This place is so amazing! Would highly recommend! Here’s the reason for our visit. Ruby decided to snack on a hydrangea, which we discovered can be extremely toxic to pups. So happy to have this clinic nearby!

Thank you for examining our baby so quickly and for making us feel at ease. Dr. Walsh was kind, professional, and very easy to talk to. She took the time to answer all of our questions and addressed every concern we had with patience and compassion. We truly appreciate the excellent care. Thank you!

We've visited VEG 3 times now - once for the initial emergency and then twice for follow up. Every visit exceeded my expectations and made me feel at ease. Dr. Emily, Dr. White, Fable, Christina, Sarah, really everyone we encountered each time were amazing! I hope we never need to visit again, but if we do, VEG will always be my FIRST choice! Scrappy says thanks so much for fixing me up! 🐾❤️‍🩹

This place is the best if your fur baby needs help! Our 14 year old dog Izzy had been there before but last night she had a medical emergency from having multiple seizures from her epilepsy. My daughter and I decided it was time to let her go and rest in peace. Despite being busy, they made us feel like we were the only ones there. The entire staff was so kind, helpful and supportive and the doctor was on the floor with us and our dog until she took her last breath.

If you are an anxious pet owner like myself, I cannot recommend this place enough. We took our boy Ares here after being misdiagnosed twice and him throwing up a lot in the span of a couple of hours. Our doctor (I completely forget her name I'm sorry!!) was ABSOLUTELY amazing. She saw us in less than 15 minutes after arrival and explained everything to me which made me feel comfortable about our decision. Our boy ended up having surgery through this company and they were so amazing with everything, they kept us updated through every aspect have done such a great job taking care of our boy. My cat is now 3 weeks post op and is doing the best he's been in well over a month!! I wish I would've brought him to VEG sooner, I'm so happy they made my boy back to normal!! (He now has the come off and is doing great :))

I had a great experience at VEG South Tampa yesterday. I brought my morkie in to get checked because she was throwing up for 24 hours. Mikayla at the front desk was so kind, empathetic, and prompt with each patient that came in. My dog was in triage shortly after check in. Within the hour, it went from calm to extremely busy. With that being said, please note that your case will be pushed back if your pet is stable & there are more critical cases that are brought in! As someone who is a pet owner and lover, I completely understand and if my pet were in critical condition, I really hope that they’d prioritize that! The wait times could be long, but they do give you the option to leave your dog in the kennels and come back when results are ready. They offer snacks and drinks in the lobby if you decide to stay! Dr. Moses did great assessing my dog, but Dr. Davison took over by the end of the night. As I watched 10 or more people shuffle in and out, I witnessed Dr. Davison explain in great detail the plan of care for each and every animal, all of which was explained with deep compassion for whatever the situation entailed. Every question and concern answered without any pressure to make certain decisions. We need more vets like this! Estevan was my nurse and he did a great job making sure my dog was okay to leave and had everything she needed. Thank you to the team at VEG South Tampa for a great experience under not so great circumstances.

There aren't many emergency choices south of 440 in Nashville (I-65). Our dog had a traumatic medical event, so we scooped her up and headed north. We went to a competing emergency vet. Though there were no cars in the parking lot and nobody in the waiting room, they turned us away. The interaction with the front desk person was awkward, and the explanation of why they couldn't treat our dog wasn't really believable. We then went to VEG to find care for our dog. From inside, they noticed me approaching and "hot-footed" their way to the door to open it for us. Inside, our dog was immediately surrounded by a team of technicians and a vet who quickly gave us a diagnosis as if we were in some fancy ER show. Though our dog could not be saved, the staff was the most compassionate, loving, and attentive vet group I have ever seen. We were not rushed to have our dog euthanized, nor were we rushed afterward while we grieved. I went to pick up her remains about a week later, and was again greeted at the door and promptly given service with the same friendly and caring demeanor as our last visit. I cannot say enough good about our experience with VEG and would emphatically endorse their services to anyone with an animal in need of emergent care. Your mission, compassion, and values spoke to our hearts. Thank you so much for providing the best end-of-life care our Kona (and her "parents") could expect.

