Superb experience from start to finish! The “open concept” was unique and pretty cool. Facility was spotless and the staff, friendly and helpful. We had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Crossfield. What a kind, gentle, knowledgeable vet. Not to mention my dog loved him. Just for that, he’s a keeper! I would highly recommend Veg to anyone! Thank you Dr. Crossfield and staff.

I brought my 7 pound Yorkie and because she had eaten a dead rodent in the backyard and I was very concerned about poisoning. The vet on duty Dr HOGGAN did an absolutely top-notch excellent job of explaining to me the potential treatment and the risks and also letting me know that the potential for not following the treatment however, she was not as concerned as I was, and I decided to go forward with the treatment just in case which I was very glad that I did because they induced vomiting, and she did actually bring up the mouse I’d rather rest assured that she did not ingest anything poisonous since she’s only 7 pounds! This place was absolutely amazing. They had Nespresso coffee and. And cold drinks for free available I’m sure it’s very Comforting when people have to stay there for a very long time. It’s a very different layout and that they don’t separate you from your dog so you can actually comfort your dog if needed and witness their procedures usually vets just take the dog away into another room and you don’t really see what’s happening and the poor dog is with people they don’t know This is a privately owned business that has been established over years all over the country and finally made it to Roseville. They just opened and of course it’s an excellent location with a gluten-free bakery next-door.! Highly recommend I don’t have anything to say that they could change. It was just absolutely perfect experience. The staff was super friendly and loving and kind. Thank you to everyone.!! I am so happy and relieved that my Chloe is doing well

Five stars is not enough for the team at VEG Oak Brook. My cat was in for an asthma attack that escalated her breathing rate. The entire team was incredibly quick, calm, kind, patient, and empathetic. Someone checked up on us frequently (about every 15 minutes, and we were there 6 hours) while she was getting oxygen treatment and X-rays. Furthermore, cost was half of what I paid at another ER a month ago for the same reason. Now that we have an updated treatment plan and know what works for her condition, I am confident we will not have a flare up like this again. BUT, if we ever need assistance again, we’ll definitely be back. Thank you, to all those that helped my baby girl and were so supportive for me as well. Sagan is feeling much better and breathing at the normal rate. ❤️

This place is amazing! If your pet has an emergency, come straight here! They allow you to stay with your pet at all times and they do all procedures right in front of you. Our dog was here for 48 hours and we were allowed to sleep right next to her. The staff is AMAZING, kind, professional, friendly, competent. I do not have a single negative thing to say.

Veg ER Georgetown is amazing! The staff is caring, compassionate, and very knowledgeable. I called the facility on a Saturday evening after midnight when my 8 year old Cocker Spaniel ate an entire block of cheddar cheese with caramelized onions! I was so worried and upset and didn't know what to do. When I called the Georgetown ER the receptionist was so kind and calmed me down. He told me not to worry and he immediately got the Dr. on the phone. The Dr. listened attentively and took the time to explain the best protocol for my dog. She asked me for the name of the cheese that my dog had eaten and quickly researched the ingredients and the amount of onion content per block of cheese. Luckily, the % of onion in the cheese was not in the danger zone for poisoning a 44lb. dog. I was utterly relieved and thankful for the help of the Dr. I wish I could remember her name, but unfortunately I was so distressed I forgot to write it down. Without asking for any compensation she took the time to genuinely help me and put my mind at ease. Thank you VEG ER Georgetown you are wonderful human beings!! My dog is feeling much better and thanks you as well!!

