The love of our lives ingested something unknown which left him in and out of a coma for three days. The entire staff at Veg took such wonderful care of him AND all of our family members that wanted to be by our dogs side. At the end of each shift the oncoming staff was completely updated and on the same page as the previous. They were patient, empathetic and respectful of our decisions and feelings. Spending hours and hours there, we saw first hand how each pet was treated with love and kindness. The staff works well together, collaborates and supports each other. Our family was comforted in a time that could have been one of the worst experiences for us. We are so thankful the amazing staff at VEG saved our dogs life.

We brought our Chihuahua puppy there Saturday. He had ingested some hydrangeas and moon plants (be careful out there gardeners). I actually really appreciate the open concept as it's a comfort to know there are eyes on our dog and we're not locked away in some room. He ended up needing to be admitted and we were so happy that they let us stay with him the entire time. The entire staff was amazing and you can tell these folks love animals. Special shout out to Dr. Toussaint and to Jake, Angie, Danielle, Kris, Max and Carmel. We were there for 12 hours on my birthday no less. They went above and beyond. 🙏

I had one of the scariest nights of my life when I came home and found my dog, Rocky, with a large open gash on his chest. I was panicked and didn’t know what to do, but from the moment I walked into VEG ER for Pets, the staff took over with such calmness, compassion, and professionalism. Dr. Michala Frederic was absolutely amazing. She was kind, reassuring, and took the time to explain everything clearly while moving quickly to care for Rocky. The entire team made such a terrifying situation feel manageable, and I truly felt like my dog was in the best hands. You can tell they genuinely care—not just about the animals, but about the families who love them. Thanks to Dr. Frederic and her team, Rocky is doing so much better, and I am beyond grateful. They truly saved my sweet baby boy. I will never forget how they treated us that night. Highly recommend VEG ER for Pets to anyone who wants their pets in loving, capable hands.

WOWWW! Just wow! The service and compassion provided by this place, especially the nurse manager Alecia & Dr Doll, are Incredible. This place will go above and beyond to help you every step of the way. They truly care and it shows! My husband was out of town and I was unable to lift our dog Girl into the truck on my own. She had a severe infection in her leg and needed help asap! The staff offered to come to my home and help load her into my truck! When they arrived to our home plans changed and I was unable to take her to the vet. The staff was so understanding and offered to come inside to assess her condition. After they left they stayed in contact with me checking in on Girls state through the night and next morning. The next day I was able to get her to their office and we were met with open arms and love. We are forever grateful for this place in our time of need! We highly recommend them!

We walked in and were assigned a room to get assessed right away. The intake desk and nurses did a check up on our pet bunny who had an upset stomach. The doctor nurses and staff were attentive to Louie, and explained every bit of the process with us. We were there for a few hours, but that's what to expect from any ER. They had water and some snack for us while we waited for his X-rays and diagnostics to come back. We are grateful for the attentiveness of the doctor and her entire staff for our bunny's recover from his belly. I can't thank you enough for his care. If you have a pet .. this is the ER to go to.

Our sweet Stella had to go to VEG ER Frisco on June 6th around 4am. She had given birth to (6) pups at home, but the (7) pup had not been birth after (3) hours. During the process of her giving birth, I called their office to ask a few question (first timer here) and Dr. Koons was very informative through what to expect. After making the right call, the (7) baby could not make it into this world at home and we headed to see Dr. Koons in person. She had the room all ready for us when we arrived. When I say her and all other staff went above and beyond for us is an understatement. Dr. Koons is a genuine soul that puts care and detail into all she does. We knew Stella was at least pregnant with 10 pups. After the 10th was born at the ER (past Dr. Koons shift), she went back for an x-ray, surprise, we had two more!! Y’all!! Twelve puppies!! Thank you, Kaitlyn, Arianna, Abby, Beth, Dr. Koons and Dr. Nelson for the outstanding service and care of our family/pups. Everything was performed right in front of us and that was important not to be shut in a room while our Stella was behind closed doors in another room. Since birth, I have called back serval times when our regular vets office was closed. Outstanding service each time. My heart cannot express our gratitude enough!! Sincerely - Stella & Family paws up - high five 🐾♥️🙌👏