I wanted to take the time to make this review because what an amazing set of nurses and doctor working at this clinic. Everyone was so sweet, accommodating and super helpful when it came to my baby girl Kira. Brought her in for a stomach issue where she was defecating some blood and they resolved it with care, kindness, full transparency and made sure Kira was extremely comfortable. Brought her a bed and blanket to lay on!!! Thank you to this incredible team for helping my baby girl Kira. We still have a little bit to go for her to feel 100% better but the care from this team is why she is doing much better! Kira says thank you and glad she was able to give one of her favorite nurses a kiss before leaving!

Everyone at VEG were so kind and loving towards my cat Pandy. They were very attentive during his stay and did everything they could to save him. They even tried to make my birthday and Pandy's adoption day better with a nice balloon and cookies. Unfortunately, we had to talk about his quality of life and decided we did not want him to suffer anymore. They were amazing through the whole process. Thank you ladies for the love you shared with him during his stay! In case you wanted to see what a beautiful kitty he was... I attached some pictures.

The folks at VEG are amazing. They were very knowledgeable and clear in communicating our options in a very tough situation. They let us stay with our dog the entire time he was receiving care, and were quick to give us updates on what was happening when we were away. Our boy would quite literally not be with us today if they did help us with such care.

First I took my baby girl to an urgent care clinic. After waiting for about 30 minutes her condition got noticeably worse. The staff then said they couldn’t treat her condition and that she needed to go to the ER immediately. I’m so grateful that VEG was available. The team acted quickly, provided effective treatment, and ultimately saved my baby girl. I don’t have pet insurance, but the self-pay cost was reasonable than I expected—under 2k for her condition. Most importantly, she’s fully recovered within a day and back to her happy self! Thank VEG! For the excellent care and compassion! 🥰

my dog received excellent care. Also great service. From the minute you walk in the door jennifer at the front desk is very helpful and pleasant. There was no wait time. Dr. Lauren Healy was kind, caring, and very knowledgeable And most importantly fixed my puppy. All medical assistants and other support staff were extremely friendly caring and helpful. All are amazing with dogs. not my first time here. They are my go to place for pet emergencies.

My poodle puppy was having diarrhea all night, the night before her spay appointment. As if she knew… I couldn’t get into my regular vet, so I popped into the VEG in Oceanside and they immediately got to work. Ultimately I was able to postpone the spay appointment 24 hours based on the recommendation from the doctor. Highly recommend this Vet.

Let me tell you guys, this place is a blessing. I came out of a double, extremely exhausted, I come home to pet my baby and I feel a bald patch. I was scared, he’s my first pet and as tired as I was I drove all the way to Boston praying it wasn’t anything serious. The staff here (Marcus and Nina, Dr yogo, and Casey) were so amazing. They took such amazing care of my cat, and were so kind and gentle and very understanding. I was so stressed out and I’ve been going through enough ad it is and they took that all off my shoulders. 11/10 place, best decision I’ve made coming here for my baby Future 🤍🤍🤍

VEG treated my sick dog with so much compassion and love. Dr. Sparks, Dr. McReynolds, Katelyn, Elexis, Marykate and Candice all were amazing, helpful and kind. We were dealing with a lot of uncertainty and trying to soak in a lot of information. The team was so patient and helped guide me through a difficult weekend. My dog is so anxious in vet offices but they took such good care of her. I followed their treatment plan and she was better within a week’s time! Hoping she never gets sick again, but if she does, I will go to VEG immediately.

This place is beyond amazing! Every single person I interacted with from the moment I walked through the door was kind, empathetic and efficient. My baby got a sticker burr lodged in her nose, and even though it wasn’t life threatening emergency, she was still treated like a priority. She was seen to quickly and many people came by to make sure we were both comfortable in the meantime. You can tell everyone who works here has genuine love for what they do. I will be recommending this place to everyone :)

When it comes to care and compassion when your animal can't tell you what hurts or why they're sick, you rely on DVM and nurses to help your fur-child! VEG has compassionate staff who help your animal(s) in a time of crisis. I would give 1K stars if I could but Google only allows 5! The staff 1000 out of 10 - their open concept to allow you to stay with your animal (they even have rooms to stay in/sleep) while under their care 1000 out of 10. The ease of communication and treatment plan and always being updated and never chasing down someone for an update 1000 out of 10. Over all, I am highly impressed with this location and their staff! "Paws" off to, Dr. Rawson, Dr. Michales & Nurses, Tori, Justice, and Abby. xoxo Winston and his scared mom!

