Let me tell you guys, this place is a blessing. I came out of a double, extremely exhausted, I come home to pet my baby and I feel a bald patch. I was scared, he’s my first pet and as tired as I was I drove all the way to Boston praying it wasn’t anything serious. The staff here (Marcus and Nina, Dr yogo, and Casey) were so amazing. They took such amazing care of my cat, and were so kind and gentle and very understanding. I was so stressed out and I’ve been going through enough ad it is and they took that all off my shoulders. 11/10 place, best decision I’ve made coming here for my baby Future 🤍🤍🤍

I brought my kitty, Lucky, in on a very busy Saturday, holiday wknd night. They immediately assessed my cat and kept me up to date as they managed all of the other animals. I can’t say enough how professional and compassionate the entire staff was. I was so impressed watching them flow like a well oiled machine with caring and compassionate for every animal and human. They saved my cat’s life. He unexpectedly went into Diabetic Ketoacidosis. They got him stable, were very caring with him and made sure I got to take him home. the entire staff was phenomenal! I have three names Dr. Kass, Mel, Olga and the receptionist… all four were wonderful. If I have the name right, Mel, the African American woman who helped nursed us, was truly exceptional. During one of the hardest moments in our lives, you need to feel compassion and genuine care, and that’s exactly what she gave us. She made us feel at ease throughout our visit, showed incredible kindness and strength, and helped carry us through a very difficult time. She was a source of comfort for both of us, and we’ll always be grateful for the love and support she showed. I loved that I could be with Lulu the entire time and she knew I was there for her. She never once shivered out of fear. 24 hours later Lulu is showing signs of improvement (Cervical IVDD discovery) and displaying all the positive signs of recovery. Thank you, Dr. Kass, Mel, and Olga, for your professionalism, compassion, and for making such a difficult experience a little easier.

The doctors and staff here are amazing people who truly care about animals. They are literal life savers, doing everything for our sick puppy. They worked with us like no other place would to save our Rex. God bless them, I’m so grateful! Thank you to the doctors & the kind staff that made us comfortable as possible with 3 small kids. They’re the only place that could help us at 2am with minimal fund. Thank you ♥️

My boy Goose was outside with my family and they weren’t paying attention so he was playing in the pool and swallowed ALOT of salt water. His stomach was rock hard and he was throwing up pretty consistently. One of my biggest fears is Bloat so we immediately loaded him up in the car and took him to the vet. We have never been here before but the entire staff was very very nice and super respectful of my boy. He is very anxious and doesn’t like people in his space but they allowed me to take the lead and direct them into the best way to help him. They communicated every step of the way and took their time to explain the best course of action for him. I would absolutely recommend anyone who needs emergency care to take their animal to this vet.

We had to bring our sweet Balinese cat Kai in for consistent vomiting at midnight. We have used 2 other emergency vets in years past here in oklahoma. I can say hands down this was the best emergency vet we have ever used. They were quick, efficient, had wonderful customer service, and genuinely cared for Kai. From the vet to the tech to the triage person-all of them were wonderful! Thankfully he was discharged by 330am after X-rays!

I was babysitting my son‘s cat. He got into a little leftover chocolate cake. Pet Poison Control Recommended that he be taken to his vet. VET H Is about a mile away and so that is where I headed. I was impressed at how quickly we were brought to be triage and the transparency of a treatment plan and pricing. After being given an emetic, lo and behold, there was more than chocolate cake in his stomach! He had to stay overnight for an NG tube and x-rays to determine if there was any more pieces of the bracelets. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff, nurses and docs. While, I hope I do not ever have to go there again with my son‘s cat, I wouldn’t hesitate to do so if need be.

