I cannot speak more highly of this facility and the entire staff of doctors, nurses, and assistants here. The facility is unique in that the pets can be with their owners at all times. There is no “let’s take them to the back and take a look”. The owner can be with their pet through testing (except x-ray room for obvious reasons) and examinations. I think this makes both the pet and the owner comfortable - the pet feels much less anxious with its owner by its side ; the owner feels more at ease because they see what is being done and are part of the process. This speaks to the palpable feeling that VEG prioritizes absolute transparency with pet owners. Despite the mainly open concept design of this facility, there are also several private rooms as should a pet/owner prefer or require privacy. Owners are able to stay overnight in these rooms with their pets should the owners elect to be present for the entire recovery process. As for the team that works at this location, I cannot speak more highly of them. Everyone is kind, caring, patient, and thorough. The doctors are easily accessible and always happy to answer any questions. Doctors Crossfield (Lead ER doctor) and Chennault saved my dog’s life. My dog needed emergency surgery due to bloat and they both operated on him during the middle of the night. Both doctors had experience in the particular surgery that my dog needed and felt comfortable performing it. This is exactly the kind of transparency and honesty that made me feel safe to trust them with my dog. I chose to stay a few nights after surgery as I believe that the first few days after major surgery are the most critical and precarious. The quality of aftercare that the doctors and staff provided could not be better. The communication amongst team members allowed for seamless transitions during shift changes. Everyone here is kind and competent at the very least. One final thing to note regarding location: I was hesitant at first because of the location (due to this area being a place that transients frequent), but felt like coming here was my only option due to my perceived sense of urgency of my pet’s condition. However, my concerns were alleviated when I saw that appropriate measures were taken to ensure that the facility was safe and secure. While the exterior door is unlocked, there is an interior door people must enter through to get inside the facility. This interior door is locked until a staff member unlocks it. Additionally, they have overnight security that patrols the exterior of the facility.

Every staff member and doctor who worked with us went above and beyond. Even as the number of patients coming in continued to increase quickly, they never allowed the stress or pressure to affect the level of care and compassion they showed. They remained calm, attentive, and genuinely caring toward every pet and family they were helping. That says so much about the kind of team they are, and it definitely did not go unnoticed.

Beyond blessed I took my baby girl Rossie to this vet! I honestly don’t know what would’ve happened with her if I would’ve not taken her on time! Rossie got there with her heart beat extremely low close to almost passing away! I was fortunate for the whole team to take care of my baby girl she was never left alone. They did everything to help her and we were lucky and blessed she made it through! My babies heart went from 40 to 120 🥺♥️🙏 although treatment is extremely expensive I am happy my baby survived and was Diagnosed with Addison disease. I will forever be thankful it’s like they brought my baby back to life.

This place ROCKS!!! I brought my cat 5050 in for a foxtail in her eye and they did the deed. Reasonable fees. I’ve been doing TNR ferals for 30-ish years. I have to say this place is the nicest I’ve ever been to. And a week later her follow up showed she is 100% good to good. Rocket crew at VEG. I’m so glad I’m a VEGetarian~ 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The most welcoming and compassionate pet hospital we’ve ever visited. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and our little girl, Vivi, was immediately triaged. Two vet technicians and a veterinarian examined her right away, carefully gathered her history, and made sure she received pain medication as quickly as possible. Hannah, the technician manager, was absolutely wonderful. During the chaos of the traumatic incident, Vivi had a potty accident, and tech Hannah gently cleaned her up with such kindness and dignity. The compassion we witnessed throughout our whole visit felt so genuine and heartfelt. We were also given a soft towel to wrap Vivi in while we waited, a small gesture that meant so much during such a stressful time. Kim at the front desk, along with another lovely receptionist, offered us drinks and snacks and chatted with us as though we were neighbors and friends. The entire atmosphere was very warm, and welcoming. One thing we especially loved was the transparency of the hospital. We could see the team working, and it was obvious that everyone was incredibly busy, and completely focused on providing exceptional care. When it was time for Vivi’s procedure, we were able to stand beside her and watch the veterinarians work, which brought us tremendous peace of mind for a helicopter mom such as myself. Throughout our visit we met several members of the team as shifts changed, including Dr. Cohen, Dr. Lauren, and technician Christopher. I only wish I could remember everyone’s names because every single person treated both Vivi and us with extraordinary compassion, professionalism, and respect. I cannot recommend this hospital highly enough!