I want to sincerely thank the entire team for the wonderful care they provided to my dog, Kira. From the moment we arrived, everyone was kind, professional, compassionate, and attentive. The staff took the time to listen to my concerns, thoroughly examine Kira, and explain everything clearly. They made both of us feel comfortable during a stressful time, and I truly appreciated their patience and caring attitude. It is clear that this team genuinely loves animals and is dedicated to providing excellent care. Thank you for treating Kira with such kindness and helping her feel better. I am very grateful for the support and exceptional service we received. Highly recommended! ❤️❤️

Went to VEG ER in Elk Grove, CA on Sunday 6/21/26. Let me start with they were absolutely wonderful! I have heard great things from friends in the vet field and I follow the VEG instagram as well. They definitely did not disappoint. My soul dog, Lilly, has kidney disease and heart disease and was fitting the symptoms for possible kidney failure. Nolan did our intake and was very kind and down to earth. Dr. Huntyr Mcmurty was Lilly’s doctor and she was compassionate, kind, caring, and listened very well. Dr. Mcmurty laid out what our options are and we agreed to proceed with blood work to check kidney values and go from there.after blood work supporting what I expected, extremely increased kidney values, Dr. Mcmurty explained our next options for hospital care or supportive care until humane euthanasia, of which we decided to do the latter since Lilly is 15.5yrs old. Overall the experience, as hard as it is to be with your sick fur baby, was very pleasant because of the wonderful care team and staff. I regret that I didn’t catch everyone’s name that helped Lilly, but each person was exceptional. All this to say it was very busy, a bit short staffed, and yet they still managed to remain calm, triage very well, and provide excellent care. If anyone needs an emergency vet I will always recommend VEG. Oh and those curious of pricing: with a sick and elderly dog I already expect to pay at least $500, and with ER vets I thought it would be significantly more, but was under $600 for an exam, blood work, medication, and subcutaneous fluids. So in my opinion very reasonable and well priced. Thank you VEG for all you do. Vets, vet techs, nurses, assistants, you are all amazing and no amount of praise can describe my gratitude towards you all. Thank you ❤️

I recently took my pet to VEG Emergency Vet Care during an urgent situation, and the experience was excellent. The staff was welcoming and compassionate from the start. The doctor took time to clearly explain everything and showed genuine concern, which made a stressful situation much easier to handle. The level of care was outstanding. They even followed up afterward and coordinated with our regular vet. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for any pet emergency.

We took our 4 year old Portuguese water dog in for a true emergency. She needed a blood transfusion after eating rat poison and her blood was not clotting. There was lots of bruising but no internal bleeding to vital organs. She needed all all types of exams and several tests. She stayed overnight and needed lots of care. I called about every 3 to 6 hours and got all the answers I needed. I took her the next day for another blood test. They explained everything but since I had been keeping up with the test results on Dr. Chat Gpt I knew most of the stuff they were talking about. I was also uploading invoices as I was being billed. The prices are mostly normal and a few were a little high. But you're paying for comfort while you're in there. It is open concept so be prepared to have all your buisness out there. Everyone sitting around is very concerned about everyone's pet, some share and some over share. Whether or not that matters is neither here nor there, the vets are excellent.

I brought my dog in on one of the scariest days of our life. The staff treated him with the utmost compassion and care. They truly treated him like he was the most important dog in the world (because, of course, he is). I hope I never need an emergency vet again, but if I do, I’m so glad VEG will be there to help my pet. Dr. Lee was so knowledgeable, kind, and patient. He made sure we understood exactly what was happening and had a calming presence that let us know our Toast was in the best possible hands. The veterinary assistant was so compassionate as well. She made it clear that our dog was her only priority and her sole focus during that time was keeping him comfortable. After discharge, we thought of even more questions and called back in. Dr. Lee himself got right on the phone and once again took the time to answer all of our questions. Finally, we knew an emergency vet would be expensive. They were totally honest and transparent up front about what the cost would be and any alternatives to treatment that might have been available should cost be an issue. The total bill was less than I expected walking in and I appreciated the honesty regarding financial obligations. I would rate 10 stars if I could.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about VEG ER for Pets. From the moment we rushed our cat, Ruckus, through their doors, every single person treated her—and us—with compassion, kindness, and genuine care. Their open-concept hospital meant we never had to leave her side, which brought us so much comfort during one of the scariest moments of our lives. The doctors and staff were incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. They stabilized Ruckus and gave us hope when we needed it most. But what truly sets VEG apart is what happened after we left. They continued checking on Ruckus days and even weeks later, simply because they cared. They didn't have to, but they did—and that speaks volumes about the hearts of the people who work there. Knowing they're open 24/7 gives us peace of mind that if another emergency ever happens, we'll never hesitate to bring our pets to VEG. They are more than an emergency hospital—they're a team of compassionate people who truly love animals and the families who love them. Thank you for everything you did for Ruckus. We'll never forget your kindness. ❤️🐾

