24 Hour Emergency Vet Hospital and Urgent Pet Care in Newton, Massachusetts

Dr. Jessica Bishop
Medical Director
Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Bishop started her career in veterinary medicine in 2005. She wore several veterinary hats during undergrad and veterinary school, gaining exposure to general practice, internal medicine, radiology, and zoo medicine, working as a receptionist, assistant, and animal care intern. She fell in love with emergency medicine working as an ER technician. After graduating in 2013, she completed a small animal rotating internship at New England Animal Medical Center, and worked there as an emergency-critical care associate, primarily overnights, until she joined VEG in 2019. She was inspired to make the move to VEG after learning about the culture of keeping people and pets together, the open concept, and the opportunities for emergency doctors to learn, grow, and develop, both medically and professionally.
