Dr. Gonzalez is originally from Connecticut and moved to Florida in 2016 to attend the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. She received her BS in Accounting from Fordham University in New York and worked for JPMorgan Chase in Investment Banking for 6 years, prior to changing careers to follow her dream of becoming a veterinarian.

After graduating from UF in 2020, she went through VEG's Emergency Internship Program in White Plains, NY before returning to Florida where she has worked as an Emergency Veterinarian in South Tampa for the last 4 years. During her time at South Tampa, she also went through the VEG ER Certificate program and Medical Director Apprenticeship. She has a passion for emergency medicine and doctor development and is excited to bring the VEG experience to the Southwest Florida community to help people and their pets when they need it most.

Our emergency veterinary hospital is located at 5010 S Cleveland Ave, in Page Field Center in Fort Myers. We’re near the Sam Fleishman Regional Sports Complex, and within minutes of Buckingham, Cape Coral, and Cypress Lake.


Whether your cat is vomiting or your reptile isn’t shedding correctly or your dog seems overheated after a day of play at Coronado Park, call us or just walk in — no appointments taken or needed.

Park in the Page Field Center. There are parking spaces outside our front door. If you need help getting your pet inside, call ahead – one of our VEGgies will meet you at the door.
