Greatest staff ever! Had to bring my beautiful babygirl and they were so accommodating, sweet, and informative. My GSP has a bit of anxiety and everyone was so patient with her. Thank you so much to everyone for the amazing care!

These people are such a godsend! The staff is so nice and compassionate. I have never been to a vet or emergency vet hospital like this before I am speechless on how nice these people were to me and my dog princess. The place is so clean and they offer food, coffee, and water. Everyone coming in was seen almost immediately. Such a great place to take your Animal in case of an emergency. They are the best! Thank you for everything you did for my dog princess. I am completely Speechless

The folks at VEG are amazing. They were very knowledgeable and clear in communicating our options in a very tough situation. They let us stay with our dog the entire time he was receiving care, and were quick to give us updates on what was happening when we were away. Our boy would quite literally not be with us today if they did help us with such care.

My blue heeler received amazing care here. No one wants to go to the emergency vet, but this experience was as painless as it could possibly be. The dr saw our dog within minutes of walking in and communicated a care plan quickly. They provided a quiet room for us because our dog is anxious. The nurses were knowledgeable, efficient, and comforting. My dog was admitted for the night, and they provided EVERYTHING so I could stay with her: bed, phone charger, toothbrush, coffee, snacks… I would never have expected that from an emergency vet. Not only that, but my dog received a very high quality of care, and she is now home and well. I could not be more grateful.

I had a really good experience here with my cat, Beau. As a college student on a budget, I really appreciated how understanding they were and how they helped get him the treatment he needed at a price I could afford. They were kind, patient, and never made me feel judged, even when I was second-guessing myself and worried about Beau. They were very gentle with him, and multiple staff members came in throughout the visit just to check on him and love on him. You could tell he already felt better just from all the love and attention he was getting. I’m so thankful for the care they gave Beau and how supported they made me feel during a stressful time. A special thank you to the nurse with the blonde curly hair and the male doctor, they were both wonderful.

I had to take my extremely "velcro" mini aussie in because he started having a cluster of seizures. All of the staff here are kind, compassionate and welcoming. The open concept set up was new to me but it allowed me to be with my boy the entire time. This was good for both of us. Everyone that worked with us took the time to listen and talk about treatment options. You are also welcome to stay the whole time to be with your pet. I wasn't prepared to be able to do that but it gave me great comfort. If I find myself in need of their services again, I may take advantage of that if I'm able. I think the hardest thing was leaving my boy. I didn't want him to think I wasn't coming back. He was started on medication quickly and has been seizure free so far, thank goodness! I had been to another local emergency vet in the past and it was a different experience. The waiting area was dirty, staff weren't welcoming or even trying to offer help at a time when, let's face it, things aren't going well and you just want to get help. I will 100% return to VEG in the future of needed. Thank you all!!! *including pic of our joyful reunion

I was here last night with my pup, Yoshi from midnight til about 4am. They were able to check vitals, do blood work and provide x-rays on site. The entire staff was extremely empathetic and professional. It was impressive to see them handling the animals attentively and how you as the pet parent get to be involved in every step of the process to offer your pet love and support during treatment. The facility is very clean. Special shoutout to Iris and Mario who were especially kind and compassionate to my special boy when he was in pain.

My experience taking my 1 year old toy poodle Luxe was amazing. It was everything I expected and more. As soon as I stepped foot in the door I was met by one of the staff members and Dr. Pauline Bravo was right there to attend to my Luxe who was not feeling well. Veronica and the rest of the staff were very helpful, friendly, devoted and professional. I would recommend the VEG Emergency Hospital to everyone that needs help with their fur baby/babies. VEG ER provided incredible care during one of the hardest moments with our dog Milli. From the start, she was treated with urgency, compassion, and expertise. Dr. Hoffman did an amazing job stabilizing her on arrival. Dr. Charity showed true dedication in helping get her strong enough to come home, and Dr. Miller was consistently kind and caring throughout her stay. A special thank you to Brenden, her nurse, who went above and beyond and treated Milli like his own. We’re also deeply grateful to Morgan, who was always attentive and caring despite being pregnant. Thank you as well to the rest of the nursing staff, including Christina, Cassidy, and Dom, along with management and the director for their support. Even during a scheduled power outage, they brought in a generator to ensure her care never stopped. We will forever be grateful—thanks to this team, Milli is home with us. ❤️

Absolutely outstanding service from VEG pleasant hill that words alone cannot describe. Unfortunately our cat ate a hair tie and needed induced vomitting immediately. Upon arrival the team here was extremely quick to assess Kylans situation and take care of him as fast as possible. Even with other situations going on at the time Kylan received the best care possible and the vets were able to get the hair tie out. Because of the situation we were unfortunate enough to not catch the names of the vets that assisted us but they provided us excellent service and went above and beyond to reassure us of the situations and provide a layout of what procedures will/might need to be done. We felt extremely blessed walking out tonight and are extremely grateful for each and everyone of the vets at VEG Pleasant hill. Thank you so much for helping save our kitty!

