A couple days ago, I had to make the heart breaking decision to send my beautiful cat with the angels. From my interaction with staff on the phone, to their urgency to treat my pet, while communicating and being so compassionate with me, I cannot begin to express how truly amazing everyone was. I walked in there absolutely hysterical and gutted and feeling an incredible amount of guilt, but I knew it was time for my baby to go and rest. The staff kept us comfortable and were attentive to our every need the entire time. Dr. Alvarez is someone that I will never forget. His soft tone, empathy, encouraging words and compassion is the only way that I was able to through this. I would recommend VEG ER in Pembroke Pines a million times. Thank you so much to everyone there for being so kind through one of my deepest and hardest times.

The staff at VEG were amazing. We brought our dog in having neurological issues. A nurse met us as we walked in the door and we were seen immediately. The staff there were incredibly kind. As the medical staff worked on our dog, the office staff repeatedly checked on my husband and I. There were there with tissues, water, and many kind words. I cannot recommend this emergency vet enough. Thank you so much for helping us with Griffin.

I’ve had a blast at VEG (Pembroke Pines) an one hour ago . I’m a pet nanny so we took their sweet and senior dog to there. This morning he started with diarrhea and later with vomit. VEG has a great environment area and such a great staff. This senior dog was assisted as soon as we’ve arrived there; between vet doctor and vet techs he wasn’t in hold . They always checked on him and caring on him Love this place , thx God VEG is here

This morning I brought my 2 year old cat in who vomited reddish watery liquid. I lost a cat suddenly when he was 2 years old in 2021 so this was a tough trip to make. The staff was amazing!! So kind and made me laugh a few times. Dr. Beckman was prompt, thorough and validated all my concerns. Even through my cat getting fluids and medication, not happy and let the techs know it too! 🤣 They all remained so calm and sweet to my little one. I hope I don't need to go back ever again but they will certainly be the place I do go if needed in the future. Thank you all SO SO much!!! Keep up the incredible work. Rue sends her love 🤣🐈‍⬛❤️

What a knowledgeable and kind group of people that we experienced. We had a tough situation with our beloved cat and our family appreciated their honesty and expertise more than they probably know. We so love our pets and want to have the most up-to-date and honest information so that we can make, sometimes very difficult, decisions. Please keep up the great work. Highly recommended.

After noticing our sweet boy was holding his neck down we took him to our local vet, we were given the run around on treatment options & were eventually told we needed a $5,000 MRI done at another clinic so that they can figure it out. We were keeping him medicated until we could get him into physical therapy because we were under the impression of a pinched nerve or disc issue & our local vet wouldn’t help us any longer. Fast forward two weeks later his health was declining. We made the decision to bring him into VEG, immediately we welcomed with the most compassionate and caring staff. Dr. Smith & Jacy came over to look at our boy & said she wanted to check for cancer. Many people brought their animals in the hours that we were there & the attention to Kane, my husband & I never slacked a bit. After some x-rays, it was confirmed that’s exactly what it was & unfortunately we had to make the decision to euthanize our boy. Jacy moved us into a private room to say our goodbyes, & share thoughtful words. Dr. Smith was extremely thorough and patient with us & our questions. I cannot thank them enough for the level of care ourselves & Kane received that night. Picture tax of our sweet boy. ❤️

All the ladies were fantastic, Kat, Arissa, Stephane, Kim, Sleepy, Bashful and Dr. Jacobson…I brought my little Yorkie who was pretty sick and they were gentle to my 4lb little guy and even handled me well who was a bit emotional. I appreciate how they went over his panel with me and how kid gloves they were with my little guy. I’m not going to lie, I hope I never have to go back except on Christmas to drop off cheesecake to the fine crew. In all seriousness Thank You all 🙏

I drove over an hour to receive care for my basset hounds digestive issue to prevent a blockage. I called before making the drive, I had the pleasure of speaking to Dr. Teal. Her expertise, professionalism, and clear plan gave me optimism. Her calm, soothing voice, was the cherry on top! Upon arrival, you’re greeted by a friendly receptionist, the facility is large and clean. Annett took great care of my boy. She was patient, gentle and confident in what she does. Dr. Carter and all staff don’t waste your time or money here. They know time is of the essence, I’m thankful I found this facility. Thank you VEG ER for everything!