Wow! what a facility. Nothing fancy but efficient. The staff is fabulous! They made me feel at such ease when my bird was attacked by a cat. The doctor and vet assistant were so caring and knew their stuff. Nothing reassures a parent more.I travelled all the way from Clarksville, and would do it again in a heart beat. I'm happy to say Pippy is doing well and resting. Her Hubby said to tell you THANK YOU! C.Mason :)

As the guardian of an extremely fearful dog who can experience severe fear, anxiety, and stress at the vet, I was genuinely blown away by the care we received at VEG. My dog’s body language was not only noticed, but deeply respected, and the team worked collaboratively to help him feel safe enough for handling and diagnostics using a compassionate, low-stress approach. The care extended to me as well with snacks, drinks, blankets, reassurance, clear communication during shift changes, and constant check-ins during an incredibly stressful experience. Potato recovered beautifully post-op, his incision looks amazing, and he came home clean, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. The open-concept environment fostered such a strong sense of collaboration, transparency, and community. You can feel how much VEG values continuing education, teamwork, and both human and animal emotional wellbeing. I left feeling incredibly grateful and hopeful for the future of the community at large.

We had an incredible experience with Dr. Rusch and Nurse Scott at Veg Animal er for pets of Flower Mound. Our dog developed a painful hotspot on her face, and we were really worried. Dr. Rusch was so attentive and knowledgeable, and Nurse Scott and the whole staff was incredibly kind and supportive and helped the process tremendously . We just got back tonight, and our pup is already on the mend! We can’t recommend them enough. Thank you for your excellent care!

When my golden retriever had an eye emergency, I chose this ER simply based on location and a quick glance at the reviews. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, I was incredibly impressed with the care we received. The entire staff was so gentle and compassionate with my dog, and I was especially impressed by how thorough the exam was. Dr. Kimberlyn W. took the time to clearly explain which tests she recommended and why, and I appreciated being given pricing information before anything was done. At no point did I feel pressured into additional testing or treatment. Ariela and Shannon were also absolutely amazing throughout my dog’s care. Honestly, the best way to describe this place is something one of the assistants said: it’s like “The Avengers” of veterinary medicine. The best of the best all came together to work here. The diagnosis and treatment plan were explained very thoroughly, which I truly valued, and I was sent home with printed information to refer back to as well. During the wait for bloodwork results, someone even came in with a basket of snacks and offered me something to eat or drink…such a thoughtful touch during a stressful situation. I would recommend this place 100%.

Our dog ate a towel and were worried about his intestines. Took him there and the staff was great. Busy, but great. It's an open architecture, everything is out in the open, basically just a large room, you kind of get to know what's going on, the good, the bad and the ugly. Staff are super busy, and it is expensive, but they know what they are doing and are prepared for anything (that fits) to come through the doors. We were encouraged to come visit and sit with our dog as he needed to be there for about 10 hours to get a couple sets od X-Rays. Not the most comfortable place, but we sat in his cage, and I think he felt OK.

The highlight of a very scary situation with my beloved dog was the extremely compassionate care from everyone at VEG. All the staff clearly love animals and they were so patient and took the time to explain everything along the way. Dr. Thaeder performed surgery and it seems to have gone very well. I made many anxious phone calls during the 2 week recovery period and all were met with kindness and patience.

The staff took such great care of our Millie and put me at ease by allowing me to sit with her and communicated with me through every step they took to make sure I was comfortable and understood what was going on. I could definitely tell they cared about my dog and her health. Millie was back to her old self the very next day and my mind was at ease after our VEG visit.