My newfound little kitten Chanterelle got herself trapped in a tight spot at home late on a Saturday night. She was stuck for a couple hours before I found her. When I discovered her, she was frantically crying and struggling. I got her free and found she had badly injured a rear leg and could not walk on it. I was afraid of how bad her injury might be. I called VEG and described the situation. Samantha was very kind and quickly made a good diagnosis over the phone. I felt they might be well qualified to provide urgent care. Upon arrival, I was taken to the cat room and immediately met with Nurse Ashley. She made a thorough preliminary evaluation. Also, Ashley and Samantha did everything to make sure we were comfortable. Dr. Edwards arrived within minutes. Both the nurse and doctor were very kind, caring and professional. Immediately they performed an ultrasound and then followed up with x-rays. It was their diagnosis that my kitten did not have any broken bones or internal organ damage. Throughout the entire visit, they clearly informed me of the costs of all procedures and made no pressure to perform unnecessary tests, etc. The nurse and doctor were happy to answer my questions and made sure I felt comfortable and informed throughout the visit. Their diagnosis was spot-on and over the next few weeks my kitten fully recovered. I was so happy! And, I was so grateful that the VEG team was there when we needed them. The VEG team are very professional and caring. They clearly love their jobs and love animals. The facilities are also worth noting: everything was spotless and clean, and the equipment was the most modern of any I’ve seen in any veterinary clinic. Thank you for taking good care of us!

All the doctors & techs that took care of Harper Jo were Fantastic!!! They took such good care of her & of us. We were seen right as soon as we walked in & they really cared about her!! We can’t say enough GREAT things about this place & all the people that took such great care of our baby girl!!! Thank you so much!! We love you all….

We are incredibly thankful for the VEG ER team and the amazing care they gave our Dr. Squiggles! We took Dr. Squiggles in when we noticed he hadn’t been peeing, and we were extra stressed because he’s known for being very feisty at the vet. Squiggles did not hold back from showing the care team his intense spiciness, and yet the doctors handled him with understanding and care. They identified a urinary block and clearly laid out a treatment / care plan for us. We’re sorry he gave the team a tough time (enough to break the ranking scale and warrant a new “Pepper X” designation), but he’s home now and is being a sweet bell pepper boy! We really appreciate VEG ER, and want to especially thank our care team: Dr. Wallach, Carla, Moira, Liz, and Maryan.

Everyone was excellent! Dr Juan was very knowledgeable and honest, and he collaborated with me to make sure that I was updated with what was going on and that I got everything done that I wanted to for my pet. The receptionist was super kind and attentive in making sure we were comfortable, checking in with us and bringing us snacks and drinks while we waited. All the nurses that worked with my pet were very empathetic and gentle with her to make sure that she was comfortable and getting the best care possible. I didn't have to wait at all to be brought back to the treatment area - they got started on her right away. My pet is a cat so we waited with her in an enclosed room to the side of the treatment area where she was more comfortable away from the dogs and able to walk about the room freely. We could still see through the blinds though what was going on in the hospital with the other pets that were there being helped and were given the opportunity to come to the treatment area to watch her being cared for.

Both of my cats have been admitted overnight. The most recent one was the scariest. He was very close to death and they were very quick to take care of him. They monitored him so well and gave him all the things to make him better. We slept there with our cats both times and it has been amazing each time. They are not only attentive to your animals, but to you as well. They genuinely care about you and your animals wellbeing. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone

We brought our dog, Buddy, to VEG twice last week, and I can’t say enough about the care we received. Our first visit was when Buddy wasn’t feeling well last Monday. We were able to bring him in right away and we got seen quickly. They took great care of him before he was transferred to Tufts, where he spent the week undergoing testing. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with cancer. We brought him home hoping to spoil him and make him as comfortable as possible, but it quickly became clear that it was his time. We made the difficult decision to bring him back to VEG to say goodbye. Even though the hospital was incredibly busy that evening, they welcomed us back without hesitation. Every single person we encountered was kind, compassionate, and treated Buddy with love. Even tho the practice is an “open room” concept, they had a private room for euthanasia, which we appreciated. One of the vet techs even searched the break room for every snack she could find, hoping Buddy might enjoy one last special treat. It was such a small gesture, but it meant the world to us. Saying goodbye is one of the hardest things you’ll ever do, but VEG made it as peaceful and comforting as it could possibly be. We will always be grateful for the kindness they showed us.

This is by far the best emergency vet I’ve ever been to. The staff (especially Taylor and Kristen) were kind, caring, and took great care of my baby! She was hospitalized overnight and I got to stay with her in a private room which made the whole experience so much less stressful for her.

This place ROCKS!!! I brought my cat 5050 in for a foxtail in her eye and they did the deed. Reasonable fees. I’ve been doing TNR ferals for 30-ish years. I have to say this place is the nicest I’ve ever been to. And a week later her follow up showed she is 100% good to good. Rocket crew at VEG. I’m so glad I’m a VEGetarian~ 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

On July 3rd (after 9pm) our dog was bit by a Coperhead snake. We were on vacation and far from any attention. From the moment we called to inquire, up to our discharge; our pet was immediately taken care of and the circumstances and treatment needs were clearly explained. Dr Sarbry and her team (unfortunately I don’t remember names, I was too distraught) looked after Tody constantly and made sure we were comfortable. They also allowed us to stay by his side. A week later, he is still recovering at home and we are very thankful for all the attention received. They acted fast which was very important to stop the venom effects.