I cannot say enough about the staff and our experience this week at VEG in Snellville. Our 12-year-old Golden Retriever, Madyson, was immediately triaged and taken for X-rays upon arrival. She was suffering from a sudden GDV (bloat), a life-threatening condition involving a twisted stomach that requires emergency surgery. Given her age, the potential complications and recovery challenges, and her ongoing struggles with Cushing’s disease and thyroid disease over the past two years, we made the incredibly difficult decision to let her go peacefully and return to her Heavenly Creator. The tears continue to flow because Madyson was truly the best dog. While our hearts are broken, we know we made the most loving and compassionate decision for her. The entire team at VEG was exceptional. They were kind, compassionate, patient, and willing to answer every question we had. They never rushed us and allowed us to spend as much time with Madyson as we needed. I am so grateful to have a 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital so close to home. I trust their expertise and their evaluation completely. While I hope we never need emergency services for our other dogs, it brings me comfort knowing that VEG is there if we do. God bless each and every one of you. Thank you for being there for us during one of the hardest moments of our lives.

We had an emergency situation with our cat on a weekend so we took him into VEG ER and worked with Dr. Crystal. She was amazing- super helpful, supportive and engaged. Our cat received a variety of services while there and was treated like one of their own. The staff also shared records in a timely manner with our regular vet which was helpful for ongoing care. I highly recommend VEG ER!

Thank you to the staff that was working the night shift on Friday 5/29. I had to bring my senior dog in for an emergency tumor rupture that unfortunately led to his having to be put down. The front desk person and veterinary team were very attentive and had him on an exam table with an ultrasound going within moments of us entering the building. Everyone was very kind, professional and caring while doing what must be a very difficult part of the job. Highly recommended.

My blue heeler received amazing care here. No one wants to go to the emergency vet, but this experience was as painless as it could possibly be. The dr saw our dog within minutes of walking in and communicated a care plan quickly. They provided a quiet room for us because our dog is anxious. The nurses were knowledgeable, efficient, and comforting. My dog was admitted for the night, and they provided EVERYTHING so I could stay with her: bed, phone charger, toothbrush, coffee, snacks… I would never have expected that from an emergency vet. Not only that, but my dog received a very high quality of care, and she is now home and well. I could not be more grateful.

My pet cat was quite ill. We were seen quickly and all the staff members were wonderful. They seemed to be working together well. We were seen quickly, my cat was assessed and treated quickly and appropriately. We were able to go home in a couple hours with a diagnosis and treatment that worked well. My cat was less than impressed with the temperature taking and suprapubic urine draw. My husband and I, human health care providers, were very pleased with the care. I let him sit on the deck with supervision the next day. We were surprised by the open concept treatment area. We saw so many sweet animals and we were praying for all of them. If we ever need ER vet care again, we are driving straight to VEG.

My dog, Saki, was admitted to VEG with a life-threatening fever of 106°F and was hospitalized for two nights. As soon as we arrived, Dr. Beene immediately started treatment. During the ultrasound, I appreciated how she gave details of each organ in real time so I could understand what was going on. The next morning, Dr. Zaremba was incredibly thorough. She took the time to answer all of my questions while starting second line treatments and explaining next steps. I’m an anxious dog mom, but never felt like a burden to the staff. Everyone treated us with kindness and compassion. Sarah went above and beyond to be proactive and patient with a fearful dog, Ashley was so helpful and caring when I was exhausted without sleep, and I am so appreciative to Nicky for placing me & saki in a private room so we could stay together during the hospitalization. I wish I had a full list of everyone’s name, but anyone who helped us - whether it was checking a temp, changing an IV/med, or physically carrying my dog outside to use the bathroom when she was too weak to walk - your care made a difference. Saki is my soul dog - thank you to the VEG team for giving us more time together. 💜

