Dr. McKinney is a Fairfax, VA native who earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. During the COVID-19 pandemic, her practice shifted to emergency-only care, where she discovered how much she loved the fast pace, critical thinking, and opportunity to make an immediate difference for pets and their families. She joined VEG Alpharetta in 2023 before relocating back home to Northern Virginia with her family in 2024.
What Dr. McKinney loves most about VEG is the culture of continuous learning and collaboration. She enjoys working alongside colleagues who are passionate about medicine and always willing to learn from one another.