I cannot say enough about the staff and our experience this week at VEG in Snellville. Our 12-year-old Golden Retriever, Madyson, was immediately triaged and taken for X-rays upon arrival. She was suffering from a sudden GDV (bloat), a life-threatening condition involving a twisted stomach that requires emergency surgery. Given her age, the potential complications and recovery challenges, and her ongoing struggles with Cushing’s disease and thyroid disease over the past two years, we made the incredibly difficult decision to let her go peacefully and return to her Heavenly Creator. The tears continue to flow because Madyson was truly the best dog. While our hearts are broken, we know we made the most loving and compassionate decision for her. The entire team at VEG was exceptional. They were kind, compassionate, patient, and willing to answer every question we had. They never rushed us and allowed us to spend as much time with Madyson as we needed. I am so grateful to have a 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital so close to home. I trust their expertise and their evaluation completely. While I hope we never need emergency services for our other dogs, it brings me comfort knowing that VEG is there if we do. God bless each and every one of you. Thank you for being there for us during one of the hardest moments of our lives.

I unfortunately had to put my baby down due to seizures and came all the way from Palmdale to this ER. Place was clean and peaceful and gave us as much time as we needed. Staff were professional and sweet and treated him with care. Price was reasonable and allowed me to take my baby back home and is now resting in peace at home with his tennis balls. They also sent a very lovely and heartfelt letter after his passing wishing us condolences. I definitely recommend coming here. P.S thank you for the letter team, my family and I never expected it. We truly appreciated it. 🖤

Thank you V.E.G. You were all so compassionate, kind, professional and acted with a sense of urgency when we brought in our 10 year old Great Dane mix for a “compassion visit.” At a time when we were initially uncertain about our decision to move forward with euthanasia, you assured we had made the only choice. There was no time wasted on gaining our Onyx’s weight when we came in the door or questioning the state of Onyx’s health. Upon arrival, we were met in the foyer by staff that knew we were on our way in to be seen for the compassion visit. There was no wasted time with questioning the health of our beloved dog as it was apparent he was in distress. We cannot thank you enough for helping Onyx transition peacefully in a calm setting. Onyx is now in heaven and we will see him again 🌈

I took my American Bully to VEG because she wasn't eating and couldn't keep down water. Dr. Lynch did a thorough exam and the sonogram showed that my girl had somehow swallowed a small rubber ball which was obstructing her intestines. Surgery was our only recourse. Through my fear and tears Dr. Lynch was extremely patient, kind & sympathetic. While I left her in their capable care with tears I had absolute trust that Dr. Lynch and the VEG staff would take excellent care of my fur baby. Dr. Lynch called me with an update after the surgery and Dr. Winter was in constant communication with me the following day giving me updates on her recovery. I also have to mention Hannah who kept coming over to check on me and offer snacks and water while we waited for them to set up for surgery. Every single employee was kind, patient and sympathetic, not only to my fear but to all the other parents who bought in their pets for care. I highly recommend VEG if you ever find yourself in a situation where your pet needs emergency care.

We recently found ourselves in need of emergency vet services in the middle of the night with an out of the ordinary stalled labor & delivery of our one of our expectant females in our breeding program. The entire staff was friendly & professional throughout our entire time & care at VEG, Asheville. Drs Bentley & E were great to work with! They acknowledged that I was veteran breeder, and understood this was not my first rodeo. Nick, Amy, & Kristy rounded out the entire team that came alongside me and my dog to assist in the best possible outcome for her care & her pups during our time at VEG. One of the MOST important aspects of VEG is that you are allowed to stay with your pet during their care. For a breeder this was the up most importance, for me to keep my eyes on my dog and how she was or was not progressing during her labor and that I was still able to whelp her pups myself. Great clinic & staff! Highly recommend! -Trish, Antler Creek Siberians

Early in the morning at 5:03 AM on July 17, 2026, my dog Ryan got bit by a Mojave green while we were running around in the desert. The VEG for pets Veterinarian group came through in a very tight spot. Ryan is at home now resting and recovering because of the great work this Veterinarian Hospital had initiated.