I brought my senior cat Sylvester in for a vet visit. He's 20yrs old, and I felt the quality of his life was declining. They explained to me what I was feeling was real, and they were happy I brought him in. Even though he was my friend, he was suffering. They advised that it was best to think of his quality of life. I put him down that day, it was the hardest thing I have ever done, I just couldn't fathom having him suffer any longer. The staff here was very patient, sat with me, hugged me, and were super empathic. They explained everything and I felt they really saw how much he meant to me. I have never been to a vet that took that kinda time and patience with me, they were honest, and made me feel he was safe. I left there upset over my best friend, but also happy on how well we were taken care of. I cant imagine what these folks go through on a day to day. I take my hat off to you for such an amazing experience. I will absolutely refer anyone looking for a vet to come here. These are professionals that are real people that actually care about you and your best friend. I cant even explain how much I truly apricated all these folks did for me. I came back a week later on the 1 week mark of his passing, and brought them donuts and flowers, thanking them for there kind words and compassion. These folks have a real special place in my heart.

Our ancient dog of 19 yrs was so sick in the middle of night! She Would have passed away unless we had the care & vigilance of these doctors & nurses who took care of our Hanna! We were able to be with her all the time, which was Incredibly import because of our old age- We knew we could loose her. They monitored constantly, even with many emergencies happening. The main doc stayed an extra 3 hours to make sure the day staff was caught up on all the info about each animal. I have never seen such an amazing emergency vet facility! Our dog is still with us 2 months later & doing well. Thank you again for giving our dog more time on this earth & not costing an insane amount! We will always be thankful for all your hard work. Please know you are greatly valued & appreciated! ❤️Ambere , Steve ,🐾Hannah

Thank you sooooooooooo much from us and Dakota! Other than the trip to the ER itself, the night could not have gone any better. Last night was a traumatic experience with the fear of loosing our 3rd dog in Arizona since we moved here 4 years ago (the other two passed after living a full life). We were greeted at the door and immediately cared for and comforted. The doctor was very observant and attentive during our visit. Dakota is doing well thanks to your care for him ❤️

Warm, efficient, and professional emergency care for our furry babies! From check-in and triage to emergency treatment, VEG ER is an exceptionally organized and efficient facility. What I appreciate most is that they give pet parents the option to stay in the treatment area with their vulnerable pets, while also providing private waiting rooms when needed. My Mona Lisa Mimi, a senior dog with fragile health, developed severe anxiety after a difficult experience at a different emergency hospital. Her panic attacks became so intense that even routine vet visits were nearly impossible. Her visit to VEG changed that. The entire team treated her with genuine kindness and compassion, and being allowed to remain within her sight during treatment made all the difference. The vet techs are wonderful, and Dr. Fisk is an absolute ROCKSTAR. Thank you all for everything you did for Mimi and for giving us such a positive experience when we needed it most. ❤️