We brought our cat Roxy in not really knowing what was wrong. Emergency vets can be a little overwhelming but this location had some of the nicest staff I've ever met in the vet field. Dr Johnstone and the staff were incredible. They were quick to get vitals on my cat, listen our concerns and previous medical concerns to try and figure out what was wrong. After some test came back it was determine our cat was in a dire urgent situation due to her diabetes. After Dr Johnstone thoroughly went over treatment options we decided euthanasia would be the most humane option. It's never easy to say goodbye to a pet. I had my furball for over 15 years. The staff was so sincere with the process. Making sure we had a private room, had time to say our goodbyes and just over all very professional. I was happy to hear they offer paw and nose prints free of charge and a patch of fur. My Roxy will be cremated and returned back within a week or so. I just want to thank the entire staff again for their professionalism and sincerity in this tough choice. They never once made me feel what I chose was the bad route. They all listened to stories about our cat and all praised how even with her being sick they could she was loved and how she snuggled up to my shoulder while being examined. This was simply the best experience I could have asked for under these circumstances.

Thank you to the staff that was working the night shift on Friday 5/29. I had to bring my senior dog in for an emergency tumor rupture that unfortunately led to his having to be put down. The front desk person and veterinary team were very attentive and had him on an exam table with an ultrasound going within moments of us entering the building. Everyone was very kind, professional and caring while doing what must be a very difficult part of the job. Highly recommended.

I came in in the middle of the night/early morning today with my cat Pig for what his primary care doctor originally thought to be a mild case of gastritis/gastroenteritis. Something didn’t feel right after he was continuously vomiting, so after not being able to sleep, I knew I needed to get him somewhere quick. I’ve been in the animal health industry for a long time & have always heard great things about VEG, but they weren’t exactly close to us - and because the situation wasn’t too dire, I knew I wanted to get him here so he could be in the best possible hands. I am so beyond thankful I did because not only did we discover that he actually had a UTI, but the care he received at VEG Alpharetta was beyond anything I could’ve ever imagined. I am so very thankful for both the Saturday night shift & the Sunday day shift doctors & techs who took such wonderful care of my boy. A few years ago, Pig’s brother passed away from undiagnosed feline HCM, so any little thing wrong with my babies absolutely terrifies me. Because of VEG’s lightning-quick care, I was able to go home for the day and enjoy Mother’s Day with my mom while feeling at peace with knowing that Pig was getting the absolute best care. To everyone that I had the absolute pleasure of interacting with today, thank you so much. Thank you for helping Pig, of course, but thank you for also helping every single animal that comes through your doors. I know first hand that your job is not easy and it’s not for the weak, but all of you made it look so easy. You all are exemplary at what you do and I sincerely could not be more grateful. ❤️

The receptionist Fantasia I can't thank enough for her kindness and attention she gave as we said goodbye to our beloved dog MJ. The entire staff sprang into action as soon as we walked in the door. We were transferred to VEG because our initial emergency room was on diversion. Not knowing what to expect, I was highly satisfied with every aspect of VEG. When we arrived they were expecting us and flew into admission and treatment. The quote I was given was 4,500 less than others I was given at the initial emergency room. I was shocked when they asked me and my son if we wanted a bed to stay the night with my dog. Usually Vet Emergency clinics take your dog and you don't see them until you pay and are discharged. The staff ran through my pups treatment plan and offered us snacks. The nurse talked with my son and showed him the other animals. When we decided to go home to sleep, they promised texts and phone calls. The next day I was welcomed in to sit with my baby. They took extra precaution not to discharge him until they felt he was ready. They did not rush his discharge to get rid of him... actually I'm almost certain they would have kept him another night because he was so loved. VEG changed my perspective of what Vet Emergency Hospitals could and should be. I will be bypassing my usual Emergency Clinic and coming straight to VEG next time. I can't say enough about the staff...especially the night staff!!!! e I cannot for the life of me remember the names of the staff. The first 1 was the night nurse who was in charge of the admitted animals... glasses, blond hair..super sweet. The second was the day vet tech...guy, so kind and I watched him kiss all of the babies like they were his own...smells like vanilla if that helps narrow it down. Also the doctors both night and day were pleasant and thorough with explaining his condition and plan for treatment!