No one ever wants to have to visit the ER with their pet, but we cannot say enough good things about VEG. This was our first (and hopefully only) visit, but they were simply amazing. Our little guy ended up with a treble fishing hook embedded in his lips/mouth/nose. They took us right back when we arrived, pain meds were onboard in less than 15 min and he was sedated about 10 minutes after that. They carefully removed the hook and the barbs, all without one drop of blood. We were in and out of there in about an hour. While we are hoping to never have to go back, we certainly wouldn't hesitate, given the care and attention we received from all the staff.

Mel, Elly, and Marianne were world-class. Such an incredible, caring, and personable team. This is hands down the best vet service I’ve ever experienced. Everyone was completely locked in and genuinely cared about my cat. You can tell this isn’t just a job to them. They were super responsive, compassionate, and always one step ahead. I truly appreciate their care and heart. By the end, they felt like they were my cousins lol. If every vet operated like this, the world would be a better place.

Took great care of my pet! The staff is friendly and genuinely concerned about every animal. My furry toddler, Pepper, was seen promptly and remained comfortable the entire time. They let you know exactly what the plan is and the cost, plus any other options available. Makes a stressful visit just that much easier.

The team at VEG ER FOR PETS are AMAZING. Dr Martin and her team saved my little puppy life after a life threatening injury. The staff was very informative. Kept you informed of what was going on with your pet. I can never repay you guys back. Thank you for saving my little puppy life. The last picture at the bottom was just taken today. She’s doing well. She’s eating playing back to her happy self once again thank you VEG ER for pets.

Absolutely outstanding service from VEG pleasant hill that words alone cannot describe. Unfortunately our cat ate a hair tie and needed induced vomitting immediately. Upon arrival the team here was extremely quick to assess Kylans situation and take care of him as fast as possible. Even with other situations going on at the time Kylan received the best care possible and the vets were able to get the hair tie out. Because of the situation we were unfortunate enough to not catch the names of the vets that assisted us but they provided us excellent service and went above and beyond to reassure us of the situations and provide a layout of what procedures will/might need to be done. We felt extremely blessed walking out tonight and are extremely grateful for each and everyone of the vets at VEG Pleasant hill. Thank you so much for helping save our kitty!

My boyfriend and I adopted a puppy from a shelter on Monday 3/23. The next day, we noticed her spay incision was opened and appeared infected. We brought her to VEG because it was the closest animal ER that was open. We were asked immediately after entering what the problem was and got into a room right after. We did not have to wait for anyone to come in and Suki was evaluated right then and there. Everyone was so sweet and genuine and we could tell that they were taking us seriously. Suki got an ultrasound to check that her internal stitches were still intact and then we were given a mild sedative (gabapentin), pain medication, and antibiotic for her. We were expecting to pay a minimum of $1000 but the whole visit was a little over $300. We went to an ER for our cat a while ago that also only needed an ultrasound and it costed $1,300 not including the initial visit fee so we were pleasantly surprised by VEG’s pricing to say the least. Dr. Ella Macquisten was so great and understanding and also made sure that we were involved with everything and didn’t make any decisions without asking first. We were in and out within an hour and Suki is doing great. Could not recommend this ER enough.

The staff was fabulous handling our pet emergency. They were very quick in identifying what was happening and took excellent care of our pet. Our pet ended up passing quickly once we arrived and the doctor explained everything and was so good with listening to our wants and needs. We were given post death options and taken to a separate private room after. I am so glad we chose them with our pets final moments.

I took my beagle girl Luna this morning to VEG. From my initial call with Joe, he was so caring and kind he made me feel taking her here was the right choice. I’ve had bad experiences with emergency vets, but my experience here was so wonderful. We got there and they immeadiately started checking on Luna. Dr. Hannah and Mike checked her. I told them she was vomiting and maybe having stomach issues. They recommended treatment and the presented me with an estimate. They were both so kind and attentive and answered all my questions. I didnt feel forced to use all the services on the estimate at all. The facilities have an open floor concept and were extremely clean as well. No dog smell or anything. And everyone welcomed us with care and smiles. They truly made me feel like we were family, and they were going to help us. I hope I won’t have any other emergencies, but would definitely recommend VEG. They were absolutely wonderful. Top notch services for sure!

