VEG took phenomenal care of our dog. He was diagnosed with cancer earlier in the week at VEG, and within days he had to leave us. The team at VEG made him comfortable every step of the way and supported us throughout the process. I cannot say enough about how empathetic, kind, and caring this team truly is. I highly recommend them. They explained everything to us, our options, and what quality of life and his timeline looked like at diagnosis. At his passing, they assured us we were making the best decision for him. They cared for him and our family throughout the entire process. We are so grateful to VEG.

Our hen Linda found herself in a medical situation that had us rushing to Veterinary Emergency Group, right across from what we'll generously call a poorly attended remodeled shopping mecca — the Beverly Center. Not exactly where you expect to bring a chicken in Los Angeles, but here we are. From the moment we walked in, the warmth and professionalism of everyone in the room set the tone — calm, genuine, and reassuring. Dr. Harris was extraordinary — knowledgeable, compassionate, and completely unfazed by the fact that her patient had feathers. When she wasn't certain about something, she did what great doctors do — she called a colleague, who got a chicken specialist at UC Davis on the phone. That's not standard. That's exceptional. Rosalba was exceptional in every way — attentive and kind in a way that made a stressful situation feel manageable. And Renee handled billing and paperwork with such grace that even THAT part of the experience felt human. Ramon Romero, the Hospital Manager, was extremely welcoming and helpful when we asked who to contact for permissions to use footage filmed for our documentary. Linda, for her part, was utterly charmed by the staff who couldn't stop telling her how beautiful she is. In an upsetting situation, she was soothed by genuine adoration. As one should be. Why does the chicken cross the road? To find the heart where VEG lives. You don't expect a veterinary emergency facility to feel like family. VEG does. Five stars doesn't cover it.

This morning I brought my 2 year old cat in who vomited reddish watery liquid. I lost a cat suddenly when he was 2 years old in 2021 so this was a tough trip to make. The staff was amazing!! So kind and made me laugh a few times. Dr. Beckman was prompt, thorough and validated all my concerns. Even through my cat getting fluids and medication, not happy and let the techs know it too! 🤣 They all remained so calm and sweet to my little one. I hope I don't need to go back ever again but they will certainly be the place I do go if needed in the future. Thank you all SO SO much!!! Keep up the incredible work. Rue sends her love 🤣🐈‍⬛❤️

We took our dog penny here late into the night due to her leg pain. We ended up finding out she likely has a torn ligament and will need surgery. Our dog hates the vet so much and was not at all cooperative to getting shots to sedate her for the X-rays. The team at VEG was so understanding and accommodating despite her freaking out. She was a tough cookie to deal with, but Dr. Bogart and her team handled her with ease. Our poor dog was scared to death but they were so sweet and kind to her, helped settle her down and ultimately we were able to get the X-rays we needed. I wish we could go to them for the surgery she needs, but we will definitely be back for any emergency needs. I cannot recommend them more highly! Do not hesitate to bring your pet here, the team is lovely ❤️

Our little Yorkie got into some poison on a road trip. We first brought him to a very good small animal ER in TX, then drove through the night for further care close to home in Abq. I had not heard of VEG ER but found them in an online search. They had only been open for a few weeks, but already had many positive reviews. We pulled up at shift change on a Sat morning and even with the distractions of changing shifts and other animals coming in, we were treated efficiently and so compassionately. We LOVE the concept of staying with your pet through the whole procedure. Our guy needed blood drawn and at the other office he was taken away for the draw and it very difficult. Because we were able to help hold him and keep him calm at VEG ER, they were able to easily draw the blood that was needed and he was not stressed out. We had to come back for a few more blood draws and each time he walked happily and confidently in to the office. He doesn't even do that at his own vet (whom he loves!). Our experience with VEG ER at a very stressful time for us could not have been any better. We're so grateful that Albuquerque now has this option 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.