This was not my first time at VEG, but it was my first time at the Federal Way location. It was an extremely busy Saturday when I pulled in with Mini, my 5 year old cat, who was having issues urinating. Our wait was very long, as Mini was still extremely lively and early into her urination issues (only having started having issues that day), so we were bottom of the priority list. The team had new, high priority/critical patients coming in almost every hour during my 9 hour stay, and still, one of the vet techs took the time to check in with me several times while waiting to be seen to make sure Mini and I were comfortable. The team were great and thanked me for my patience and understanding. I got to stay by Mini during her ultrasound, and Dr. Ana explained calmly everything she was seeing and what it meant. Mini was ultimately diagnosed with a UTI; i asked to specifically get liquid versions of Mini's antibiotics and pain meds, and Dr. Ana happily accommodated my request. I brought Mini back in today to check her bladder, as she had not needed to pee most of the day yesterday, and the vet in today checked her bladder and happily reported she was empty! My visit today, Monday at 3pm, took only 5 minutes, but the peace of mind was worth more than money could buy. I'm grateful for the compassion and kindness of the VEG team.

I cannot say enough good things about VEG ER for Pets. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff was patient, compassionate, and respectful, not only toward our cat but toward us as worried pet parents. Throughout our visit, team members consistently checked in on both people and pets, making what could have been a very stressful experience feel much more manageable. What impressed me most was watching the staff work together. The level of teamwork, communication, and cooperation was honestly astounding and unlike anything I’ve seen before in a veterinary setting. Everyone seemed genuinely invested in providing the best possible care. We were evaluated by several doctors, each of whom was thorough, knowledgeable, and willing to answer questions. Their collaborative approach gave me a great deal of confidence that the diagnosis was accurate and that nothing was being overlooked. I was also pleasantly surprised by the cost. Given the quality of care, attention to detail, advanced diagnostics, and expertise involved, I expected the visit to be significantly more expensive than it was. If any of my furry family members ever have an emergency in the future, VEG will absolutely be my first choice. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional emergency veterinary care.

I cannot recommend VEG Sandy enough! They deserve a 100/10 rating for the incredible care they provided. I had to bring my cat, Jack, here on a Saturday morning when he was extremely sick. He was suffering from a very high fever, severe abdominal pain, could not eat, and was completely lethargic. I was incredibly anxious and scared, but the moment we walked through the doors, everything changed. Their unique protocol is a complete game-changer. Unlike other emergency vets, VEG allows you to stay by your pet's side the entire time. The doctors, nurses, and the entire staff were exceptionally compassionate, professional, and sweet. They explained every single step and were completely transparent with the costs before doing anything, which gave me so much peace of mind. They managed to break Jack's fever, treat his stomach pain, and brought him back to life. I am sharing 5 pictures: the first 3 show how sick and weak he was that morning, and the last 2 are from today—completely healthy, happy, and full of energy! Thank you so much to the wonderful team at VEG Sandy for saving my baby and treating us with so much love. You are truly the best!

Both of our dogs had to go to the emergency vet yesterday, which was a bummer Fortunately, Mykayla and the team at Veg were so awesome and took such good care of Rad and Barker. When we got there Barker our 90 pound Great Pyrenees couldn’t walk. The team brought a stretcher to help us get her out of the truck and rolled her immediately into a room. With each step of her treatment, they were just so sweet and caring and cared for her as if she were their own pet. They took extra care to do as many x-ray pictures as it took to properly diagnose the problem with her knee. They were very detailed and covered her history and made sure that there were no complications related cancer that she had in the past. Mykayla and Joey had helped treat Rad earlier in the day and they made a point to ask how he was doing after he left. There were just so many special things they did to take special care of our dogs. Too many things to list, but we wouldn’t consider going anywhere else in the future and highly recommend the vets at Veg.