Dr. Gilcrest and the entire team were exceptional, but I especially want to recognize Nurse Marielyz. She was incredibly attentive, compassionate, and maintained such a calm, positive presence through a very serious situation. Her reassurance and professionalism meant more than she probably knows. A special thank you to Ruth at the front desk for once again being so kind and comforting Dr. Briello* from the day before was also wonderful handling our situation yesterday and then moving forward to today having to go back I’d also like to thank the other wonderful woman who offered us coffee,(I’m so sorry I didn’t catch your name). She had beautiful twists.Her vibrant, uplifting personality brought a little light during such a difficult time. Even the music when we first walked in helped lift my spirits😂 as the irony of techno unfortunately my dog was suffering a seizure and now some people might not think that’s funny but you gotta find something funny during a very hard time, and the staff respectfully turned it off once treatment began. To be clear, the staff was on their downtime while this took place, so please do not come for them! Everyone was nonjudgmental, understanding, and truly cared about both my dog and me. They honored their 24-hour policy when Emmy had to return, stabilized her, adjusted her medications, and gave us a clear plan moving forward. Thank you all for taking such amazing care of my Emmy. God truly led us to the right place. ❤️ We were recommended to them through Summers Animal Hospital

I’m caring for my mom’s dog, Schuyler, for her while she is undergoing cancer treatments, so my family and I are already stressed but when Schuyler had some stomach issues at 1am I needed help and I’m glad I went to VEG ER Cary. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted immediately and Schuyler was triaged and in line to see the Dr. The whole staff, from front desk to vet tech to vet were always kind, had a sense of urgency, empathetic, helpful, listened fully and you could tell they understand how important our pets are to us. I felt like they treated us as if we were their own family. They offer snacks and drinks while you wait, and the wait can be a bit because they make sure critical patients are stable and it is an ER after all, but they constantly checked in on me and Schuyler while we did wait. I will say, and this has nothing to do with the staff or hospital itself, but they have an open concept sort of setup so you do see everyone that comes in and the initial triage steps. I had to witness a few very sad, hard moments as other very critical patients came in and were triaged and that was hard for me. I wasn’t aware of this, so I just wasn’t prepared and I have some trauma from my past that was triggered a bit, so I just want to warn people of this as just a heads up. Now that I know, I will still always chose to come here in the future if unfortunately a best friend of mine needs emergency care, because it is worth it for the care and kindness of the whole team as well as their invaluable knowledge and desire to help our babies. And just side note, they do have private rooms and they did always move those critical patients to have privacy with their families eventually, but the initial triage is done right in the huge room with everyone so they can all tend to the pet immediately and so your pet is never taken away from you and you are able to be with it while they treat it every step of the way which is incredible. If unfortunately at some point your best friend needs medical care, this is the place to go. I’m very grateful to them for all their help and empathy when me and my family were going thru a very stressful time. Each and every one of the staff members at VEG ER Cary are heroes in my book.

From the initial assessment to the X-rays and blood work, everyone was so kind, attentive, and supportive throughout the process. Dr. Diana took the time to thoroughly explain the examination findings with such insight and care, which truly helped bring comfort during a stressful moment. Best pet ER. Been here many times throughout the years and they are always amazing. Amazing service and care from when you enter to when you leave. The doctors/nurses/staff are very smart and on the ball so you feel like you can trust them which takes a lot of stress away. They're also mindful of you and your pets' comfort and can help make the situation easier / more comfortable, particularly for longer visits. The open floor plan is helpful so you can be with your pet, in the loop, easy to find if you have visitors, and always visible to faculty/staff — you never feel forgotten about, confused, or low priority. Just had to leave my pet overnight and felt not only comfortable leaving her in their hands but also relieved. Thank you team