VEG treated my sick dog with so much compassion and love. Dr. Sparks, Dr. McReynolds, Katelyn, Elexis, Marykate and Candice all were amazing, helpful and kind. We were dealing with a lot of uncertainty and trying to soak in a lot of information. The team was so patient and helped guide me through a difficult weekend. My dog is so anxious in vet offices but they took such good care of her. I followed their treatment plan and she was better within a week’s time! Hoping she never gets sick again, but if she does, I will go to VEG immediately.

These people are very concerned with your pet's needs. They are very respectful and want to do nothing more then help get our pets on recovery. They are also very passionate about the owners feelings and concerns. They're in this for our animals and not the money. Thanks again to EVERYONE at VEG in Chapel Hill, NC for getting Baby feeling better.

So thankful for the knowledgeable and caring team at VEG Allen. My husky was sick last night and needed urgent care. The VEG team was busy with many cases (some more severe with ours), but they still made time to give our boy the focus and care we hoped for. From my first phone call, Alex was great. As an anxious pet parent, I probably didn’t make a ton of sense on the phone, but she was patient and caring and quickly got me the info I needed to help speed up the process. When we arrived at the clinic, Alex was attentive and helpful. After a very short wait, Dr. Rodriguez came to evaluate our boy. She was knowledgeable, calm, and so thorough walking us through the process and recommended care plan. We were able to be right there with our pet while they examined him which made things easier for him (and us 😉). I wish I had caught the name of the nurse who helped with our care because she was phenomenal as well. Dealing with a sick or injured pet is so stressful and scary since we have to make lots of assumptions, but this team exceeded our expectations and treated us with kindness - even at midnight! I will recommend VEG any chance I get. Thank you for caring for our boy - we were discharged with medication and thorough guidance on what to watch for and actions to take. We also left with the confidence that there is a wonderful place to care for any future urgent needs for our pets. Truly grateful.

I’m caring for my mom’s dog, Schuyler, for her while she is undergoing cancer treatments, so my family and I are already stressed but when Schuyler had some stomach issues at 1am I needed help and I’m glad I went to VEG ER Cary. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted immediately and Schuyler was triaged and in line to see the Dr. The whole staff, from front desk to vet tech to vet were always kind, had a sense of urgency, empathetic, helpful, listened fully and you could tell they understand how important our pets are to us. I felt like they treated us as if we were their own family. They offer snacks and drinks while you wait, and the wait can be a bit because they make sure critical patients are stable and it is an ER after all, but they constantly checked in on me and Schuyler while we did wait. I will say, and this has nothing to do with the staff or hospital itself, but they have an open concept sort of setup so you do see everyone that comes in and the initial triage steps. I had to witness a few very sad, hard moments as other very critical patients came in and were triaged and that was hard for me. I wasn’t aware of this, so I just wasn’t prepared and I have some trauma from my past that was triggered a bit, so I just want to warn people of this as just a heads up. Now that I know, I will still always chose to come here in the future if unfortunately a best friend of mine needs emergency care, because it is worth it for the care and kindness of the whole team as well as their invaluable knowledge and desire to help our babies. And just side note, they do have private rooms and they did always move those critical patients to have privacy with their families eventually, but the initial triage is done right in the huge room with everyone so they can all tend to the pet immediately and so your pet is never taken away from you and you are able to be with it while they treat it every step of the way which is incredible. If unfortunately at some point your best friend needs medical care, this is the place to go. I’m very grateful to them for all their help and empathy when me and my family were going thru a very stressful time. Each and every one of the staff members at VEG ER Cary are heroes in my book.

