24 Hour Emergency Vet Hospital and Urgent Pet Care in Dallas, Texas

Dr. Tiane Devore

Dr. Tiane Devore

Medical Director

Kansas State University

After graduating in 2016, Dr. DeVore started her veterinary career in a GP/emergency medicine hybrid hospital. She quickly realized she loved emergency medicine and transitioned to an overnight ER position. Dr. DeVore joined VEG in 2020 and loves our open concept approach to ER medicine. One of her favorite things about being an ER doctor at VEG is how we are able to keep customers and their beloved pets together as much as possible during their ER visit and during a pet's hospitalized stay. Outside of work she prioritizes spending time with her family, traveling, working out, and attending Kansas State sporting events—go 'cats!

VEG veterinary emergency hospital in Dallas, Texas is open 24 hours every day to handle pet emergencies in Dallas County. We offer expert pet emergency and urgent care for all kinds of pets – dogs, cats, birds, snakes, and exotic animals.

The staff is very excellent and caring. They love what they do and care for the animals. And unlike most vet office I have been to VEG keeps their space very clean. Like to add even when I didn't have the money to they at least seen about my pet.

My poor little baby had to be rushed in this morning as he had been throwing up blood overnight and I didn’t notice until I had woken up to him throwing up. I was wary of going to an emergency vet as they are known for being expensive and pushy about spending money on extravagant treatments. I called and the desk informed me that the exam fee was around the same as my primary vet so I decided to take him in. They treated him with emergent care, they were very careful to keep me informed of the cost of all procedures that were recommended for the course of treatment. The vet suggested the most reasonable course of action that only cost $80 on top of the initial exam fee. This was a relief. They were very kind to me and reassured me that there was nothing shameful about taking the cheapest course of action especially given the low level of severity of the situation. The vet was very kind and so was the vet tech. They had me in and out quickly and my baby is now recovering. They also let me know that if he needed to come back in within 24 hours of his visit, there would not be an addition charge for an exam fee which is very nice. Definitely would recommend to anyone needing emergency vet visits in Dallas.

Nobody wants to be in the situation where they need to take their fur baby to an emergency vet. But if you find yourself needing to go somewhere, this is the place to go. I can not recommend VEG enough. My sweet Jetty is like a child to me. He was in pain and uncomfortable. They got to the root of the issue. They performed appropriate scans then ultimately surgery. The vet who performed the surgery was very knowledgeable, communicative, and did a great job on his surgery. All of the doctors, techs, support staff, and receptionist are very compassionate. You can tell everyone is very passionate about wanting to help every animal that walks through the door. Also, everyone is genuinely very curious to figure out what is wrong with dog and cat - it’s obviously not just a job to these people. They really care. They are efficient too. Jetty spent 21 hours here. I left him for 7 hours overnight where he was monitored, fed, and well-loved. I have been to this same VEG once before when he was a puppy for a stomach virus and had the same excellent service, as well as a resolution to his discomfort. I also went to the Allen VEG to bring my friend’s senior dog in for a torn claw that needed to removed, and the staff was just as amazing there. Thank you so much to this incredible team. They stay checking up and are quick to answer questions during the recovery process at home. I’m sorry if you are in the situation where you are seeking an emergency vet, but don’t go anywhere but here. Your baby will get the best care.
