After having to go here this weekend for 3 days with my dog - I cannot Express how grateful I am for not only the care my dog received, but also the level of care they provided me as well - especially since I was not at my best. Being able to be with your pet so they aren’t scared or stressed alone changes everything for them. What I witnessed with other pets and their parents in challenging times was beautiful, professional and supportive. Sadly my dog passed away yesterday but I am grateful I had a place to care for her and help me figure out the best course of action. I have previously worked in vet clinics/animal controls, along with having to go to a few emergency clinics in my life. What I can say with my experience was that they made my grief and sorrow easier to manage while they cared for both of us since I could be with her the whole time. There were so many wonderful staff and doctors. I’m sorry I don’t remember all the names but if you had the opportunity to care for my dog Lukah. We thank you immensely for doing all that you do for the animals and their humans. Thanks for being the disruption in this industry that it’s so desperately needed.

The VEG Etobicoke staff and vets were really incredible, especially during such a stressful time. My cat swallowed a sewing needle and they were able to assess her quickly, locate the needle, and remove it without difficulty. I called ahead and they sent a check in form to speed up the process on arrival. We were immediately greeted and taken to a sofa where we could set up and stay close to our pet. There was some wait - all in all we were there for about 5 hours (7pm to midnight on a Monday), but she was seen by a tech immediately and by the vet within half an hour. They communicated with me and each other consistently throughout and I found the environment warm and friendly. I really felt like everyone cared deeply about the wellbeing of my cat, along with all the other animals on site. The clinic is modern and well equipped. Despite not being the closest vet emergency clinic to me, I would absolutely go back here (although of course I hope I don't have to!) because of the exceptional service and care that we received. At one point they came around with snacks for everyone to choose from! Really impressed and would highly recommend.

When my 13-year-old dog became seriously ill and was referred here by our vet, I was terrified. She was in a DKA state, severely dehydrated, and not eating. In all her years, I had never been through an emergency hospital visit with her before, and I felt completely overwhelmed walking through the doors. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated both of us with such kindness and compassion. My dog spent 4 nights and 5 days in their care, and during that time, I never felt like I was just another worried pet owner. They supported me, answered my questions, and helped me feel as calm and informed as possible during one of the scariest experiences I’ve had with her. I was especially grateful for the open-concept layout of the hospital. Being able to stay near my dog and see the team working gave me so much comfort. It made the whole experience feel more transparent, human, and connected. I will always be thankful for the care, patience, and compassion shown to my girl when she needed it most. I’m equally grateful for the kindness and support they showed me as a pet owner during one of my most emotional and fragile moments. I will never forget that.