I am very pleased with my visit here ☺️. My cat, Bobo, wasn’t eating or drinking. She felt very weak for two days. I had decided this wasn’t like her at all. So I rushed over here. the staff is incredibly kind and helpful❤️ they have a tough job. I found out Bobo had a high fever and tapeworms. though the bill wasn’t nice, I don’t blame anyone for it. An emergency vet comes with its costs. Immediately two days after visiting, Bobo was jumping on tables, using the litter, meowing. Just being herself again…☺️I was so happy!!! My cat was back to normal. no sickness, no fever, and she had medicine for her tapeworms. I definitely recommend you all to come here. just be patient with the staff. they’ve seen a lot, and they surely don’t make the prices. ❤️ so do not blame the staff for the enormous bills. what I did was I stated my budget and they were considerate of it. Below, I attached a before and after photo of Bobo😻visiting this location! (She had stayed in that box the entire day with no movement) no playing, eating, or anything. But after ! She was able to go up and down the stairs and play with her siblings 💕

VEG treated my sick dog with so much compassion and love. Dr. Sparks, Dr. McReynolds, Katelyn, Elexis, Marykate and Candice all were amazing, helpful and kind. We were dealing with a lot of uncertainty and trying to soak in a lot of information. The team was so patient and helped guide me through a difficult weekend. My dog is so anxious in vet offices but they took such good care of her. I followed their treatment plan and she was better within a week’s time! Hoping she never gets sick again, but if she does, I will go to VEG immediately.

Our puppy swallowed a sock tonight, and the staff took amazing care of him. We were in and out in 30 minutes. Everyone was knowledgeable, efficient, and incredibly sweet. We were able to stay with Rufus the entire time and watch everything, which made a stressful situation so much easier. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend bringing your loved pets here. The care and service towards the pets and their humans was above and beyond. Transparency is a value here as there is no bringing your pet “to the back” - every station is out in the open so you can be with your pet through every procedure and test. The staff has blankets and drinks for the humans to ensure we are also comfortable while waiting for our pets to heal. The demeanor and care from the staff was truly something I’ve never experienced at a vet before - I felt so taken care of and believed my dog was in the best hands possible. I walked in with my dog who had lethargy, loss of appetite, and diarrhea, and there was no wait, and urgency to solve the issue. What we though was an irritated GI tract was actually a flipped stomach, to which the entire team responded to rapidly and brought him into surgery. I was allowed to stay overnight with my dog while he was healing which helped the both of us with our anxiety. I have never witnessed this concept at a veterinary clinic before and I wish i could give 10 stars

We brought our 3-year-old tuxedo cat in at 1am on Memorial Day. Laura Hauser was the doctor in charge, and even though our cat FREAKED out, we managed to get blood tests & x-rays, and went home with a treatment plan. All test results were made immediately available to our primary vet (Dr. Kuhlman at Gramercy Park Animal Hospital) and we were able to follow up with a probable diagnosis (IBD) and treatment plan. This was going well for a couple of weeks until 3:30am on 6/13, when we discovered that Chico had ransacked the compost bucket. Laura Hauser was on call, remembered Chico, and gave us helpful reassurance over the phone. At midday, when our primary vet instructed us to go to VEG ER because Chico had vomited twice, we were seen by Dr. Jake Weggeland, who was gentle, attentive and professional. Nicole and another assistant administered the anti-nausea shot quickly and efficiently with minimum distress to Chico (who FREAKS out in vet offices--did I already mention that?). So, shout out to everyone.

WOW. I cannot say enough great things about this hospital. We were 6 hours away from home when our girl got bit by another dog at a campground. We expected to spend basically the entire night sitting in a waiting room, but we have never been to a VEG hospital… From the moment we walked in, they greeted us at the door and we never had to leave our dog’s side through the whole process. The clinic was SO CLEAN and the staff were absolutely elite. They were friendly, knowledgeable and so patient with us and gentle with our girl. The vet quite literally sat next to us and wrote up a care plan explaining every single step and was so upfront about cost and recovery. We are so grateful for their incredible compassion and top-notch care they gave her. Easily the best experience we have ever had at an ER Vet. We were in and out in less than 3 hours. Huge shoutout to Dr. Forton, Emile, Yorrick & Jenn - you guys are absolute rockstars and turned what could have been a nightmare ordeal into a positive experience. And yes, we will be seeking out other VEGgies 😆 back home in WI.