This place is the absolute best, hands down! My 7 month old puppy, Scout, was injured at a doggy daycare facility and everyone at VEG jumped right in to help him. From the moment we walked in, they listened to our concerns and thoroughly explained every detail of what they were doing to aid him. They were so gentle and compassionate and even sat on the floor with him to evaluate and kept it very low stress. I loved that I was able to be with him the entire time instead of him being hauled away into a separate room. My emotions were high and they made me feel calm while still validating my concerns. I have never experienced such compassion, care and transparency from any veterinary hospital the way we did here. Thank you so so much Dr. Dane and the entire staff for helping our little guy get on the mend! We are so so grateful.

Very efficient! Definitely will come back (in the event of an emergency, of course). :) Our cat, Spyder, had a urinary blockage. As soon as we entered, we explained his symptoms to the front desk staff, and we were immediately brought back. They registered him in the system, and as soon as he was assessed, they quickly identified the issue. They give owners the opportunity to watch as they cared for their pets! They also gave detailed explanations throughout the process so we understood exactly what they were doing and why. Our cat had to stay a few nights, and during that time we received texts and phone calls with updates on his progress, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. The estimate was definitely on the higher side, but all I can say is thank goodness for pet insurance. They also offered several financing options that we were able to choose from, which definitely came in handy. Special thanks to Dr.Herzhoff, Dr. Brooks, Chris and the girls up front ❤️ And to the amazing CVT who played power puff girls while our cat was in observation ❤️!

All the ladies were fantastic, Kat, Arissa, Stephane, Kim, Sleepy, Bashful and Dr. Jacobson…I brought my little Yorkie who was pretty sick and they were gentle to my 4lb little guy and even handled me well who was a bit emotional. I appreciate how they went over his panel with me and how kid gloves they were with my little guy. I’m not going to lie, I hope I never have to go back except on Christmas to drop off cheesecake to the fine crew. In all seriousness Thank You all 🙏

My two doggies got into some human medication and we needed to have them looked at asap. After speaking with ASPCA poison control, we took them over to VEG on Ralph Avenue. We were greeted by friendly staff when we came in . This was very consoling for me. After weigh in they took us into a room . I gave all the pertinent information I'd written down with the poison control number. This helped with check in process. We were there for a few hours. Dr Anderson went over a couple of options and she gave honest opinion of which course of action to take. We went with that route. It's the next day and my two doggies are 100% their normal self and getting into things.

I am very pleased with my visit here ☺️. My cat, Bobo, wasn’t eating or drinking. She felt very weak for two days. I had decided this wasn’t like her at all. So I rushed over here. the staff is incredibly kind and helpful❤️ they have a tough job. I found out Bobo had a high fever and tapeworms. though the bill wasn’t nice, I don’t blame anyone for it. An emergency vet comes with its costs. Immediately two days after visiting, Bobo was jumping on tables, using the litter, meowing. Just being herself again…☺️I was so happy!!! My cat was back to normal. no sickness, no fever, and she had medicine for her tapeworms. I definitely recommend you all to come here. just be patient with the staff. they’ve seen a lot, and they surely don’t make the prices. ❤️ so do not blame the staff for the enormous bills. what I did was I stated my budget and they were considerate of it. Below, I attached a before and after photo of Bobo😻visiting this location! (She had stayed in that box the entire day with no movement) no playing, eating, or anything. But after ! She was able to go up and down the stairs and play with her siblings 💕