VEG is phenomenal. I cannot express enough how knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and thorough they are. Yesterday was the second time our mini Aussie has had a vaccine reaction requiring emergency care. The first time was full blown anaphylaxis.. this time was a bad case of hypersensitivity. Dr Sullivan was incredible, spent time with us, and answered tons of questions. The Vet nurse Cass was also amazing. This team, and VEG as a whole deserves to be recognized daily for the incredible work they do. I hope VEG continues to grow, every pet should have access to the kind of care they give. We had the idea to make them a care package to say thanks , I’m sure they don’t get as many thank you’s as they deserve ( Mia helped us make it ) THANK YOU ALLLL !!!!

The receptionist Fantasia I can't thank enough for her kindness and attention she gave as we said goodbye to our beloved dog MJ. The entire staff sprang into action as soon as we walked in the door. My dog was almost 16 years old and was fading. The entire staff handled us with compassion and empathy in what was a heartbreaking moment. It was if for that moment they became an extended part of our family and I will never forget that. Thank you VEG ER! Michael "MJ"Jackson 8/19/2010- 4/22/2026🌈🐶💛

I don't usually leave reviews, but this place deserved one. Brought my dog Scout in for vomiting and diarrhea, and honestly the experience exceeded every expectation I had for an emergency vet. Everyone from the Scott who helped with the payments, to the technicians, and the amazing doctor was genuinely kind and treated Scout like he mattered. Before doing anything, they explained every recommendation, walked me through costs upfront, and answered my questions without making me feel rushed or pressured. The doctor was thorough, communicated clearly, and made sure I left knowing exactly what to watch for. Most importantly, it felt like they cared for Scout like he was their own pet, not just another patient coming through the door. Emergency vet care isn't cheap, but I left feeling like every dollar was well spent on a team that actually cared about getting Scout the right outcome. Wouldn't hesitate to bring him back if he ever needed emergency care again. Hope I never have to. Thank you. 🐾

A couple of months ago, we had to rush our dog, Acadia, here after we thought she had ingested rat poison. They got her back within minutes and started treatment immediately. Their quick actions more than likely saved her life. The doctors and staff were incredibly caring, compassionate, and kept us informed every step of the way during such a stressful time. We are so grateful for the amazing care they gave Acadia. Thank you all so much!

I want to share my excellent experience at the VEG ER for Pets veterinary clinic. I brought my pet, Texas, and we received exceptional care from the very first moment. Dr. Abedelhadi was highly professional, attentive, and dedicated to explaining every detail of my pet's condition, which gave me great peace of mind. Nurses Kelly and Ashley, along with assistants Sam and Cally, were incredibly kind throughout the visit and attentive to every need. I also want to highlight the receptionist, Jackie, who welcomed us with a very warm and efficient attitude. The entire team was prepared even before we arrived, demonstrating their commitment and organization. Overall, the care we received was warm, professional, and deeply compassionate. I felt I was in good hands, and I would undoubtedly recommend this place to anyone seeking quality veterinary care for their pet—because our pets are part of the family.

I had to take my dog to VEG ER tonight and they were so nice the whole time! Super busy but still checked in on us several times, while we waited for pets with more serious issues to be helped. I was asked three times if I wanted water, tea or coffee. I watched them race to help a woman who ran in with her Frenchie that was having breathing problems. I watched them comfort an upset couple. I watched as they let a family with kids hug their dog when it was asleep from sedatives, and while they surgically removed a foxtail that made its way halfway up the pups leg. I even saw them treating a python! The vet gave me lots of info about what they thought was wrong with my dog, explained what they could do, and gave me a quote before doing anything. They said “absolutely”, when I asked if they could try to help him without the light sedation (didn’t work well - so he got the shot), and let me help try to hold him still when they gave the sedation shot (he’s 70lbs), and again when they did the procedure. They didn’t act scared of his aggressive behavior when he was in pain/scared, my former vet acted afraid him twice before just from him jerking his head away when she was checking his ears and wanted him sedated. They didn’t push any extra pills or procedures or diagnosis’ he didn’t need AND I left there with a bill less than a what I’ve paid for ear infections at the former vet! They were very busy and I was only in there a couple hours. I definitely recommend them.