I had a great experience here. My cat was bit by a dog pretty badly. When we walked in he was immediately evaluated by a vet and then given pain medicine for the wait. We were allowed to wait in the car until a room was available so he was comfortable the entire time. Once we got a room there was quite a wait due to some emergencies that came in. We were checked on and communicated with during the wait. Once it was our turn, his wounds were cleans and sutured. Everything was explained and all of my questions were answered. I was allowed to be there for the entire procedure. I was also charged exactly what I was quoted when I came in (which is expensive because it’s an emergency vet and they can’t operate for free). My kitty ended up requiring extra anesthesia which I was not billed for. Everyone on this team is absolutely an expert at what they do. I’m so glad this is where I chose to bring my cat.

This place ROCKS!!! I brought my cat 5050 in for a foxtail in her eye and they did the deed. Reasonable fees. I’ve been doing TNR ferals for 30-ish years. I have to say this place is the nicest I’ve ever been to. And a week later her follow up showed she is 100% good to good. Rocket crew at VEG. I’m so glad I’m a VEGetarian~ 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Excellent experience with VEG ER in San Ramon , professional team oriented work flow. We were informed throughout our visit and especially appreciate the transparency and open approach to the veterinary care. We were able to be with our dog Olive as she was given sedative , monitoring, exam and diagnosis of bilateral ear infections by a veterinary nurse and two DVM! Highly recommend this vet emergency room. Big thank you to Dr Christine Kim DVM and Kylie C. RVT for their professional top notch care !!

I worked with Danya, Lauren, Steph, Krista, and Holly and felt extremely comfortable and confident that my dog was in good hands. My dog was acted on quickly and efficiently. Everything was explained thoroughly and in a way that I could understand. If I had questions, they were answered in depth. I went in stressed, and left calm and comfortable. The invoice i received was quite reasonable. I will be telling friends, family, and coworkers about my great experience. VEG far exceeded my expectations. I thank the company and team for all the help we received!!

This review is largely excluding cost, because although there were many positives about it, the overall cost of vet care is insane. I came here after driving around all morning looking for a place that had a vet available for immediate attention. The person who I spoke with at Uptown recommended this place. I had never heard of them but they were super close to everything so I went over. The whole experience from the moment I walked in was so much better than anything I have experienced in the 25 years I have been taking dogs to vets. We never had to leave our dog's side. We saw everything that was happening around and got to see them work in true worst case scenarios. They were kind, professional, attentive, and worked hard to care for every animal around. Our girl was not doing well and given my experience at other vets, I don't know if she would have made it had we taken her elsewhere. I had my kids with me all day the first day. A 4 year old and 1 year old in an open space with sick animals and lots of equipment isn't ideal. They have iPads to watch movies, snacks, the good water machine, coffee, tea, coloring books, puzzles, etc. I think the sceen time and snacks the day prior (and the stress of seeing our Pep so sick) made the behavior a little less than ideal the 2nd day so we got a private room. I probably was not in my calmest state, either, but they were all amazing and kind. My husband brought our baby home this morning. My littlest is already stomping around saying "Peppy! Peppy!! Hi Peppy! Peppy Baby!" She is home and happy and largely unaffected by the stress of the last few days. I really think she is doing so well not only because of the vet care she received, but also because of the environment at this clinic. As for the cost - like I mentioned, vet care is sooo expensive. Was it a lot of money? Yes. Worth it? Yes. It isn't like we can't pay it nor wouldn't have paid more if necessary, but it just adds up quickly. I don't have to tell anyone how expensive life is here in San Diego. HOWEVER, they honored our request to approach testing incrementally, and they even said things like, "let me look at the finances and see how far we can stretch out the hospital stay with what you have paid." You never hear stuff like that. And when I asked about tests, they were honest in that we could totally get them if we wanted, but they knew we didn't want to blindly test and they didn't think the results from other tests made it necessary. It usually is what it is and everything is done out of your sight anyways. We got out of the 2 day hospital stay and a bunch of testing and meds for a little over 6k. And the experience itself was definitely better in every way. If you have an emergency, I highly recommend VEG!