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot thank the team at VEG ER for Pets enough for the incredible care they gave my dog during such a frightening time. From the moment we walked in, everyone treated us with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Dr. Anghel was outstanding—thorough, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Nurse Samantha was so caring and attentive, making both my dog and me feel comfortable. Cat, the assistant, was gentle and compassionate, and Brittany made the entire process smooth and welcoming. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make sure my dog received the best possible care. They truly treated her as if she were their own. During a stressful emergency, they gave us peace of mind, and I will always be grateful for their dedication and kindness. ★★★★★ When you walk into an emergency veterinary hospital, it’s one of the worst moments a dog owner can experience. Emergencies don’t happen on a schedule. They don’t wait until life is convenient. They happen fast, and in those moments, you’re putting everything you love into the hands of complete strangers and trusting that they know exactly what to do. That was our experience with our German Shepherd, Odin. Yesterday evening, around dinner time, Odin suffered GDV (bloat), and his stomach had twisted. We rushed him to VEG in Paramus, and from the second we walked through the door, the entire team moved with urgency, confidence, and professionalism. There was no hesitation and no wasted time. They took him immediately, explained what was happening, and got to work. The level of expertise on display was extraordinary. Dr. Maresca met with me, walked me through everything, answered every question, and laid out a clear plan. She was honest, knowledgeable, and incredibly reassuring without ever sugarcoating the seriousness of the situation. The surgery itself was exceptional. They successfully untwisted his stomach, found no necrosis, confirmed that his spleen was healthy, and completed the gastropexy successfully. The fact that less than twenty-four hours later Odin was on his feet, alert, responsive, and recovering as well as he was speaks volumes about the quality of the surgical work and the care he received afterward. This is a difficult, high-stakes emergency procedure, and Dr. Maresca and the entire surgical team performed it flawlessly. I stayed at the hospital until almost 11:30 PM waiting for the news that every dog owner hopes to hear—that our boy made it through surgery and was going to be okay. By 7:00 the next morning, before I even had the chance to call and ask, Dr. France had already sent an update letting us know that Odin had a good night, was resting comfortably, and that the plan was to transition him off injectable pain medication and get him eating again. That level of communication and consideration brought an incredible amount of peace of mind to both me and my fiancée. Dr. Weisburg then took over his care and continued that same standard of attentiveness and professionalism. The continuity between the doctors was seamless, and at every stage we knew exactly what was happening and what the next steps would be. What impressed me most was how well they balanced Odin’s recovery. They kept him comfortable without simply over-sedating him. They monitored him closely, kept up with his bloodwork, encouraged him to get on his feet, and treated him like an individual—not just another patient coming through the door. Life doesn’t stop because an emergency happens. Work, responsibilities, and everything else continue moving, and we couldn’t be at the hospital every minute of every day. Knowing that Odin was being cared for by people who genuinely took pride in what they do made an impossible situation infinitely easier to manage. Simply put, they saved our dog’s life. VEG Paramus is filled with highly skilled professionals who combine expertise, urgency, communication, and compassion at the highest level. From the front desk staff to the technicians to the doctors, every single person we encountered was outstanding. To Dr. Maresca, Dr. France, Dr. Weisburg, and everyone who played a role in Odin’s care: thank you for giving our boy a second chance. My fiancée and I will never forget what you did for him, and we will always be grateful for the skill, dedication, and kindness you showed during one of the hardest days of our lives. If your pet ever faces an emergency, I cannot recommend VEG Paramus highly enough. ★★★★★

I am very pleased with the care I received at VEG Shrewsbury today. Nina, my cat, was showing some concerning acute systems late last night/early this morning. I called them this morning about it and she was in and out of the clinic within 2 hours. Her symptoms were treated and they gave me a discharge report with medication instructions and recommended next steps with her primary care vet. She is doing so much better already! The staff was very professional, kind and gentle, and helped to put my precious girl and I at ease— shout out to Dr. Groves, Nina and the other nurses and technicians that helped us today. They have snacks and coffee in the lobby and you can stay with your pet the whole time. Although I hope I don’t have to go back there anytime soon, I know that if an emergency arises, my cats are in wonderful hands.

This little girl gave us the biggest scare, she ingested part of a sago palm plant nut and it immediately made her sick. After googling and learning how poisonous they are, we looked for an ER vet near us; VEG ER was 25 mins away but had great reviews so we decided to go there. Best decision we could've made. It was Sunday around 7:30p. the place was empty and they took us back immediately. They educated us on what to expect and recommended hospitalization. We requested they do what was medically necessary for our girl to get her through the night until we could get her in with her regular vet doctor early the next morning at 7a. to be hospitalized near us. They were empathetic and understanding and did a wonderful job with the initial detoxification process. Our girl was hospitalized during the day for two days at her regular vet. Her vet doctor was pleased with the hand-off by VEG ER to them. The times documented in her paperwork from VEG ER were NOT correct, they reported the time of her detox procedure was at 2a. but it was actually around 9:30p. Other than that small discrepancy, they did a great job of making sure our girl got the treatment she needed and we were on our way. It's been 7 days since the whole ordeal and she's slowly but surely getting back to normal. I would definitely recommend VEG ER, we loved the fact that you can go back with your pet and be there with them through everything. It was clean and everyone was professional.