So grateful we have VEG in Woodbury. My dog had her first major ear infection that accelerated rapidly by the end of the day and the whole staff made the experience as good as an ER experience could be. My dog was well cared for and it was really lovely to see how much the staff cared about each family that came in. Also, the cost was not as high as I expected an ER visit to be. In these tough economic times, it’s a relief to know my dog could get the emergency help she needed at a cost that didn’t absolutely break the bank. Thank you so much to the amazing team at VEG.

this hospital is the best! they are quick, helpful and very friendly. the front desk staff was very friendly too. i am a student and i brought my dog joy at midnight and they helped me out so much with care. they have almost 5 stars review for a reason. thanks for the help i appreciate it so much it meant alot to me.

I cannot say enough good things about this emergency animal hospital and the incredible team that cared for my cat, LunaTic. When I brought her in, she was extremely ill—lethargic, running a high fever, and honestly fighting for her life. I'm convinced that if I had waited any longer, she would not have survived. From the moment I arrived, the compassion and professionalism of the staff were evident. The veterinarian and two assistants actually met me at the door and immediately began assessing LunaTic. They listened carefully as I explained her symptoms and history, then quickly outlined their diagnostic plan and provided a clear estimate of charges before proceeding. Once treatment began, they moved swiftly and thoroughly, performing lab work, X-rays, an ultrasound, and a urinalysis. After reviewing the results, the veterinarian carefully explained my options and helped me make an informed decision about LunaTic's care. What truly set this hospital apart was not only the exceptional care they provided to my cat, but also the kindness they showed me. They made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process and even offered me a bed and blankets if I wanted to stay overnight while LunaTic was hospitalized. During her X-rays and ultrasound, they allowed me to stay by her side to help keep her calm and comfortable. I chose to go home and rest because I knew she was in excellent hands. Throughout the night, the veterinarian called regularly with updates on her condition. As LunaTic improved, they kept me informed every step of the way until she was ready to come home. At discharge, they thoroughly reviewed all of her medications and explained exactly how to administer them. The facility itself is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and welcoming—even offering snacks for clients. I am beyond grateful for everything this team did to save LunaTic's life. She is doing so much better now, and while she's appreciative too, she has her own funny way of showing it! I highly recommend this emergency animal hospital to anyone facing a pet emergency. Their skill, compassion, communication, and dedication are truly outstanding.

Dr. Ellebracht and her team of rockstars nursed my pup back to health! They were so loving and kind. Very organized and were happy to answer my million questions I had as a concerned pet parent. Just incredible. Thank you so much VEG team.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot say enough amazing things about VEG Allen and the entire team, especially Dr. Brown and the Monday night shift team (7/20). Our local urgent care veterinarian referred us to VEG after my dog, Koe, swallowed a corn cob. They had already attempted to induce vomiting without success, so after an almost hour-long drive, we arrived a little after 10:00 PM. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with smiles and immediately brought back. The hospital itself is unlike any emergency vet I’ve ever seen. Being able to stay with your pet throughout the process or see them at all times even if they required a procedure made an incredibly stressful situation so much more comforting. The team first tried a stronger medication to induce vomiting, but unfortunately the corn cob still didn’t come up. Dr. Brown sat down with me and thoroughly explained our options: endoscopy or surgery. She answered every question I had, never made me feel rushed, and had such a calm, reassuring presence that immediately put me at ease during one of the most stressful nights I’ve had as a pet owner. After talking with my husband, we chose to move forward with an endoscopy since it was less invasive, more cost-effective, and offered a quicker recovery. By the time bloodwork was complete, it was after midnight, and now my birthday. Spending my birthday at an emergency animal hospital definitely wasn’t how I imagined celebrating. Unfortunately, the endoscopy was unsuccessful because of where the corn cob was lodged. Once again, Dr. Brown patiently walked me through our options. She even told us we could have our regular veterinarian perform the surgery the next day if cost was a concern. After another conversation with my husband, we decided to move forward with surgery at VEG because, despite only knowing Dr. Brown for about three hours, I trusted her completely. I was able to watch through the OR window as Dr. Brown successfully removed the corn cob. During surgery, I mentioned to one of the nurses that it was my birthday. When Dr. Brown came out after surgery to tell me everything had gone well, she wished me a happy birthday and said she was sorry this was how I was spending it. That simple kindness meant so much. I stayed until Koe woke up from anesthesia before heading home around 4:00 AM. Before I left, Dr. Brown told me she would personally call with an update between 7:00 and 8:00 AM. At exactly 8:00 AM, my phone rang. She let me know Koe was doing great, explained the plan for the day, and said that if he continued eating well, he could come home that evening. When we returned that night to pick him up after my birthday dinner, I walked over to Koe’s kennel and immediately burst into tears. The staff had decorated his kennel with a Happy Birthday banner, put a birthday headband on Koe, bought cupcakes, a little plant, and a birthday card for me. After such an emotional, exhausting 24 hours running on almost no sleep, that thoughtful gesture was beyond anything I could have ever expected and meant more to me than words can express. The medical care we received was exceptional, but what truly sets VEG apart is the compassion, empathy, and humanity of every single person we encountered. They treated Koe like he was their own, and they treated me with so much kindness during an extremely stressful time. Dr. Brown and the entire Monday night team, you are all absolutely incredible. Thank you for saving my sweet boy and for turning what could have been one of the worst birthdays into one I’ll never forget for all the right reasons. To the VEG leadership team: if you read these reviews, please know that Dr. Brown and the Monday night staff deserve every bit of recognition. They are an incredible group of professionals who exemplify what emergency veterinary medicine should be. I sincerely hope we never have another emergency, but if we do, I will gladly drive an hour back to VEG Allen without hesitation. I will also recommend VEG to every pet owner I know. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