After seeing how highly rated VEG Carle Place was, I decided to take my 14-year-old Chihuahua, Sushi, there after I found him collapsed, lethargic, and running a 104° fever. I’m so glad I did. Sushi was triaged immediately upon arrival. It was a busy day, so we did have to wait about an hour to be seen, but he was resting comfortably while we waited. The veterinarian who treated Sushi was Dr. Huang. He took the time to listen to my concerns, explained what he believed was going on, discussed the different possibilities, and reviewed the treatment options with me. He recommended hospitalization, IV fluids, antibiotics, anti-nausea medication, bloodwork, and X-rays, and he was upfront about the costs involved. I chose to move forward with the bloodwork, IV fluids, antibiotics, and anti-nausea medication, but declined the X-rays because they were outside of my budget. When I explained that I also had concerns about the cost of hospitalization, I never felt judged or pressured. Instead, Dr. Huang recommended another emergency specialty hospital where Sushi could have an abdominal ultrasound performed by a specialist at a more competitive price. I appreciated that he focused on what was best for Sushi rather than where the testing was performed. He also made it very clear that if I chose not to hospitalize Sushi overnight, I needed to follow up the very next day with the specialist he recommended. I followed his recommendation, and Sushi received excellent care there as well. I also want to recognize the entire VEG team for their outstanding customer service. From the receptionist, to the intake staff, to the veterinary technicians, and Dr. Huang, everyone was kind, compassionate, and professional. Although I didn’t get the names of the two veterinary technicians who primarily cared for Sushi, I do remember that one had a Stitch tattoo and the other had an amazing personality. They treated Sushi gently, made sure he was comfortable, and took the time to answer my questions. This wasn’t my first experience with a pet medical emergency, and what stood out to me about VEG Carle Place was the honesty, communication, and compassion of the entire team. I never felt pressured when discussing the financial aspect of Sushi’s care, and I felt comfortable making an informed decision based on the options that were presented to me. This was my personal experience, and it left a lasting impression. If I ever need emergency veterinary care again, VEG Carle Place will absolutely be one of my first choices. Thank you to Dr. Huang and the entire VEG Carle Place team for taking such great care of Sushi.

Best experience ever. No one was ogling me. They allowed me to make my decision and were very transparent along the way. They explained everything that they were doing to my puppy and the next steps. Very very satisfied and will recommend. Obviously is an emergency hospital so prices are what are usually charged in ER. I thought the prize was reasonable and I got a refund for services not rendered go figure an honest place . Great staff from the front desk to the doctors and nurses. Highly recommend .

My senior dog needed emergency care after hours and he was seen and treated right away! He spent the night and is doing so much better thanks to the caring and attentive team. So thankful for an animal ER that lets you stay with your pet the whole time.

This place exceeded my expectations. Worth every penny. I left feeling assured and my little buddy is feeling better. I loved that I could call and speak with a vet and get advice before coming in too, super helpful. The reception, tech and nursing team were very personable and helpful. Dr. Prevallet, was very thorough and simple in explaining her diagnosis and treatment plan. Hopefully I won't have to but I will be back to this location if the need ever arises.

I absolutely love VEG! They have an amazing staff. Each time we went the staff members were so calm and professional. Any time we’ve had emergency situations with our dog, we only trusted them with handling her. My Great Pyrenees is reactive and she isn’t fond of new people, but they were so sweet and understanding with her. We made it work and she got the best care. They have blankets, snacks, and drinks available as you wait which is comforting. I highly recommend VEG. 10/10

We brought our dog in on a Sunday morning after being bit by another dog and the entire staff here were phenomenal from the second we arrived to the moment we left. They were attentive, compassionate, understanding and accommodating. All procedures were discussed and we were made sure we knew what was going to happen and why. I wanted to hug everyone before we left. Thank you all for taking care of our girl.

Thank you to the staff who helped my family and I through one of the hardest decision we had to make. They took the time out to weigh out our options, answer any questions we had. But most of all the care and compassion we received through this painful time. He is now no longer suffering in the arms of my mother who passed in January. Yuki truly was my angel baby. I was blessed to have him, even if for a short time. Thank you so much for doing everything you possibly could. For supporting my family and loving these beautiful fur babies as if they were your own. God bless! The experience we had with VEG was fantastic. When we arrived, we met with Dr. Butts to have Leia evaluated and come up with a plan of treatment for her. Following that, he consulted with Dr. Rodriguez for surgery. They treated Leia with the utmost care. The support staff was also fantastic in keeping her comfortable and taken care of. I appreciated the time everyone spent with us answering our questions and concerns.

Dr. Fahey and the entire team here at VEG in Palo Alto were absolutely fantastic! My dog inhaled a foxtail and they immediately took action and resolved the issue! We are so grateful for their professionalism and care. Every person we interacted with on their large team showed us kindness in a stressful situation and helped answer all my questions. We were in and out in less than an hour and a half and the price was so reasonable for the level of care he received. Highly recommend this group.
