We took our sweet kitty, Iggy to be seen and they explained everything in detail. He has FIP and his body was shutting down. They were able to make him comfortable and drew fluid but ultimately we found he was septic. We made the difficult decision to euthanize him. My 8 year old son was with me and they were so kind to him. They allowed us time with him in a nice room and placed him in a box with a paw print. I hope we never need another pet at an ER but if we do, we’re going here.

Five stars because this place has done so much for our beloved pets and our family over the years. Today, our hearts were shattered when we unexpectedly lost our sweet Millie. In one of the most heartbreaking moments we’ve ever experienced, the entire team at ER Pet Vet showed us so much compassion, kindness, and grace. They comforted us when we needed it most and treated our precious girl with such dignity and care. Every time we’ve brought one of our pets here, they have gone above and beyond. It’s clear that every member of their staff truly loves animals and genuinely cares for the families who walk through their doors. Although our hearts are completely broken tonight, we found comfort in the love and support you gave us during such an unimaginable loss. I highly recommend the staff at this VEG EG after the care they provided my dog, Brady, following an injury he suffered. What started off as a straightforward need for stitches quickly became more serious when Brady experienced several episodes of ventricular tachycardia (vtach) related to a reaction to medications and potentially an underlying heart problem. It was incredibly scary, but the staff responded quickly and professionally, communicated clearly, and did everything they could to keep both Brady and me comfortable throughout the experience. The staff I worked with demonstrated compassion and integrity. I also really appreciated the thoughtful accommodations for pet owners. From comfortable spaces to stay with your pet, to snacks, drinks, and other small touches, it was clear to me that VEG understood emergencies are hard on people, too. Those kinds of details honestly made a meaningful difference during a really stressful evening. When I left Brady overnight for monitoring, I felt a bit nervous (as any owner likely would) but I mostly felt grateful that he was alive and in good hands. The next morning, I received a timely update (as promised), clear discharge instructions, and Brady has since made an excellent recovery! See pictures of him right after surgery vs. today. I cannot recommend VEG ER more if your pet needs urgent care. I know I sound like an ad, but the environment and level of care they provided to both my dog and me from start to finish was truly set apart from any other vet I've used. And I've had some wonderful vets over the years, so I don't say that lightly. :)