VEG ER provided incredible care during one of the hardest moments with our dog Milli. From the start, she was treated with urgency, compassion, and expertise. Dr. Hoffman did an amazing job stabilizing her on arrival. Dr. Charity showed true dedication in helping get her strong enough to come home, and Dr. Miller was consistently kind and caring throughout her stay. A special thank you to Brenden, her nurse, who went above and beyond and treated Milli like his own. We’re also deeply grateful to Morgan, who was always attentive and caring despite being pregnant. Thank you as well to the rest of the nursing staff, including Christina, Cassidy, and Dom, along with management and the director for their support. Even during a scheduled power outage, they brought in a generator to ensure her care never stopped. We will forever be grateful—thanks to this team, Milli is home with us. ❤️

My dog needed emergency care and VEG ER for Pets was a godsend. The staff were all compassionate and professional. The facility was clean and in great condition. All the fears and questions I had regarding my pet were answered with great compassion. I never once felt like just another customer and really felt that the staff loved my pet just as much as I do. I hope we never have another emergency but know I can count on VEG ER for Pets to provide valuable care. THANK YOU so much to the professionals at VEG ER for Pets, you were there in our time of need. Love Bailey and his dog dad Frank!

VEG took amazing care of our cat, Paisley, over the weekend when her regular vet was closed. From immediate triage, to the care she needed following that, she was treated with care, compassion, and remarkable thoroughness. The staff treated her humans the same way, explaining her care, her diagnosis, (pancreatitis,) and discussing next steps with us and seeking our approval for each stage of her care. Costs were discussed up front. I was expecting her treatment to cost a good bit more than it did, so that was a pleasant surprise. Thank you, VEG, for taking care of our family.

A new concept in vet care. Open concept office. Exceptional care from asst to tech to nurse to vet. A bit pricey but not like VCA. I went in on a Sunday morning at 6:30am so prices should be a premium. And the talent and equipment are upgraded. Great care for my sick kitty. This is now my go to for emergency vet care.

I brought my dog, Rue, to VEG and had such a great experience. From the moment we walked in, both doctors on shift immediately greeted us. Dr. Mohan did Rue’s exam and ultrasound right in front of us and explained everything as she went. Dr. Weston came over just to love on Rue and check in on us. The nurses, Laura and Alex, were so gentle with Rue during her blood draw and IV catheter placement. Every single person was so kind. I’m so grateful for the care Rue received and would recommend VEG Fort Myers to anyone who needs emergency care for their pet.

I took my American Bully to VEG because she wasn't eating and couldn't keep down water. Dr. Lynch did a thorough exam and the sonogram showed that my girl had somehow swallowed a small rubber ball which was obstructing her intestines. Surgery was our only recourse. Through my fear and tears Dr. Lynch was extremely patient, kind & sympathetic. While I left her in their capable care with tears I had absolute trust that Dr. Lynch and the VEG staff would take excellent care of my fur baby. Dr. Lynch called me with an update after the surgery and Dr. Winter was in constant communication with me the following day giving me updates on her recovery. I also have to mention Hannah who kept coming over to check on me and offer snacks and water while we waited for them to set up for surgery. Every single employee was kind, patient and sympathetic, not only to my fear but to all the other parents who bought in their pets for care. I highly recommend VEG if you ever find yourself in a situation where your pet needs emergency care.

Everything about the care was amazing. The staff cared for her immediately. They explained everything as we went along. They were so patient and understanding, and let me get comfortable that my dog didn’t have viable options. Everyone involved and especially Dr. Bluhm was fantastic. In the end, I brought her home for a short stay, but she was gone within eight hours, so really nothing to be done. I will really miss her.

My experience was great! We were immediately seen. Every encounter was friendly and insightful. They really took their time with my anxious kitty. I was very satisfied with my visit.