A million thanks to everyone who was there to help my boy Loki! Since Thursday Loki was acting strange not eating. Friday morning we woke up and his whole face was swollen, took him to the vet I work at and they did amazing. Gave him two injections to help with the swelling and itchiness he was having. Was good for the rest of the day. Friday night before we go to bed, he starts shaking his head a lot but I read it could be due to the injections so I left that alone. After going back to work my gf told me Loki’s eyes are not normal and that he’s acting weird again. She brings him to me at work and I noticed his eyes ( look at last picture ) they were I guess getting swollen and bulging out. So we left my job and went straight to this amazing crew! Dr Godfrey, Cyle and the other tech( didn’t get his name, Mikayla (may be spelt wrong and the young gentleman who greeted us at the door were alll amazing and very caring for my little golden! They immediately started getting his vitals, checking him out as soon as we got there. I can’t thank them enough, I’m very pleased with how they handled everything. I definitely have already recommended everyone I know to go there in case of an emergency! Once again Dr. Godfrey and crew thank you from the bottom of our hearts! 🙏

I don’t normally go to the ER for non-life-threatening issues, but my dog had been having GI issues for over 24 hours on a holiday weekend with no relief, and neither of us had slept during that time, so I finally decided to bring her in. Even though there were more critical emergencies happening around us, the staff never once made me feel like my dog’s situation was any less important or that I shouldn’t be there. Dr. Muhas was not only knowledgeable and helpful, but also just genuinely cool and nice. She made the whole experience feel a lot less stressful. Everyone we interacted with was kind, the facility was clean, and I felt like my dog was in really good hands. The only thing I’d mention for anyone going for the first time is that VEG has an open-concept setup, so you’re pretty aware of the other emergencies happening around you. Unfortunately, while I was there, a dog was brought in who needed to be euthanized. The dog and family were in a closed-off private room, so I didn’t actually see what was happening, but I still knew what was going on and cried like an absolute baby and probably looked like a crazy person lol. So if you’re sensitive to seeing or being around animals in distress like I am, just prepare yourself a little for the open environment. Pricing was surprisingly reasonable for emergency care, too. Obviously an ER visit isn’t going to be cheap, but I wasn’t in shock when I saw my bill. I sincerely hope I never have to go back to an emergency vet again, but if an emergency does happen, this is absolutely where I’ll go. Really grateful to Dr. Muhas and the entire team for taking such good care of my girl.