everyone at this hospital loves animals and humans everyone that helped on my cat, billy's case especially all three doctors that were on his case. They have an amazing loving staff day and night and an amazing team it was hard on everyone and they were so loving and caring and kind with me and especially my boy there was ups and down on his health and that god he made it out but regardless he was in such good hands i never once stressed about how they were handling him and caring for him thank you all so much again sending much love from my cat billy and I. I'd also like to add your allowed to stay with your pet as long as you want and can even sleep there. And the doctors really take their time to explain to you EVERY LITTLE thing so you feel included and they help you understand everything even the anatomy of your animal your even allowed to watch the surgeries and be close to your animal you will never once feel left out.

We were transferred to VEG because our initial emergency room was on diversion. Not knowing what to expect, I was highly satisfied with every aspect of VEG. When we arrived they were expecting us and flew into admission and treatment. The quote I was given was 4,500 less than others I was given at the initial emergency room. I was shocked when they asked me and my son if we wanted a bed to stay the night with my dog. Usually Vet Emergency clinics take your dog and you don't see them until you pay and are discharged. The staff ran through my pups treatment plan and offered us snacks. The nurse talked with my son and showed him the other animals. When we decided to go home to sleep, they promised texts and phone calls. The next day I was welcomed in to sit with my baby. They took extra precaution not to discharge him until they felt he was ready. They did not rush his discharge to get rid of him... actually I'm almost certain they would have kept him another night because he was so loved. VEG changed my perspective of what Vet Emergency Hospitals could and should be. I will be bypassing my usual Emergency Clinic and coming straight to VEG next time. I can't say enough about the staff...especially the night staff!!!! e I cannot for the life of me remember the names of the staff. The first 1 was the night nurse who was in charge of the admitted animals... glasses, blond hair..super sweet. The second was the day vet tech...guy, so kind and I watched him kiss all of the babies like they were his own...smells like vanilla if that helps narrow it down. Also the doctors both night and day were pleasant and thorough with explaining his condition and plan for treatment!

I had to bring in my cat last night for an emergency visit, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible care we received. As soon as we walked in, the entire staff was so kind and welcoming. They got us into a room right away and they immediately started taking his vitals, which showed me how they really prioritize their patients. Also a special thank you to Dr. Sweetwood for being so thorough and patient in explaining everything to me. The whole team was understanding and truly showed they cared about our pet. The complimentary snacks and water while we waited was a thoughtful touch as well. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for professional, and efficient veterinary care.

I had to take Sia, my cat to VEG today because VCA Animal Hospital on Bradshaw does not have a doctor. I thought my cat was in respiratory distress because she got a cold and was breathing like she was distressed last night. I did not sleep at all and I was very stressed out and concerned for her. Upon arrival they called a doctor right over who assessed her and told me she was not in respiratory distress and put us in a private room where more vital signs were taken. We saw a doctor in less than 10 minutes and we were assured the cold needed to run it's course and she would not recommend antiviral medication. The doctor said we could take her home. I thought we would get a huge bill but she said there was no cost because they didn't do anything. But, they did a great service for me and my husband because we had piece of mind that our furbaby was not going to die. The fact that they took her immediately to see a doctor for triage to determine if she needed oxygen was very impressive. I was in tears. All staff who checked out my cat, Sia, did a wonderful job. I truly appreciate this service being here in Elk Grove and I highly recommend this emerging service for all furbabies.

We took our little pitty dog to the ER because she had a laceration right above her eye. We very much appreciated how kind and professional every single vet tech was with us. We loved the open floor plan of the clinic. We loved being able to be part of the process. Vet techs were very competent. We very much appreciated learning that our veterinarian had been trained at one of the best programs in the country. Her suture skills were really good (excellent). Better than we had experience many times in the past with our other dogs. Anesthesia protocol was very good.

