EMERGENCY VETS AND URGENT CARE IN Boulder, CO

welcome to VEG Boulder!

Dr. Lindsey Geiger

Medical Director

University of California; UC Santa Barbara; UC Davis

Dr. Geiger grew up in California and graduated vet school at UC Davis in 2015. Early in her career, she worked as an urgent care vet in Denver and a shelter vet at Humane Colorado. Dr. Geiger has also traveled internationally to perform spay/neuter surgeries and provided preventative care in low-income communities.

A former colleague introduced her to VEG in 2020 to help manage the caseload. She grew to love the VEG model and the high quality of medicine provided. She enjoys keeping people and their pets together every step of the process and finds that it reduces stress for both the pet parent and the pet. She helped open VEG in Edgewater in 2022 and then moved to VEG in Boulder, where she now serves as Medical Director.

Dr. Geiger expresses that she will never go back to doing things the old way and that being a part of VEG is a privilege, as VEG is changing veterinary medicine. The freedom to say “yes” and help people and their pets no matter the circumstances is what she loves most about VEG.

Our VEG veterinary emergency hospital in Boulder, Colorado is open 24 hours, seven days a week to provide the highest quality pet emergency care and urgent care for animals of any kind – including birds and exotics!

10/10 recommend VEG when your pet is ill. they sit on the floor with you and your pet - it’s a little thing but it makes all the difference when your dog is in crisis. Both of our dogs, honey bear and care bear (one old girl and one pup), received wonderful emergency treatment with this group. They even sent a card to us when our sweet honey bear passed. The vet techs and vets were very communicative, professional and knowledgeable. They were so good with our skeptical little cattle dog. Thank you VEG! Hope we don’t have to see you soon, but we’re happy to know you’re there for us :)

If you are dealing with a pet emergency and your top priority is making sure your animal will be loved and cared for by an expert team that truly cares about animals, this is the place. We've now taken two of our animals to VEG and our experience in both cases was consistent. They treated our animals with genuine love and compassion. They communicated clearly about treatment and price. Obviously emergency vet care is expensive, but I would personally rather pay more knowing our animals will be in good hands, rather than take a risk somewhere that might be more economical. We hope we never have another pet emergency, but if we do, we know we can trust VEG.

We took our little pitty dog to the ER because she had a laceration right above her eye. We very much appreciated how kind and professional every single vet tech was with us. We loved the open floor plan of the clinic. We loved being able to be part of the process. Vet techs were very competent. We very much appreciated learning that our veterinarian had been trained at one of the best programs in the country. Her suture skills were really good (excellent). Better than we had experience many times in the past with our other dogs. Anesthesia protocol was very good.