The receptionist Fantasia I can't thank enough for her kindness and attention she gave as we said goodbye to our beloved dog MJ. The entire staff sprang into action as soon as we walked in the door. When my golden retriever had an eye emergency, I chose this ER simply based on location and a quick glance at the reviews. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, I was incredibly impressed with the care we received. The entire staff was so gentle and compassionate with my dog, and I was especially impressed by how thorough the exam was. Dr. Kimberlyn W. took the time to clearly explain which tests she recommended and why, and I appreciated being given pricing information before anything was done. At no point did I feel pressured into additional testing or treatment. Ariela and Shannon were also absolutely amazing throughout my dog’s care. Honestly, the best way to describe this place is something one of the assistants said: it’s like “The Avengers” of veterinary medicine. The best of the best all came together to work here. The diagnosis and treatment plan were explained very thoroughly, which I truly valued, and I was sent home with printed information to refer back to as well. During the wait for bloodwork results, someone even came in with a basket of snacks and offered me something to eat or drink…such a thoughtful touch during a stressful situation. I would recommend this place 100%.

i truly cannot express how fantastic the staff is at this location. i was having an emergency with my dog and when i got there one of the nurses was immediately examining him for severity of his case right as we came in, and walked straight into a room. there was a bit of a wait due to more pressing emergencies that were admitted ahead of me. the staff checked in on my pup and i consistently, offering comfort items, even had a space heater for my small dog to stay a bit warmer. they were so kind and sweet to my dog as if he was the only patient of the day, even though im sure they see chaos non-stop. they talked with me about options for care and payment. they answered every question i asked all while reassuring me in such a stressful time. i felt no judgement, only care and compassion from everyone there. i wish i had gotten some of their names.. whoever all was working july 4th (2026) evening into july 5th morning deserves such a huge acknowledgment of being so genuine and awesome. its only a couple of days later and my dog still needs specialty follow up but he is already feeling so much better. 10/10 my pup and i say thank you a million times

We were transferred to VEG because our initial emergency room was on diversion. Not knowing what to expect, I was highly satisfied with every aspect of VEG. When we arrived they were expecting us and flew into admission and treatment. The quote I was given was 4,500 less than others I was given at the initial emergency room. I was shocked when they asked me and my son if we wanted a bed to stay the night with my dog. Usually Vet Emergency clinics take your dog and you don't see them until you pay and are discharged. The staff ran through my pups treatment plan and offered us snacks. The nurse talked with my son and showed him the other animals. When we decided to go home to sleep, they promised texts and phone calls. The next day I was welcomed in to sit with my baby. They took extra precaution not to discharge him until they felt he was ready. They did not rush his discharge to get rid of him... actually I'm almost certain they would have kept him another night because he was so loved. VEG changed my perspective of what Vet Emergency Hospitals could and should be. I will be bypassing my usual Emergency Clinic and coming straight to VEG next time. I can't say enough about the staff...especially the night staff!!!! e I cannot for the life of me remember the names of the staff. The first 1 was the night nurse who was in charge of the admitted animals... glasses, blond hair..super sweet. The second was the day vet tech...guy, so kind and I watched him kiss all of the babies like they were his own...smells like vanilla if that helps narrow it down. Also the doctors both night and day were pleasant and thorough with explaining his condition and plan for treatment!

I would highly recommend taking your pet to VEG ER for Pets. The staff was very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. We were seen pretty much immediately, and I was kept apprised of everything that they were doing to care for my pet. I even watched them perform the x-rays through a little window. It’s a bit expensive, but not egregiously so when compared to other emergency vets in the area. For the services rendered and the quality of the staff alone it was well worth it. Striper and I are so grateful!

After noticing our sweet boy was holding his neck down we took him to our local vet, we were given the run around on treatment options & were eventually told we needed a $5,000 MRI done at another clinic so that they can figure it out. We were keeping him medicated until we could get him into physical therapy because we were under the impression of a pinched nerve or disc issue & our local vet wouldn’t help us any longer. Fast forward two weeks later his health was declining. We made the decision to bring him into VEG, immediately we welcomed with the most compassionate and caring staff. Dr. Smith & Jacy came over to look at our boy & said she wanted to check for cancer. Many people brought their animals in the hours that we were there & the attention to Kane, my husband & I never slacked a bit. After some x-rays, it was confirmed that’s exactly what it was & unfortunately we had to make the decision to euthanize our boy. Jacy moved us into a private room to say our goodbyes, & share thoughtful words. Dr. Smith was extremely thorough and patient with us & our questions. I cannot thank them enough for the level of care ourselves & Kane received that night. Picture tax of our sweet boy. ❤️