Do NOT hesitate to take your pet here. If anyone knows, it would be myself since i practically lived there for 3+ days. There is not one thing that the team at VEG Nanuet could have done better. They collectively saved my dogs life. I was there for days with my dog, and had the opportunity to meet what I believe to be most of the staff, and every single doctor, vet tech (nurse), receptionist, vet assistant etc etc was absolutely AMAZING at what they do. My elderly dog had to undergo major surgery with aspiration pneumonia, and as most know who have had similar experiences with elderly humans and animals, that's a death sentence in many cases. But my sweet girl is home, happy, playing with her ball, because this amazing team made it happen. They watched me sob for days, and every single person had wonderful bedside manor, even making me laugh at my worst. My tears of heart break turned into tears of joy knowing my Lady girl was coming home with me. The transparency here with being able to watch everything, including the surgery, is unmatched. I thought it was the end for my pup, but Dr Raino kept me going, and Dr Catto performed the surgery that saved her ultimately. I cannot thank them enough. I truly have a place in my heart for these people now after what they've done for my girl and my family. Because of my experience here im certain my future career path is in animal medicine, watching their empathy, kindness, and real true knowledge of animals is inspiring. I haven't slept in days so i may be rambling, but it's the rambling of a happy dog mama in the end. PSA as well, ban peaches. For good. Thank you all again!

I would highly recommend using veg er before any other place around. They were super efficient, caring and just amazing. They do not just try to raise your bill for unnecessary work like some vets we have been to in the past. They actually care about your animal. Everyone from the receptionist to the doctor were amazing and I’d like to thank them for taking such good care Jack for us, from the time we walked in with him until we left. They gave us the time we needed to spend with him before his final moments and it is all appreciated. We had Veronica, Amanda, Jennifer.and Mei to name a few. Thank you all again.

It's hard to find the right words to express how thankful we are for this entire team!! Our sick pup spent two nights here and our family spent many, many hours ourselves here. We must have met almost their entire team and every single one of them was kind, caring, smart, empathetic, calm, and straightforward about what our pup would need. It was truly incredible that they allowed people to stay with their pets- and still stayed calm with multiple emergencies at once and multiple humans watching them!!! I really don't know how they do it. Feel so, so lucky to have a VEG here in Littleton. Thank you all for providing life saving care to our guy Rocky❤️❤️❤️🥹🥹🥹

Piggy backing on my husbands review because words cannot express the gratitude I have for this place. Everyone is amazing here and have a great compassionate team that will do everything they can to help your pet. Our Salty is 14 years old and did not think it was possible but they managed to get her better and return to her usual shenanigans. People with the bad reviews/comments about the cost, need to understand that this is AN EMERGENCY service. I understand times are tough for everyone but if you want/need the best care,it will be well worth it. Also the concept of being able to be with your pet the entire time is absolutely amazing and I cannot imagine going anywhere else now. Will recommend them to everyone!

I want to sincerely thank the entire team for the wonderful care they provided to my dog, Kira. From the moment we arrived, everyone was kind, professional, compassionate, and attentive. The staff took the time to listen to my concerns, thoroughly examine Kira, and explain everything clearly. They made both of us feel comfortable during a stressful time, and I truly appreciated their patience and caring attitude. It is clear that this team genuinely loves animals and is dedicated to providing excellent care. Thank you for treating Kira with such kindness and helping her feel better. I am very grateful for the support and exceptional service we received. Highly recommended! ❤️❤️

The staff are great! I recommend them 100%. My puppy Peyton is recovering from Parvo sadly, they have done what they could to help me out and now she's getting better and thriving. They will work with you. They aren't working for just a paycheck, this is a place that really cares for their little patients. Thanks to them my 2 1/2 month old Peyton is still alive!

Wonderful experience! The care and understanding that our dog received was amazing. From the minute we walked in the door and walked out the door our pet was with us, together through all the procedures we experienced understanding, patience, and professionalism with medical explanations along the way. We observed other pets and their owners being treated the same way. Keeping us together relieved a lot of anxiety and fear, which meant the world to us to be by his side and for him to see us. We want to thank the staff at VEG Shrewsbury for the amazing treatment that our Kangal received.

We drove from Toledo and I can’t say enough good things about this place. From the moment Chapo and I walked in, everyone treated us like family. They were incredibly attentive to both Chapo and myself, made sure I was always in the loop, and even connected promptly with Chapos neurologist. What really stood out was how comforting they were and how much they genuinely cared. It’s handled so differently than anywhere else I’ve been. A truly safe and caring space when we needed it most. I 100% believe Chapo wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for this place and the people that cared for him. Just wow.