I brought my dog into the ER and was fortunate to meet Dr. Roberts, who compassionately guided us through a difficult time. She examined my dog and inquired about her condition, showcasing extraordinary care and empathy. Dr. Roberts exceptional kindness and dedication surpassed any veterinarian I've encountered. Erin, Dr. Roberts assistant was equally impressive, offering kindness and support. Together, they made a heart-wrenching decision more manageable with their compassion. Though I had to bid farewell to my beloved pet, their kindness eased the process, helping me find solace in a difficult moment. She was born with the heart, knowing she will capture everyone's heart she met.

Veg Emergency Animal Hospital was amazing. The service, The Karen staff, the expertise, all went above and beyond my expectation. I was able to stay with my dog, was involved in the decisions, and allowed to sit in the kennel with him while he rested!

Our puppy swallowed a sock tonight, and the staff took amazing care of him. We were in and out in 30 minutes. Everyone was knowledgeable, efficient, and incredibly sweet. We were able to stay with Rufus the entire time and watch everything, which made a stressful situation so much easier. Highly recommend!

I literally couldn’t complain about a single thing about VEG!! From the person who opened the door for me each time I’ve been there all the way to the doctors and everyone caring for my animals over the last year because I’ve had multiple emergencies!!! this team and this location is absolutely amazing and I am beyond words at the care, concern, patience and understanding of each and every one of them and my family is forever grateful for VEG Snellville!!!! .

Paddington says to thank everyone who pet him and gave him all the attention he demanded. The staff are the reason why Paddington does not associate VEG on Rampart as a negative experience. Thank you to everyone’s help and all the love given to him on our *latest* visit 😭. Thankfully nothing serious this time. Realizing right now that I don’t recall my nurses/techs names’, I am so sorry. I think I was just happy that Paddy was happy and completely forgot to get names. The two ladies kept us updated and offered help throughout our entire stay. They were also so chill with our strange encounter; someone I knew walked in with their own pet concerns. They helped ease those parents immediately. Afterwards our areas merged (while still separate) and the nurse/tech were so good about keeping us updated but keeping patient info confidential. I was able to witness them, and DVM Jones, treat the pet and parents with compassion, offering comfort and understanding throughout, offering options for payments without judgement to the parent’s ability to pay. Unfortunately, the fur babe’s diagnosis was too severe and treatment and recovery would be difficult, so the difficult decision was made for comfort. I hate it came to the conclusion it came to. I could tell the staff were affected, and yet they did the switch up everyone in the medical does where they put their emotions aside and made sure that each fur babe and parent they encountered got the level of care they deserved. The staff even helped me when we were discharged and had my dog and took the other family’s *literal* baby so they could say their goodbyes. We were no longer a patient but they still checked on us and gave Paddington tons of love. The staff at VEG on Rampart are something special, because while it was all tough for the other family, in the end they managed to have the other parent’s laughing. *Thankful for anyone who remembered Paddy from previous visits. You fill his bucket and boost his ego, and this point his name should be Diva Paddington.*

This is hands down the best vet clinic I've been to, with the most amazing staff. I'm so grateful to Jenny and Liz, who gave me so much emotional support when my cat swallowed a foreign object and when he had urinary issues. I'm also grateful to Dr. Archibald, Dr. Havinga, Justin, and Jesse, who were incredibly generous with their time, attention, care, and compassion. I've been to many vet clinics in Washington, Massachusetts, and California, and this is by far the best one. Being at the ER with a pet is never a pleasant experience, but I felt safe and comfortable here the whole time. Their prices are also reasonable compared to other clinics, especially considering how superior the care is. Also, they're not owned by Mars, the corporation that produces M&M's, Snickers, and Twix, and also owns Banfield, BluePearl, VCA, and other chains. I also loved that they had great snacks, and not just for customers. It says a lot that they make sure their own staff are well taken care of too. I'm so grateful a place like this exists.

All the vets and nurses and assistants were super friendly, welcoming and helpful, from the second we walked in the door. Piper got excellent care after having an anaphylactic reaction to an insect bite. He loved everyone that handled him. And Bunny and I were treated very well, too. Thank you so much!