I brought my kitty, Lucky, in on a very busy Saturday, holiday wknd night. They immediately assessed my cat and kept me up to date as they managed all of the other animals. I can’t say enough how professional and compassionate the entire staff was. I was so impressed watching them flow like a well oiled machine with caring and compassionate for every animal and human. They saved my cat’s life. He unexpectedly went into Diabetic Ketoacidosis. They got him stable, were very caring with him and made sure I got to take him home. the entire staff was phenomenal! I wish I remembered the names of everyone I saw the evening of 7/12, but I was truly so impressed with the entire staff. Being able to speak to a vet on the phone was a game changer, and I was seen immediately when I walked in with my dogs. The doctor and all of the techs were incredibly kind, sweet with my dogs, and very quick. I’ve never been in and out of an emergency vet so quickly! Although I don’t want to have to come back, I definitely would return to this location if my dogs ever need it again.

Dr. Emily Rue and her team of techs are truly extraordinary. Having been to other emergency hospitals in the past, I have yet to come across such a caring and dedicated team as VEG. They showed extraordinary care for both my girl Millie and myself. They went out of their way to help us and I cannot recommend their services more. The experience itself was great - being able to be by my girl’s side throughout her treatment meant the world to us. They even had a sofa bed that we were able to sleep on together while we awaited her results. All in all, I cannot recommend the team and the facility itself more. I will not go anywhere else for emergency care in the future.

My wife & I are beyond grateful for the entire Veg care team! We both had low confidence our pup would make it through this “storm.” From the moment we stepped through doors the bed side manners, the support from understanding and helping us make tough decisions, the love and care they showed to our Pup to encourage her to fight through everything, and to each team member doing whatever they could to help support us all by making us comfortable however they possibly could….. no words can express how beyond grateful we are for each and every amazing individual working there. A special recognition to Dr Lee, Dr Timberlake, Miss Emily, Taryn, Chelsea, & Sam. You all were truly our Angels through out this entire experience. Each courageously steered our ship through this storm helping my wife and I keep faith that God would see us through this through the hands of you all. We observed how the entire team over two days, balanced putting every patient (and their owner) was given full individual attention, care, and support for. Each of you all are amazing individuals and admire you all! Also to the Director who came to us to offer starbucks- even a small gesture like that meant soooo much us- thank you! We have definitely decided that for the future, we will only be going here and would recommend here to everyone for their pet care emergency needs

I arrived a couple of weeks ago with my heart and my mom's broken in thousands pieces getting ready for an awful outcome. One of my 4 legged babies was agonizing on my arms, we were a mess barely holding it by God's grace, the team received us and right away started putting things in motion to take care of my Fortu, and comforting us as well , I only have praises for the team at Veg, the nurses and Dr.Kennedy Tool, by the morning next things were so different and everything looked and felt just like a bad dream. I have 6 fur babies and Fortu is the youngest one and just as important as my senior dog, I hope to have kids one day soon so I can tell the story and they can meet my sweet Fortunato my most precious one ❤️ worth his weight in gold. Thank you guys At Veg for doing your best, my sweet mother and I are so grateful 🙏.

My very orange cat got his tail caught in the door. Dr Boiskin and the team at VEG did an amazing job caring for him. Pancho may be a little shorter now but he is doing OK. I would highly recommend using veg er before any other place around. They were super efficient, caring and just amazing. They do not just try to raise your bill for unnecessary work like some vets we have been to in the past. They actually care about your animal. Everyone from the receptionist to the doctor were amazing and I’d like to thank them for taking such good care Jack for us, from the time we walked in with him until we left. They gave us the time we needed to spend with him before his final moments and it is all appreciated. We had Veronica, Amanda, Jennifer.and Mei to name a few. Thank you all again.

Went to VEG ER in Elk Grove, CA on Sunday 6/21/26. Let me start with they were absolutely wonderful! I have heard great things from friends in the vet field and I follow the VEG instagram as well. They definitely did not disappoint. My soul dog, Lilly, has kidney disease and heart disease and was fitting the symptoms for possible kidney failure. Nolan did our intake and was very kind and down to earth. Dr. Huntyr Mcmurty was Lilly’s doctor and she was compassionate, kind, caring, and listened very well. Dr. Mcmurty laid out what our options are and we agreed to proceed with blood work to check kidney values and go from there.after blood work supporting what I expected, extremely increased kidney values, Dr. Mcmurty explained our next options for hospital care or supportive care until humane euthanasia, of which we decided to do the latter since Lilly is 15.5yrs old. Overall the experience, as hard as it is to be with your sick fur baby, was very pleasant because of the wonderful care team and staff. I regret that I didn’t catch everyone’s name that helped Lilly, but each person was exceptional. All this to say it was very busy, a bit short staffed, and yet they still managed to remain calm, triage very well, and provide excellent care. If anyone needs an emergency vet I will always recommend VEG. Oh and those curious of pricing: with a sick and elderly dog I already expect to pay at least $500, and with ER vets I thought it would be significantly more, but was under $600 for an exam, blood work, medication, and subcutaneous fluids. So in my opinion very reasonable and well priced. Thank you VEG for all you do. Vets, vet techs, nurses, assistants, you are all amazing and no amount of praise can describe my gratitude towards you all. Thank you ❤️