My Frenchie, Romeo, developed a sudden, severe ear infection overnight. While we were walking, he began screaming in pain and shaking his head uncontrollably. Being in Kingman, AZ, on a Saturday night with no vets open was heartbreaking and terrifying; I felt completely powerless watching him suffer through a night of whining and crying. As a truck driver, I was incredibly relieved to find this 24/7 hospital along my route in Henderson, NV, on Sunday morning. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredible. Dr. Lorenza Malaguti is truly amazing, she is skilled, caring, and showed so much love towards Romeo. The nurses were equally attentive and clearly passionate about their patients. Unfortunately I forgot the name of the nurses helping Romeo. It is now Monday night, and Romeo is already back to his happy self running, jumping, and pain-free! He’s even back to doing what he loves most: destroying cardboard boxes! I am beyond grateful for the service here. I didn’t mind the wait at all; I saw other owners coming in with even more serious emergencies and was happy to wait while they were helped (that definitely tells you that the staff prioritizes emergencies correctly, which is a sign of a well-run hospital). They took amazing care of my baby, and that is what matters most. Also, a quick tip for other Frenchie owners: These dogs require specific care and the bills can add up fast. I’m so glad I have pet insurance and highly recommend it to others!

To the AMAZING staff that helped me, my husband, and our baby boy on Christmas morning, THANK YOU for doing everything you could, under stressful circumstances, on Christmas Day, to help my reactive and aggressive dog, Hurley, safely get tinsel out of his stomach. It has taken me so long to write a proper thank you because shortly after this incident, we had to euthanize our boy. I am still actively grieving, but I want you to know how much you are appreciated, especially under the extreme stress we and our dog were under. You all risked yourselves to help my dog without hesitation. He snapped over and over at the air, wanted to get as far as he could from you sweet people as possible, and you still tried your best to instruct me to help as his trusted person, get a cone on, give him dose after dose to vomit the tinsel - and it worked. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for taking care of us and our boy that morning. Upon returning home from RI, we had to say goodbye to our boy due to his aggression soon after. This was one of the last awful memories for us and stressful events for him after years of trying to help him, manage triggers, medications, and consulting with experts to keep him happy and everyone safe. He was at his lowest seeing you all, and you showed him and us grace that made it just a little easier, and that meant so much. People are often quick to blame, not understand, or lack empathy - but not your team. Thank you a million times over for your quick action, thoughtful consideration in reducing the stress and any procedures for Hurley, and for your compassion for animals and people alike. I will never forget that day for more than one reason, the second being how you responded with huge hearts. Thank you, you all are actual angels on earth.

Dr. Smith, Dr. Miletty, and all of the veterinary assistants were so kind, helpful, patient, and transparent with my husband and I and they were very sweet, caring, and gentle with our cat, Pipperton. We had few symptoms and not much information about what was wrong with him when we brought him in, but they were quick to assist him and they did not diminish our concerns. He had a mysterious issue, but the doctors continued to research his case and they were very communicative about what procedures they were doing, what they believed his medical condition was, and what next steps could be. If only medical professionals for people were just as wonderful as the staff at this veterinary ER! We are so grateful to everyone who helped Pipperton while he was there and made his stay comfortable and safe! Thank you so much!

My old dog was attacked. While on a leash a younger dog broke out of its backyard and went straight for my dog... My wife called ahead while I rushed Randy (my dog) to VEG. We were promptly greeted with an employee holding open the door for us. It was Saturday 04/19 and they had a lot of patience in their facility. Randy's initial care was given out in the lobby but I was grateful that he was given attention right away. As soon as space was available he was gurned in and stitched up. I'm so pleased and thankful for the professional and loving care my old dog Randy received, I can absolutely recommend Veterinary Emergency Group 👍 Randy is recovering nicely 😃

I am so grateful for the emergency pet clinic in Encinitas. I brought my cat in after he started throwing up repeatedly, and I was extremely worried. From the moment we arrived, the staff was compassionate, calm, and reassuring. They treated my cat with such care and took the time to explain everything clearly, which helped ease my anxiety during a very stressful situation. The veterinarian (Dr Campbell) & vet techs were thorough, kind, and never made me feel rushed. You can truly tell they care about both pets and their owners. I’m incredibly thankful for the quick attention and professionalism we received. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who needs emergency care for their pet—you’ll be in excellent hands. The team did blood work, X-rays, ultrasound , fluid, etc. They were so efficient and thorough I included a photo of my kitty before going to the clinic (looking lethargic next to water bowl) and him immediately when we got home (so relieved).