When our dog suddenly developed vomiting, diarrhea, and uncontrollable trembling, we knew we needed help fast. We brought her to VEG ER for Pets in South Asheville, and the care we received was exceptional from the moment we walked through the door. We were greeted by Dr. Bentley, who was immediately compassionate, reassuring, and attentive. The team had literally just finished a surgery, yet they seamlessly pivoted to caring for our dog. Over the next ninety minutes they performed a thorough examination and bloodwork, helping us rule out many of the more serious possibilities. While we didn't leave with a definitive answer for what caused her illness, we left knowing what it wasn't, and that knowledge brought tremendous peace of mind. One of the things that impressed me most about VEG was their approach to patient and family care. I never had to leave my dog's side. Their facility is designed so pet owners can remain in the treatment area with their pets whenever possible. Being able to comfort and reassure my dog throughout the process made a world of difference, especially since she is not a fan of veterinary visits. Every member of the team took time to connect with both my dog and me. Even though the hospital was busy, they never made us feel rushed or overlooked. They carefully explained every step of the process, discussed treatment options, reviewed costs before moving forward, and made sure I understood exactly what was happening. There were no surprises, no pressure, and no sticker shock, just honest, transparent communication. I was also impressed that they perform their laboratory testing in-house. We had bloodwork results back quickly, which helped move the diagnostic process along efficiently. They also ensured that all records and findings were sent directly to our primary veterinarian for follow-up care. The entire team at VEG South Asheville is top-notch. Their professionalism, compassion, communication, and commitment to both pets and their people are second to none. If I ever need emergency veterinary care again, they will be my first call. And most importantly, my girl is doing very well this morning and resting comfortably at home. Thank you, Dr. Bentley and the entire VEG team, for taking such wonderful care of her and of us.

VEG Redmond were wonderful during our cat's illness and passing. I called to see if they had availability when our kitty had labored breathing at 8 pm and they encouraged us to come in right away. Our girl was 14 and had an overactive thyroid and kidney issues. Wanted to add that on. She had lived a great life already and the end just came faster than we wanted. The staff was so welcoming and professional. We were able to be near her while they worked. They have state of the art tech just like human hospitals! They ensured she was comfortable and sedated during procedures and were very gentle. They even trimmed off some mats on her belly for comfort. The vet was honest about the prognosis and offered different tiers of service to decide on based on our budget. Our girl was near the end so we took her home and she passed with us the next day. We took her back for cremation services and they were just as kind. Highly recommend for sick animals! We saw lots of happy animals walk out after good care 😊

Dr. Ogg, Dr. Wilson, Julia, Sarah and Kylie all took such great care of my dog when she needed to be hospitalized over night. They were so attentive to her and making sure she was comfortable. Her visit was a bit traumatic for me but it was overall a very positive experience knowing she was well taken care of. Taylor was so helpful with billing and making sure my dog’s records transferred to her primary vet. VEG has always been my choice for emergency care, they go above and beyond every time. Staff was friendly and welcoming in a stressful situation. Everyone was very accommodating for Kai, and he was more comfortable here than we’ve seen him at our primary in a long time (both when we initially came in and the follow-up visits we made for bandage changes.) He was a giant baby and wanted to sit in our laps the whole time and the staff was willing to work around it, even though he’s such a large dog. Not once did we feel ignored or pushed to the side, even though there was a lot going on during our initial stay. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone in need for emergency pet care. They are efficient and the atmosphere is great. They also made Kai a dinosaur on his bandage! I didn’t catch his name but thank you to the person who made this, it made my whole family smile.

I am forever grateful to the entire team at VEG for the compassion, kindness, and exceptional care they showed our beloved kitty, Bella. We first came to VEG because Bella wasn't doing well, and our veterinarian suspected there might be something wrong with her spleen. Dr. Gabriela Reyes was the attending veterinarian that day. From the moment we met her, she was incredibly kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain what she believed Bella might be facing and treated Bella with such genuine care. An ultrasound was performed, and we returned home hoping for the best while waiting for the results. Later that same night, Bella suddenly began gasping for air and could no longer move. We rushed her back to VEG immediately. By then, the ultrasound report had come back and confirmed our worst fear: Bella had a very aggressive cancerous tumor in her spleen, and surgery was no longer an option. As heartbreaking as it was, our family made the difficult decision to let Bella go peacefully so she would no longer suffer. Dr. Gabriela Reyes showed us extraordinary compassion during one of the hardest moments of our lives. She gave us the time we needed, answered our questions with honesty and empathy, and helped make an impossible decision just a little more bearable. I will never forget her kindness. The entire VEG staff was equally amazing. Every person we encountered treated Bella—and our family—with such dignity, warmth, and respect. They made an incredibly painful experience as peaceful and comforting as it could possibly be. While we wish the outcome had been different, I am deeply thankful that we found VEG. Thank you for caring for Bella with such love and for helping our family say goodbye with compassion. Bella will always be in our hearts, and we will never forget the kindness your entire team showed us during her final moments.