It’s safe to say Priscillie was NOT happy with ME when I brought her home but she received the best care ever and I’m so happy I tried this place out! I cannot thank the staff enough for how kind, patient, and caring they were. I got to be as involved as possible to help ease P’s anxiety and they went above and beyond with all aspects of her care! It was a great experience overall. The care was expedient and thorough, and the comfort of my cat was second in importance only to his health. The techs and vet were all very sweet to him and did their best to put him at ease. One treatment was given while he sat with me on the couch because he was more comfortable there than the exam table. In fact, everyone was wonderful, from the woman who checked us in, to the vet who examined him, to the techs who provided treatment. I highly recommend VEG in Fresh Pond.

I had a great experience here. My cat was bit by a dog pretty badly. When we walked in he was immediately evaluated by a vet and then given pain medicine for the wait. We were allowed to wait in the car until a room was available so he was comfortable the entire time. Once we got a room there was quite a wait due to some emergencies that came in. We were checked on and communicated with during the wait. Once it was our turn, his wounds were cleans and sutured. Everything was explained and all of my questions were answered. I was allowed to be there for the entire procedure. I was also charged exactly what I was quoted when I came in (which is expensive because it’s an emergency vet and they can’t operate for free). My kitty ended up requiring extra anesthesia which I was not billed for. Everyone on this team is absolutely an expert at what they do. I’m so glad this is where I chose to bring my cat.

When one of my worst fears came true and my cat Penny experienced a life-threatening urinary obstruction at 3am, her VEG team not only saved her life but also showed a level of compassion and dedication that’s hard to find elsewhere. Thank you so much to her team — Dr. E, Dr. Neal, Dr. Caldwell, Megan, Hannah, Nola, and everyone else involved in her care — for taking such incredible care of Penny and turning one of the most terrifying experiences of my life into one where I left feeling relieved, with my best friend still by my side. Her doctors performed life-saving surgery before dawn and went above and beyond in every aspect of her care, including patiently answering my endless list of questions. Her technicians were incredibly kind, hardworking, knowledgeable, and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed to be as comfortable as possible during our stay. As any emergency visit understandably is, our visit was expensive, but the team helped me save money in every way they could. I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am for VEG. I’ll never forget the compassion, skill, and reassurance they showed me during the scariest night of my life.

I’d recommend this place to any of my animal loving friends & family for all of their pets emergencies. Brought in my dog, Bailey, last week for an allergic reaction & she was cared for immediately. My experience was great! We were immediately seen. Every encounter was friendly and insightful. They really took their time with my anxious kitty. Provided great care and you can see the compassion they have for the fur babies. This was my first time visiting Er for pets. If need be, VEG will be my first choice. I was very satisfied with my visit.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot thank the team at VEG ER for Pets enough for the incredible care they gave my dog during such a frightening time. From the moment we walked in, everyone treated us with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Dr. Anghel was outstanding—thorough, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Nurse Samantha was so caring and attentive, making both my dog and me feel comfortable. Cat, the assistant, was gentle and compassionate, and Brittany made the entire process smooth and welcoming. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make sure my dog received the best possible care. They truly treated her as if she were their own. During a stressful emergency, they gave us peace of mind, and I will always be grateful for their dedication and kindness. Thank you, Dr. Anghel, Samantha, Cat, and Brittany, for your exceptional care. I highly recommend VEG ER for Pets to anyone who wants a team that genuinely cares about both pets and their families. My little jack Russell was in a lot of pain. I called and they were extremely professional and polite. I can't sit in small rooms and that was not a problem. They immediately started checking her right when we arrived. They took really good care of my pup. I highly recommend this animal hospital. Again I highly recommend this animal hospital.
