshaw without calling first. They immediately triaged her, diagnosed it was a broken nail and with some wait time was met by ER vet who quickly addressed my dog’s medical needs and sent estimate via text. Within minutes I approved procedure and our dog was taken care of in a caring, professional manner. Being a nervous dog mom I wish the staff members would not have talked about personal matters during the procedure but our dog was taken care of properly.

Sarahy was an amazing nurse while caring for Royce, always making sure he was comfortable and okay while gathering all the necessary information and triaging every detail. She even helped me cut the pills in half, which I truly appreciated; her care was truly 10/10. Dr. Wilson was also very gentle and comforting, helping Royce feel safe throughout the visit while taking the time to explain everything and answer all of my questions. They are truly amazing people who genuinely care about helping our fur babies. Both were very knowledgeable and made me feel completely at ease. I also want to thank Gabriel, who helped me over the phone and provided great guidance and key points. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely return if any emergency comes up. I highly recommend this place for your babies.

I'd definitely recommend them. My husky does do well at vets, so they allow you to stay with your fur baby the entire time, they have an open layout where staff comes to you so you aren’t stuck in a room. A great experience, the open triage and care area allows you to be with your pet through all phases of care, they do well to space out the owners pets. The doctors were great, though most of our time was with the nurses and they really stood out in their care, experience, compassion and kindness. So thankful to everyone who cared for my dog Loui during our 27 hour stay. From draining out is bloat, answering all my questions at 2am for when results came back for suggesting surgery, the surgery itself, the care taken in his recovery and then his discharge. All the love he received from everyone who worked there was truly heartwarming.

We are so grateful for the care our dog received at VEG when she suddenly passed out. It was a frightening experience, but everyone we encountered was kind, compassionate, and genuinely caring. The team treated our dog wonderfully and performed a thorough evaluation to determine the cause. They kept us informed every step of the way and made us feel confident that she was in the best hands. While she recovered on her own, the testing and evaluation gave us tremendous peace of mind that there wasn’t a more serious underlying issue. Thank you to everyone at VEG for your expertise, kindness, and exceptional care during a very stressful time.

I want to give a big shout out to this amazing animal hospital. I had a very sick pup and was in a bad situation. I called and explained my situation. They immediately took action and got my pup in asap. They made sure I was able to get her to their facility and everyone was super nice and very caring towards my pup and myself. I highly recommend Veg er to anyone who has a pet in need of medical attention. This place is the best I have ever encountered and they take the time even going out of their way to make sure your pet is well taken care of and the communication is awesome. Since I couldn't stay with my pup they called me with updates and pictures to assure me that she is in good hands and explained everything that was going on and their plan of action. I highly recommend this place.

I cannot thank the team at VEG Schaumburg enough for the incredible care they gave my dog Remy. From the moment we arrived everyone was so kind and welcoming. They treated both my dog and I with genuine care. After Remy’s surgery they allowed me to stay overnight with her so I could be by her side. They are open 24 hours, which is very convenient. The room set up for family’s including a sofa bed is very considerate. My Son was able to visit w us as well. I wish I remembered all of the team members names who constantly checked on us and answered all of our questions and made sure Remy was comfortable and safe. Dr. Chernock is genuinely compassionate. He had a lot of patience for me at such a stressful time. Dr. Carney performed surgery, she is a Rock 💫 Star. Dr. Chernock and Dr. Carney complement each other very well. Dr. Carson the anesthesiologist is hands down the best, effortlessly winsome. Shout out to Alexis, Shannon, Christel, and the rest of the amazing staff. I am beyond grateful. I had an exceptional experience at VEG Emergency Vet Hospital in Carle Place, NY and am so grateful for the care my dog, Shea, received. Dr. Schwartz, Dr. Cha, and the whole team were outstanding during her cystotomy. Their expertise, clear communication, and calm approach gave me so much confidence during a very stressful time. What truly sets this hospital apart is their compassionate, pet-and-owner-centered care. I was able to stay by Shea’s side the entire time and even spend the night with her in a private room, with a couch so I could sleep right next to her. That meant everything to me. Every member of the staff was kind, attentive, and highly skilled. It’s clear they genuinely care about both their patients and their families. VEG ran like a well oiled machine lubricated with compassion, care, teamwork. Everyone was engaged. No one seemed tired or irritated. We were there after midnight. There were several critical pets already there or that came in. They took precedence because my pup was not critical. However, I was made aware of the wait and why. We were checked on regularly and given wait time for labs & x-ray results. Hospitalization was handled the same way. And the day team was working with the same integrity and dedication. I will not hesitate to return or refer friends & family.

My boyfriend and I brought our puppy in as he had swallowed one of my earrings. We had a bad experience with a previous dog and Blue Pearl so we were on edge as expected. Veg ER was beyond awesome! They opened the door for us upon arrival. We were able to call ahead and speak first for them to triage her condition. . There’s an online option for client intake, which we utilized for expediency. Our dog was tended to on the floor with us present (where she was most comfortable) on top of a pad and blanket! They were informative, kind, and considerate. Once our dogs’s vitals were taken, and she was considered stable, they didn’t even charge us for anything! We are paying it forward for another patient’s family who needs financial help for care. We’ll call there first above all other places!