Both of our dogs had to go to the emergency vet yesterday, which was a bummer Fortunately, Mykayla and the team at Veg were so awesome and took such good care of Rad and Barker. When we got there Barker our 90 pound Great Pyrenees couldn’t walk. The team brought a stretcher to help us get her out of the truck and rolled her immediately into a room. With each step of her treatment, they were just so sweet and caring and cared for her as if she were their own pet. They took extra care to do as many x-ray pictures as it took to properly diagnose the problem with her knee. They were very detailed and covered her history and made sure that there were no complications related cancer that she had in the past. Mykayla and Joey had helped treat Rad earlier in the day and they made a point to ask how he was doing after he left. There were just so many special things they did to take special care of our dogs. Too many things to list, but we wouldn’t consider going anywhere else in the future and highly recommend the vets at Veg.

I wish I remembered the names of everyone I saw the evening of 7/12, but I was truly so impressed with the entire staff. Being able to speak to a vet on the phone was a game changer, and I was seen immediately when I walked in with my dogs. The doctor and all of the techs were incredibly kind, sweet with my dogs, and very quick. I’ve never been in and out of an emergency vet so quickly! Although I don’t want to have to come back, I definitely would return to this location if my dogs ever need it again.

I can't say enough great things about this place! From the care of my pet and the care of myself, this place goes above and beyond. I joke with my friends and family that I didn't get this care when my mom was in the hospital! They saved Wrigleys life and made sure I understood every step and procedure. I was able to come and go as I pleased and felt good knowing he was in good hands. Between the hearts he stole and the hand holding he did, along with the size of tumor removed from his belly, I'm sure he won't be forgotten by the incredible vets and techs that cared for him.

This review is largely excluding cost, because although there were many positives about it, the overall cost of vet care is insane. I came here after driving around all morning looking for a place that had a vet available for immediate attention. The person who I spoke with at Uptown recommended this place. I had never heard of them but they were super close to everything so I went over. The whole experience from the moment I walked in was so much better than anything I have experienced in the 25 years I have been taking dogs to vets. We never had to leave our dog's side. We saw everything that was happening around and got to see them work in true worst case scenarios. They were kind, professional, attentive, and worked hard to care for every animal around. Our girl was not doing well and given my experience at other vets, I don't know if she would have made it had we taken her elsewhere. I had my kids with me all day the first day. A 4 year old and 1 year old in an open space with sick animals and lots of equipment isn't ideal. They have iPads to watch movies, snacks, the good water machine, coffee, tea, coloring books, puzzles, etc. I think the sceen time and snacks the day prior (and the stress of seeing our Pep so sick) made the behavior a little less than ideal the 2nd day so we got a private room. I probably was not in my calmest state, either, but they were all amazing and kind. My husband brought our baby home this morning. My littlest is already stomping around saying "Peppy! Peppy!! Hi Peppy! Peppy Baby!" She is home and happy and largely unaffected by the stress of the last few days. I really think she is doing so well not only because of the vet care she received, but also because of the environment at this clinic. As for the cost - like I mentioned, vet care is sooo expensive. Was it a lot of money? Yes. Worth it? Yes. It isn't like we can't pay it nor wouldn't have paid more if necessary, but it just adds up quickly. I don't have to tell anyone how expensive life is here in San Diego. HOWEVER, they honored our request to approach testing incrementally, and they even said things like, "let me look at the finances and see how far we can stretch out the hospital stay with what you have paid." You never hear stuff like that. And when I asked about tests, they were honest in that we could totally get them if we wanted, but they knew we didn't want to blindly test and they didn't think the results from other tests made it necessary. It usually is what it is and everything is done out of your sight anyways. We got out of the 2 day hospital stay and a bunch of testing and meds for a little over 6k. And the experience itself was definitely better in every way. If you have an emergency, I highly recommend VEG!
