VEG Emergency Vet in Brookfield, Wisconsin

Our experience here was excellent. Everyone is so compassionate and they obviously all care very deeply about animals. You stay with your pet the entire time which I love. They are very upfront about all costs and explain everything. They treated our dog’s pain almost immediately and were compassionate and understanding about his case, and some of the staff even came to just pet him and love on him while we were waiting to see the doctor. Can’t recommend this location enough...it’s a scary situation when your pet has an emergency and I wouldn’t hesitate to bring ours back here again. Thanks VEG for taking excellent care of our sweet boy. 🐶

We unfortunately had to use VEG twice in one weekend for our sweet old gal, Dora. We initially brought her in because she had a seizure at home. She was then diagnosed with heart disease and a blood clot in her left ventricle. We spent a few hours with the staff Saturday night while she was diagnosed; the staff was absolutely incredible and went over every option. The next night, we had to make the decision to euthanize her. We brought her back, and the staff again was amazing. They made sure we had nose prints, paw prints, and extra fur to share with our family. They made us feel comfortable during the whole process and gave us the time we needed with Dora. I was able to hold her while Dr. Cora administered the medication and it was so peaceful. Could not recommend this clinic enough. Dr. Hannah and Dr. Cora were both amazing. The rest of the staff we encountered during our visitors were also outstanding.

Exceptional Emergency Care You Can Trust—Without the Sticker Shock We had an emergency visit to VEG Brookfield after our 5-year-old Doberman, Zara, ingested a pest poison left unlocked by a pest control company. We knew time was critical, and thankfully, VEG saw us immediately and began treatment right away. From the start, the team was compassionate, communicative, and clearly experienced. Our vet, Dr. Sarah Muhs, was exceptional—her calm demeanor, thoughtful answers, and stories from similar cases helped put our minds at ease during a very scary situation. She explained everything thoroughly and reassured us while still making it clear what signs to watch for at home. A huge thank-you as well to the vet techs who were there every step of the way. They were incredibly knowledgeable about Zara’s treatment plan and offered alternative tactics for administering medications based on her personality and past experiences. Their presence and expertise made a stressful situation feel more manageable and collaborative. What stood out most was the open-concept setup. I loved that Zara never had to leave my side, and I was able to ask questions and advocate for her care at every step. It truly felt like a partnership, and I left feeling informed and supported. Sarah even made herself available until midnight for follow-up questions—which gave me so much peace of mind. On top of everything, the cost was far less than I expected for the level of care we received. I truly felt like we were in the best hands without being taken advantage of financially. I can’t recommend VEG Brookfield enough. Their speed, transparency, and genuine care made all the difference during one of the most stressful days of our lives.
