Dr. Wharrey was born and raised just north of Pittsburgh, PA. Upon earning his BS in Biology, he moved to Columbus, OH, where he earned his DVM from Ohio State in 2017. After spending a year in general practice, Dr. Wharrey decided to dedicate his career to emergency medicine and critical care, where he has worked in a 24-hr. facility ever since. Dr. Wharrey has a special interest in canine and feline internal medicine, companion exotic animals, and surgery. One of his favorite parts of emergency medicine is being able to care for pets when they need it most. Dr. Wharrey started at VEG in 2022, and loves that at VEG, we keep people and their pets together no matter what the situation.
