The staff was excellent through and through! Every single person we interacted with was very welcoming, attentive, and supportive. They didn't just check in on us out of necessity, but seemed to genuinely want to make sure we had a great experience and were very tuned into our needs, even despite an extremely busy wait room. I really appreciated that there were blankets readily available to grab from next to the waiting area, I was able to grab one and it helped my dog settle, which is something she often struggles with at vet offices. This was also my first time at VEG and I was really intrigued by the idea of being able to be a witness to the whole process. I really enjoyed being able to be with my dog while she was sedated, and enjoyed seeing the whole process and be with her every step of the way. One slight downside of the open space is that it can be difficult for animals that struggle with other pets (my dog has a high prey drive and gets very alert / reactive to cats), but I think that's an understandable tradeoff of the open office experience. The staff was aware of my dog's sensitivities and did everything in their power to make it comfortable for her!

Absolutely adore and highly recommend VEG in Pleasant Hill! Our little Mochi loved every doctor she saw! They handled her with such gentle and considerate care. We just adopted our sweet guinea pig at the ending of July from Petco. We didn’t know at the time but she was hiding an illness an upper respiratory infection. As time progressed she began showing more symptoms so I looked into her primary vet and they booked her for a week out, upon discovering how crucial it is to get a guinea pig medication immediately I knew I had to act quickly. I called back my primary vet but they had no other available appointments and directed me to VEG. I called and front desk staff was friendly helpful and gave me any information I asked for or needed, they sent me an intake form to fill out over text which was super straight forward, easy to fill out, and simple to use!! I never felt like I was stuck dealing with not understanding how to fill out something or how to work the website! We brought her in and they were already prepared for her and got her seen and meds filled! They also filled every syringe correctly dosed for us so it puts so much less pressure on us at home! She ended up bouncing back with symptoms a week after her first course and they were right there again when I needed them putting her on two different types of antibiotics. They also helped me again the other night I accidentally knocked over both her antibiotics I got refilled at her primary while prepping some more syringes her primary was closed so VEG was there to save the day! I called in and once we arrived they immediately got that refill for her! They were very understanding and reassuring that accidents happen all the time with medicine! It’s so hard finding exotic veterinary care nearby when it’s needed quickly and we’re so lucky and grateful to have been connected with a place like VEG and so thankful that it’s close by our city!

I honestly don’t have enough words to express how grateful I am to Dr. Brittany Nguyen and the entire team. My dog was extremely sick, and I was scared and overwhelmed. They treated us with so much compassion and understanding from the moment we walked through the door. Dr. Nguyen was amazing. She was kind, thorough, and truly cared about helping my dog. She took the time to answer my questions and made sure I understood his condition and treatment plan. My dog is part of our family and has been with us for years. Seeing him so sick was heartbreaking, but this team stepped in and gave him the care he desperately needed. I will always be thankful for their generosity, compassion, and dedication. Thank you, Dr. Nguyen, for helping my best friend. ❤️🐶
