Dr. Sands Meyer has been with VEG for 5 years. After completing the VEG Emergency Fellowship, she started as an associate ER doc in Alpharetta, GA. She transitioned to Medical Director of VEG Marietta, GA after a year of training as a medical director apprentice. She is taking on the role of Medical Director at VEG Viera, FL to get closer to her Florida family roots and continue to challenge herself to grow and develop as a veterinarian and leader.

I brought my cat Moe Moe here because he broke his foot in two places. The staff was absolutely amazing. I have never had an experience where I was able to be involved the whole time with his care. I was in a financial hardship and I was only able to pay half of the estimated cost and they still did all the procedures needed. Care and empathy like this is extremely rare and hard to find in this field. In my 12 years of veterinary experience, I never worked for nor went to a place that was as caring and compassionate as this one. Dr Bradley was very helpful, knowledgeable, and empathetic. The two techs working with Moe Moe before and after shift change we're also wonderful and very gentle with him. I will be forever grateful to this place and I wouldn't recommend any other emergency vet because no one will ever compare to this place. Thank you to all the doctors and staff here.

Super attentive and sweet. Dr.Alexander and Brie were quick to action when our sweet pup ate an AirPod (ugh I know..) They told us about previous experiences they have had and how they typically went to ease our minds. Our little guy went right along with them and they were so kind with him. He looks sad here but I promise he loved all the affection.

The experience we had, at one of the worst nights in our life, at the Viera, FL VEG was exceptional!! At 1:30 in the morning Memorial Day we brought our golden doodle, Scooter in for emergency care. I woke up at 1:30 AM and noticed Scooter was lethargic. I took him out in the yard raining and he just laid down and would not get up. We immediately took him to the Viera, FL VEG. He had a swollen stomach with heavy breathing. The ladies there immediately took him and started testing, including blood work, ultrasound, X-rays, starting IV’s etc. He had a seizure on the table. Needless to say we were a mess. That same day he was swimming and playing like normal with the kids. We were told he had a large tumor on his spleen that had ruptured/sepsis. He was only 7-1/2 years old with no previous major issues. A 60th birthday gift to my wife. Inoperable with 2 to 30 days to live. We made the only decision we could make. They brought us in a candle lit dark room to let us say good bye. They believed he could hear us but the seizure took allot out of him. The doctor came in when we were ready, 2 minutes, could not stand to see him suffering. He received the shoots and our best friend was gone! Nothing so terrible could have been done any better! The doctor and technicians (Jessica & Jessie) were wonderful!! Excellent service in one of the worst times in our life!!