The most transparent veterinary care experience I have had (in WA, CA, or MI)! The facility has comfortable spaces for pets and people. The team kept me informed and invited me to be as hands-on as I wanted to be (with the exception of in the X-ray and operating rooms, but these had windows so I could see everything I cared to look at). The team was compassionate, competent, and genuinely cared about my dog Fezzik and trying to get the best outcome. Dr. Cat was more than thorough (and had a banger of a playlist for operating) in the effort to get all the answers and find solutions for my pup. Additionally, the estimate that I accepted and paid was slightly higher than the actual costs, and my credit card was refunded the difference the very next day.

I am a retired RVT and was blown away when I first walked in. The open concept, clients sitting there watching everything going on....and it only got better from there! I love how professional everyone was and how the doctors communicated with eachother regarding my dog. We saw 3 Vets in total, Dr. Neal did the splenectomy, Dr Kat was there when we came to visit and answered all of my questions, viewed prior xrays I had on my laptop and concurred with my assessment, we also saw another Dr (whose name I can't remember, but she got injured and had to leave) when we first got there and made us feel comfortable right away. All of the techs/assistants were just amazing and we were even offered to spend the night if we wanted to. Absolutely incredible! I have already been recommending VEG with every post I have made on the socials. I wish I was still able to work because VEG is definitely a place I would want to be at! Thank you so much to everyone we encountered at the Henderson location, we hope we don't ever have another emergency, but if we do, we know where we are headed!

I brought my puppy in after he got into some trouble and I was really worried. The staff was incredibly attentive from the moment we walked in and made me feel so much better. They were very transparent about pricing upfront and even gave me helpful information about pet insurance. What stood out the most was how warm and welcoming everything felt. I truly felt like my puppy was cared for with so much love. They also allowed me to be in the back and involved every step of the way which meant a lot to me. I have never had such a positive experience with an emergency vet. I hope I never have to come back but if I do I will absolutely return to VEG. The staff was amazing and so kind I really cannot express this enough. Thank you so much. 💕🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️🐾

We brought our 3-year-old tuxedo cat in at 1am on Memorial Day. Laura Hauser was the doctor in charge, and even though our cat FREAKED out, we managed to get blood tests & x-rays, and went home with a treatment plan. All test results were made immediately available to our primary vet (Dr. Kuhlman at Gramercy Park Animal Hospital) and we were able to follow up with a probable diagnosis (IBD) and treatment plan. This was going well for a couple of weeks until 3:30am on 6/13, when we discovered that Chico had ransacked the compost bucket. Laura Hauser was on call, remembered Chico, and gave us helpful reassurance over the phone. At midday, when our primary vet instructed us to go to VEG ER because Chico had vomited twice, we were seen by Dr. Jake Weggeland, who was gentle, attentive and professional. Nicole and another assistant administered the anti-nausea shot quickly and efficiently with minimum distress to Chico (who FREAKS out in vet offices--did I already mention that?). So, shout out to everyone.

this place was super awesome and i’m so glad i took my bunny here when she had an injured leg. immediately i felt welcomed, and i knew my bunny was going to be in good hands. the entire building was organized, clean, and the exam rooms were very private and comfortable. much more comfortable than a human doctors office that’s for sure! the veterinarians and the techs were so incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. as a nervous bunny-mom, they eased my anxiety and treated my baby with such gentle care and respect. they were informative and supportive, and gave me plenty of tools to care for my bunny’s needs. i would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

My dog Ice was taken to the vet by me where I live in CT where an xray showed a possible mass that needed to be scanned via ultrasound. Ultrasound, technicians were not available in my area and so I drove to my home town of Brooklyn after speaking with this facility and finding out that there was a doctor available to conduct the ultrasound. Dr. Cross did an amazing job with the ultrasound and later sat with me to compassionately but realistically give the next steps. The next day, we were able to have the surgery that she needed. I am very grateful to Doctor Cross for his help and to all of the staff there who took us in immediately.
