24 Hour Emergency Vet Hospital and Urgent Pet Care in Sugar Land, Texas

Dr. Shalsee Vigeant
Medical Director
Louisiana State University; Ross University; Auburn University
Dr. Vigeant is originally from Louisiana where she did study before vet school at Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) in Dairy cattle and then horses. She obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Ross University and Auburn University SVM. She has worked her way up through our profession from being a kennel hand to practice ownership and now as a Medical Director for VEG. She has been in the emergency field for the last 3 decades and recently returned to the U.S. after a decade in New Zealand. Dr. Vigeant has a special interest in end-of-life care and relationships with referring veterinarians. She gains much of her enjoyment from training and mentoring young professionals in the veterinary field. When not at our hospital, she can be found spending time with friends/family around the world or playing beach volleyball with her little chihuahua watching on.
